  2. @Uun is too kind a person, i wouldn’t use fiery orb as a doorstop. it is awful on my mind/fire i put superior asc in my ST hold, stacks nicely as i use it often for seismic smash, consider having both the purple hold damage proc and then 5 slot hecatomb to include the melee damage proc if the hesitancy on using purples is due to cost, it’s worth it for seismic smash and attuning your dominator ascendency set. run a bunch of TFs and buy them with merits if needed
  3. i’m not sure whether this would be possible within the game engine, but it would be cool for a genuinely challenging or scary halloween GM similar to the IP ghost ship, the GM crosses a slow path in atlas park - a dark, grotesque monster, medusa style. if you target it or get within 50ft you receive a strong debuff that lasts for a long amount of time, e.g 1 hour of in-game time. can only be killed either through setting traps and PbAoEs infront of it without directly targeting it or defeating the monsters that fall off behind it
  4. i mostly agree with this - i’m not a fan of combos and similar mechanics. i’d prefer a clean, meat and two veg, how’s ya father, 9-5, 2 up 2 down, red blooded, honest days work powerset

  6. if it's recharging and staying perma it's fast enough. i like to have mine stay perma even if hasten isn't on, but it doesn't matter too much if you need to use hasten also - just means if you go AFK for a bit you'll need to build domination back up i had a look at the build in mids, it's fine tbh - only a few bits i would change, but it's more of a minor tweak than a "oh dear lord what are you doing" type response: - i wouldn't pick spectral wall, is a bit mediocre, prepare to be underwhelmed by the fiery orb proc also - pick up incincerate rather than flares. you'll really enjoy it at the lower levels, it's quite a strong attack - take a slot out of gleam and give blaze a bit of extra love - 2 slot embrace of fire with recharge - you've picked up spectral terror quite late, consider having it earlier - i would rather have combat jumping than hover, but that's personal preference. i find hover slows me down and makes me a sitting duck - i wouldn't pick up assault and manuvers if i wasn't going to also pick up veng, i would drop evasive manuvers for veng, it's a nice LoTG mule also but gives the team a handy +30% def ish when things go pear shaped - including your phantasm - if you managed to free up a slot from somewhere, you could 4 slot mind over body with aegis to get 3% res, you don't need KB protection as domination gives that to you
  7. i wouldn’t waste slots focusing on def or res, if you have enough +rech for perma dom you’ll be surviving just fine. mine has as much defense as a snail’s shell but is generally alive dom should also recharge often enough that endurance isn’t much of an issue on my mind/fire i went for intuition radial for the damage, hold and extra range. i went with incan for the destiny slot for speedruns as barrier can be achieved through popping an insp

  11. true, and it’s not always correct, but can be an indicator of who to look out for on a team. i would never refuse someone from a TF based on their badge count, but if they haven’t got many and have all 4 travel powers i keep a mental note of where my bountiful supply of powerboosted veng will likely be coming from

  13. i agree with @Ukase that it should be on by default, it’s fun to see how long people have had their alts. i proudly wear my two main’s 2019 dates i also find number of badges is a good way to see if someone is experienced with their alt before starting an MO run or similar
  14. this is the reason i often set TFs to +1 or +2 enemies buffed in the 20-40 range - strongly encourages the oldschool team feel that i enjoy. also makes non combat archetypes more valuable too
  15. monsters and GMs should have +50% damage and accuracy and their regen doubled, i feel this would make them worthy of granting higher rewards - probably not a popular idea though
  16. you don’t have to use the control powers in every battle - in some teams you’ll just be playing the role of damage dealer, in others you’ll benefit from the control powers where things become hectic. having the flexibility to choose between the two is great @Shin Magmus +1 for a poison/fire def, incredibly powerful
  17. i love my mind/fire dom. all ranged powers, fast moving, great damage output and huge impact with permadom i sometimes try making a blaster - which is what i started with in 2005 - but feel like i’m missing half of my AT given i’m a dom main’er thesedays all the benefits of a blaster with an additional strong control power set and mez protection, win win
  18. i pick up combat jumping on every alt i take (other than my kin which has IR and is immune to combat travel lag) - i don’t know how people live without it. i like to be agile during battle hover makes you a sitting duck in my view
  19. i would say that trying to get perma hasten through using FF as the stopgap is going to be stressful and you’ll feel like you’re constantly spinning plates hasten is nice, but it’s not world ending to wait a few seconds for it to recharge

  21. depends what i’m doing - if it’s an MO or a declared speed run i’ll be monitoring the map to make sure things are orderly, as i feel people would expect a level of instruction from the team lead if it’s a PuG i do my best to ignore what everyone is doing so i don’t get annoyed that the kin defender is spending the entire TF using their T1/T2 blast powers rather than helping people out with SB
  22. the joy of fire is the beautifully quick animation times. it makes playing anything else feel clunky
  23. if you did want to play MA on a stalker, the crit chance of eagles claw is mostly irrelevant as the most effective attack chain would be to slot the chance for hide ATO in assassin’s strike and then after casting AS and you get your chance to hide, using eagles claw for a guaranteed crit
  24. haha, that is quite funny there’s a key difference between group fly and PvP though - some people like PvP 😉
