  1. I think the Calvin Scott one is hard... the one where he blows up the supervillain volcano at the end! The devs really got good at making missions after a while - once they got over that Tina Macintre and Maria Jenkins guff. Bleh!
  2. I agree - there are already quite a few lots of pieces that aren't compatible and are allowed. I don't know whether they will be blocked over time. I'm not sure I like the idea of having freedom to make a super-clippy, ugly character but... maybe that freedom is what this game is about?
  3. It's Wedding Tux in Jackets, but sometimes it doesn't show up because of incompatible other costume pieces, so make sure you start with something like "Bare" and add the Tux before other costume parts, then you know it's compatible.
  4. Thanks for your build. I'm trying to tweak it now. :) ALso, many thanks to everybody else who contributed to this thread. It's amazing to finally see some inspirational WP/SS builds!
  5. Thank you very much for information on incarnates, squeezing this info from the internet is like getting a bleeding stone... oh.
  6. Apparently, some say other sets have more regen than regen set and wp is one of them.
  7. Awww no cross punch or spring attack? :( Anyway, those last two builds were Invulnerability, not WP matey ;) hehe
  8. THIS IS AWESOME. I concur with this because I love watching enemies fly. This would give incentive to slot KB enhancements and say a big, "Go Home", to those stupid KB to KD enhancements!
  9. This sounds like valuable advice, and I appreciate it. I heard that endurance should be less of an issue when you get an expensive fully setted out character. So my question is: Is a full, expensive, set build; enough to remove the problems such that you can pick Earth mastery AND the Resilient alpha slot, or is the 45% end reduction alpha required? I'm just curious.
  10. I just wanted to do a mini hijack here with a note regarding patience. If you are buying something like white salvage and expect the sale to complete quickly and it DOESN'T, click find - you might note that someone outbid you by a LOT - don't panic, the AH is just filling their order before you. It doesn't mean you need to start bidding much higher. I've seen prices of orange salvage go shooting up from 500k to 700k just because the orders aren't filling instantly. If you are patient, it will probably come down again, unless everybody is trying to outbid one another (we can call it a bubble, if you like). On the other hand, it's a phenomenon you might want to try to exploit and I wish you well with that endeavour. Have some patience and save some inf.
  11. I CAN'T GAME THE MARKET TO MAKE BILLIONS OFF OF COMMON SALVAGE! The market is RUINED! *flails and cries* >.> Whatever you like, darling. I'm using Shinobu's guide to make my millions of the AH for my main.
  12. Firstly, thank you very much for being the ONLY WP/SS tanker to post anything useful. Wow! You're hardcapping Smashing & Lethal - I like it a lot. Anyway, it's a lot better than anything I could come up with, so thanks for posting this :) I will try to change my own WP/SS into this!
  13. I wonder if it might be possible to add a half-and-half horizontal colour pattern to enable some awesome MODERN asymmetrical costumes! I would also advocate the creation of a half-and-half vertical pattern that works like the Blend pattern but with a hard line.
  14. It's a little odd because the older costume parts tended to have the matte finish because the tech didn't exist or was expensive for shiny things, whereas while lots of newer parts - such as vanguard gloves etc - were shiny, not all of them were, or had that option. Which I found curious.
  15. Over what period?
  16. It's a compounded effect. As I stated before, Archetype homogenisation is a similar effect to power creep. Remember, set bonuses happened many Issues (content patches) before incarnate powers.
  17. Take a look at the recipes on the market. You will note that there are a considerable number are for sale in great quantities (i.e. there are 790 Call to Arms: Acc/Dam/Rech recipes) but with a combination of the nigh-ubiquitous expensive component (500k orange salvage) and expensive crafting fee, they are simply not worth even crafting to convert. I thought the crafting fee may be the way to go to improve this market, but now I note that the expensive component is even more of a factor.
  18. I am NOT making a demand here, but ... I always wondered why so many costume parts didn't have shiny versions, where some parts did. Would it be difficult to make a shiny (reflective-looking) versions of existing armour pieces?
  19. I don't know how to do this, but I can work it out given time. It looks like you've copied a command off a guide, is that right? It looks like you need to remove the quotation marks, first, then you should maybe put something proper where it says tooltip (it's the ability name you will see on hover-over), then where it says command you put the command, which you want to be MindControl or whatever it's supposed to be - you may have to look this up somewhere, you may also need to put a target after that similar to the one below. Zolgar wrote this for me in another thread; /macroimage Jump_SpringAttack SpringAttack powexeclocation target Spring Attack It makes a Spring Attack macro that uses the powerexeclocation of the target. From Shenanigunner's GABB... http://www.shenanigunner.com/ So something like... (this may be wrong)... /macro_image MentalControl_MindControl MindControl target Mind Control $$ local “$target you are under my control now!” I know it looks like it just says mindcontrol 3 times in a row but one is the icon, one is the tooltip for the icon, and the next one is the actual cast.
  20. See, I couldn't disagree more. I think it's good to have that choice of character actually matter and the role I decided upon be an actual role. I think that's a cool thing. I think this is something that I've noticed more and more because some blasters(!) are able to tank with the help of set enhancements and Accolade abilities. Archetype homogenisation is something akin to power creep, we haven't noticed because the whole game has arrived on our doorstep as-is.
  21. If the reward for the packs goes under 10m, people will stop buying them. Right? Right?
  22. After Honoree is defeated in LGTF, would it be possible to put a semi-official storyline together for the cure? I mean... Montague has you cure the lost, so... [trying not to give too many spoilers here] (I presume that Paragon didn't sneak in this story before the game shut down, and I just haven't come across it).
  23. It appears that the playerbase is getting wise to the notion of selling everything in order to fund Attuned enhancements. Would it free up the market to replace the fixed fee for crafting enhancements? Perhaps if the market fee were higher to make up for the loss of this inf sink, this would encourage much more crafting of enhancements. What do you think of these ideas?
  24. It's also a useful power on a stone tank/brute. It's teleport.. WITH DAMAGE! :) Can confirm, Spring Attack is a fun AoE that does good knockdown. Great for tanks, it compliments Foot Stomp when it's on cooldown. The only thing I don't like about it is that often I end up miles away by accident because it's not PBAoE. :D This should be the right set up for that: /macroimage Jump_SpringAttack powexeclocation target Spring Attack If I have that right, it will create a macro with the Spring Attack icon, that when clicked will activate on your current target. It works if you change it to this: /macroimage Jump_SpringAttack SpringAttack powexeclocation target Spring Attack The button needs a name. But also it doesn't get a timer on it or a small icon to indicate it's on cooldown.
  25. True. However, one of CoH's strengths is the ability to have basically unlimited alts. Once a character is leveled to 50 and gets fully slotted, that character doesn't need further enhancements. However, when the player starts leveling a different character, they are back on the market purchasing enhancements (funded with earnings from their previous character). That helps keep demand up, which keeps prices from falling too far. As more and more wealth is created, especially by players using this guide, prices will start to fall, because the demand will drop (people using this guide know how to get rare's for cheap, and won't pay inflated prices for them) and supply for the rares will increase. There won't be a steady supply of new players to fuel the market... I'm not being negative about this guide (which is awesome), or players who engage in "flipping" (because who could say anything negative about Shinobu), just realistic that it's an economy subject to the same forces of supply and demand as any other... Whilst I agree that this *should* be the case, ultimately it comes down to this question; -Will farmers get bored and quit the game faster than people who want to level/gear up new alts?
