  1. elec melee on stalkers is the best version of the set in my opinion. having assassin’s strike and/or quick AS for some meaty ST damage really rounds off the set nicely. i procced out chain induction too which worked quite well paired with shield armour gives you two teleport AoE attacks which is great fun. though they don’t benefit from the chance to crit from hide as they’re pseudo pets
  2. here’s a guide on how to easily get the accolades linked by Uun:
  3. i believe you‘re thinking of the ‘rescue missing fortune teller from the circle of thorns’ mission which provides an accomplishment badge required for the Atlas Medallion accolade here’s the badges you need: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Received_the_Atlas_Medallion_Badge the fortune teller mission can be accessed in ouroboros in the lvl 15-19 section. the galaxy city badges can be accessed through the ‘echo’ zone portal at the back of ouroboros for the killing of 200 vampri and warwolves i recommend running the moonfire TF with a big team, or running the first mission on +0/x8 a few times
  4. sounds like RNGesus unfortunately cast you a poor hand a few times which happen to anyone also sounds like he was perhaps a few levels above you which makes debuffs less impactful defenders are squishy when things go south. was the team overall able to defeat hopkins and countess? if yes, sounds like things are working fine sometimes in CoH you die. i think it’s positive to have an element of challenge
  5. 100%. I also find that whether Controls or Assault are the primary focus depends on the team and challenge. There’s some instances where I’m focusing almost entirely on controls to keep things going, others where I’m just DPS’ing to the max i don’t find the lack of AoE a problem as I play on teams and that tends to be handled by other players. there’s a number of dom assault secondaries which have blaster rivalling single target DPS - fire and energy for example. earth and ice also quite damaging
  6. oh man, thank god you posted this. i recently made an alt and it's been driving me mad that since the recent release the camera pan is broken and keeps pinging back round unless the middle button is held down
  7. i’d still pick it up. still gives a moderate +34% dmg boost and also boosts other attributes like heals, end drain and defense buffs by 74%. great if you used it alongside something like vengeance https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=dominator_assault.sonic_assault.bass_boost&at=dominator
  8. i’m posting a reply simply to be part of a Diantane thread, the Salvador Dali of HC forum posters
  9. i wouldn’t worry about it mate, it’s not for everyone
  10. you’ll pick up IOs etc in time. i’d say you’re actually in a lucky position to be enjoying the game without needing to put everything on max settings and require expensive builds yet the IO system is complex, i’d say start with one power and a good set and then branch out if you need any influence along the way give me or anyone on here a shout, everyone’s happy to help
  11. it’s a common meta in the HC era, people want every AT to be a scrapper and build every AT in the same way and then get disappointed they didn’t click “Scrapper” when they chose their AT when making the alt blasters have high damage and low defences, always been that way. the best defense is a great offense
  12. “why isn’t my blaster a scrapper?”
  13. aw man, what a good film! i watched it a few weeks ago. way better than i was expecting
  14. i’m sorry to say that i click them every time immediately, and if i was told not to it would encourage me even more i yearn for the chaos
  15. hope you feel better soon mate
  16. with a rad you’re not going to have the same tangible impact like you do with a set like kin, cold, thermal, nature etc where you can visually see the effects and see the numbers change debuffs are still worthwhile, and good for applying damage procs into your powers. personal buffs don’t change the damage of a proc, but a 30% debuff increases its damage by 30%! i have a rad/ice i play on test and really enjoy it. i’d say stick with it and enjoy the more relaxed pace on teams
  17. shhh, i need to hide my disdain for certain ATs under semi plausible excuses
  18. all the more reason to choose a scrapper then - i’ve never been a fan of brutes
  19. yeah - bigger mobs, more chaos. more often you’ll be hopping through sequentially large mobs near each other when solo encounters are often less frequent and don’t last as long
  20. if you play solo i’d go scrapper so you’re not constantly feeling the need to chase fury
  21. amazing, welcome back! everything’s going really well. people are having fun, there’s great balance in the game, we recently star.. oh, regen? yeah, uh he’s doing great too! lovely guy, always doing.. great.. can you see him? eerrmm, i think.. i er, he’s at his parents right now.. somewhere far i think a phone? no.. i don’t think he bought a phone with him.. you know regen haha, he likes to be disconnected from the world sometimes doesn’t he anyway lovely to see you! just don’t go in that barn that’s making weak dull pain sounds, it’s uh.. haunted or something
  22. some thoughts if helpful spoiler: cheap cheap cheap! i use mine for mostly posi 1 and 2’s thesedays if i was to re-roll my kin i’d likely go with /rad for the -def as i love my low lvl posi’s, helps with the CoT. /elec feels like an obvious pairing but kin is often so fast paced i don’t think the benefits of the end drain are able to shine
  23. sorry this is General Discussion not Fan Fiction 😛
