On a slightly different take, I can pick up one resistance toggle in all the normal power pools versus what, five defensive toggles? For that reason it makes sense to me to go with resistance based sets over defense, because defense is so much easier to build up outside your secondary, and we haven’t even touched on what primaries like dark can do to help out, or the parry skills for melee types.

Well, I’ve told people in game before that I don’t bother with scrappers, because depending on which way I’m trying to go, brutes and stalkers do it better, so seems reasonable.

Was debating a sonic but didn’t know if the dom was acting tanky enough to pin the -res toggle on. I think with everyone running maneuvers FF becomes pointless, but could maybe go with rad too.

Someone in this thread mentioned that brutes had a higher damage cap than scrappers with more survivability and that’s why they needed their damage cap lowered. My question is does the higher damage cap matter when scrapper crits are accounted for? If scrappers have higher sustained damage then I don’t see what the problem is. Also, when I consider whether to make a brute or tanker, I choose tanker when I want survivability while leveling, as it takes a lot more work to get brutes to their caps than tankers, and that usually only happens in end game. A lot of people hardly bother to play end game content, so I think the leveling process deserves a little more consideration when these decisions are made.

If every AT performs the same then there’s no point in having different ATs.

What is City of Data? Tried searching and it gives me sites providing information about cities.

Do you happen to know what secondaries you have so far? Would rather not duplicate efforts if possible.

I paired them with kin so I could feel all around gimpy.

I find it interesting no one mentioned pairing dm with da. I leveled a spines/da and one of the biggest issues was end, which dm can help alleviate, plus it’s one of those layered defense sets people have been mentioning.

If there was a simple way to export our builds out of game I’d be more tempted to do this. As it is I tend to build my characters on the fly so I don’t use pines/miss.

I’m getting the same thing; I’m fine logging in, but once I try to zone I’m caught up in the loading screen. When I close and restart the program, then try to log back on to that toon, it tells me the character is still trying to log out, and kicks me back to the login screen. When I try to login it tells me the account is already logged in and then I get error code: 132793505 on my next login attempt.

Force field isn’t going to do anything for your damage; I’d say end game dark is a more useful set, though AVs running out of your debuffs can be frustrating. That’s the one thing I like in radiation over any other set, the debuffs go with them so just a matter of chipping away. If you’re looking at proc damage though, isn’t defender the better choice? Just asking as my support experience is less than other classes.

I always thought that power boost worked best with clickable buffs, which dark doesn’t have a lot of. I went with ghost Widow patron powers on my thugs/dark because of theme and for a second hold. It was also nice having s/l resist maxed out. I couldn’t tell by looking what your defense totals were, so scorpion shield might be a better choice for you, and I believe that has a hold as well.

As of right now my schedule is pretty open outside of Thursday.

I went dark/wp on my tanker specifically for the heal to help cover wp’s lack of one. I personally like that wp doesn’t put all its eggs in one basket, as it were. As far as bio goes, haven’t made it past the thirties with the set yet, but should help you become an aoe powerhouse, or at least the sentinel equivalent.

So, ran the Braun arc on a stalker, then I had to run it again on a sentinel because the D-bag didn’t cop to the murder. I’d really like the option to break into jail and kill him after that.

I switched over to vigilante alignment on a level 23 stalker using Null the Gull and attempted to use the contact finder to locate Shauna Braun, but she didn’t show up.

I went with a bots/emp myself.

What was your issue with sonic/sonic?
