So the best response to nerf TW is because of limited time to make the other sets feel better? lol That's nonsense too, the other sets will still be underperformers just with another added to the mix. TW is very niche as it is, it's not even stealing any business from the underperforming sets id be willing to wager. You either love TW or hate it because it's tricky, make it worse and it would outright suck. But hey as long as it sucks with the rest of them right? Thats the exact same logic (if you call that logic) that got EM ruined.
  2. No, stop with the tune it down a notch nonsense. Crazy powerful stuff is what makes the game fun. I'm not even sure where this comes from, never once have I been playing my TW tank and someone say man that needs a nerf. Its mostly wow thats cool, that looks awesome, wow you just demolished that group. It takes time, practice and lots of IOs to get to that point though. Give the other sets that aren't doing well a mechanic like momentum make it their own. Don't nerf the cool stuff that's just stupid. Just look at EM now.
  3. Yeah July 2008 I think was the ET nerf, it was a patch not an issue. Issue 9 was invention system may 2007. I remember not turning it back on till December 2008 for a few hours then not again till 2 months before sunset. I was wrong there but I was so disgusted with the change I let my emotions get the better of me. Wish I could have that time back.

  5. No it wasn't, I was IOd out for recharge when they came down. Quit playing the game becuase they ruined my main that I had countless hours on.
  6. Because its a later designed set that takes into account how the end game content, IO set bonuses and unique set mechanics play. Its fresh unique and awesome because more time went into designing it. The same focus needs to be applied to the underperforming sets. Not nerf the ones that make you feel awesome especially when the don't break the game. I never understood why melee sets always get looked at first for nerfs when you have troller teams zerging the map and single controllers soloing giant monster's. Not that I have any issues with that, I do that also, have no issue with it, I love it actually, but why is a melee set always the first to catch attention when there are other functions way more overpowered feeling than the melee set?
  7. That's what I'm saying. The talk about nerfing brute resistance caps to buff tanks is ludicrous because SR exists for all melee ATs and IO defense set bonuses exist for all ATs. With recharge and IO sets my Grav Time has 50% ranged defense and also more 50% of the time when I activate power boost. I hover so with holds, slows and defense nothing gets close to hit me, unless I get careless. Imagine a team of that. That's why nerfing Brutes is not the answer to make tanks feel more needed. No AT is needed and that's a good thing.
  8. I disagree, it's only easier to get to the caps. Just like with resists brutes take more set bonuses to get there. With SR stalkers and Scrappers can get there also. You can get most ATs to 50% and most melee ATs to 60% But once you get there durability is pretty much equal. Tanks arent really more durable at that point just easier to build to that point. Well I guess because of more HP they are, but not much will be hitting you anyway, and if it is hitting you that little bit of hp is only about a 1-2 second buffer.
  9. That's exactly my point, it's easier for tanks to hit any cap, harder for other ATs including Brutes. With SR you can build a scrapper or Stalker to be just as durable as a tank if you sideline the attack some. That's why this isn't a nerf Brutes solution because you have to sideline attacks to cap their res or def. So even if you nerfed brute resistance caps the SR cap is the same across every AT even past the melee ones and you will still have people soft capping blasters defenders and controllers leading the team. That's one of the reasons why nerfs for brutes aren't the answer. All It will do is create an issue for those that like to main tank with their Brute. And push more people into hybrid or full defense sets.

  11. No, they do not. Nerfing them as a result of what IOs can do for them will only lead you back to Brutes need a buff 6 months from now. How do you compensate the brute players whose IO sets and incarnate slots are now 5-10% useless because the nerf put their resistance cap below where they currently are? How do you balance Super Reflexes which shares a cap across all ATs? The super reflexes scenario is illustrative of why its not a tank or a brute issue, if there is any issue its not around survivability caps. Its unique features like bruising. Brutes are exactly where they need to be, able to reach the res caps but harder to do it in most cases than the same tank.

Im not worked up friend, You are the one posting a doctoral thesis there talking about no non defense set should be able to soft cap to the system being broken when thousands of us utilize it, have fun with it and think its fine. So agree to disagree partner. You obviously have issues with sets, PvP not being the way you like it and defense soft capping. I would suggest to try to find a way to enjoy it as is because those are non issues for the majority.

I get it just fine you are in reality the self aggrandizing take your ball and go home type but are trying to deflect what you are on everyone else around you, but try to disguise it in what you think is sharp witted cutting remarks you think proves your point but in essence just really makes you look a bit bitter. Im not offended at all by you, i really dont think you understand how the game works now and thats your biggest problem. You havent proven any point because your points are invalid in the first place, its not your game, your opinion isnt in the majority, and if you were running a business that didnt care what effect changes had upon your clients or what they thought about it, you wouldnt be a very good businessperson or in business very long.

Again, if your team is operating correctly neither tank damage or brute damage is going to matter because there are other ATs that can do it better than both, its not about underperforming with either, its about blasters, controllers, scrappers, and even stalkers having lots more damage than either tank or brute which in that scenario will outperform either, so that relegates both to being the alpha absorbing spearhead of the team - which isnt required either honestly. I didnt chop it off to validate anything, your long winded baseless rambling exaggerating how you think tanks are terrible just didnt deserve a response aside from the one i made, my point is, if you are popping inspirations to stay alive to survive an alpha which is exactly what you said, you really dont know what you are doing in the first place with a tank or a brute and should probably not play either one.

  20. My normal attack chain is: Concentration Mass levitate to gain insight Greater psi blade to consume insight Psi blade sweep Greater psi blade again Sometimes I'll cycle psi blade sweep and psi blade in rapid sequence to build fury fast.
  21. I love my tanks so any changes to them without nerfs to my other ATs im good with cause I will benefit also. Like I said if my tanks are happier so am I. But I don't won't it to come at the expense of my brutes, stalkers or Scrappers.
  22. I honestly havent run across any wall, I'll shownthe build off when i get home from work, but it's a fast cycling attack set with great mechanics and double build up with the Gaussian proc.
