  1. When was the last time you did some of the old Devouring Earth arcs? Been a long time for me, so that could be interesting?
  2. Don't know how many other people do this, but I delete a ton of recipes as I'm playing if I don't think they'll sell for much. But I rarely delete enhancements. If I took the time to craft it or buy it, I'll likely resell it even if it's only for 1 influence.
  3. No way! Everyone should try to be more like Scrappers. Blasters do it by blending the names together.
  4. I use 3000 converters in a day sometimes, so it gets it's exercise lol
  5. That's why pricing would be so important. My assumption is that, at least initially, people would still be buying enhancements for about the current going rate. So there could be a lot of initial profit. Maybe. Rare salvage could possibly spike to 1 million and stay there in such a situation. Plus it's not like I have anything else to spend all that influence on, so if I lost a few billion messing around it wouldn't make any impact.
  6. Depending on the seeding price, this is exactly what I would do.
  7. I get this is a matter of perception, so I'm not saying you're wrong, just to be clear. But I always liked the term Blapper and greatly prefer it to Blanker. But I'm also a long time Scrapper player so that may play a factor.
  8. Plenty of reasons were given, you not agreeing doesn't make them not reasons. It's all based on preference and is completely subjective. My reason is simply that is is less time consuming than buying recipes, salvage, and crafting. Depending on a person's amount of influence, it's just easier and faster. People that want to get the most bang for their buck likely do it different than me. And enhancements are the same price regardless if they are attuned or not. So buying the crafted enhancement and catalyst is more expensive. Attuned and non attuned IOs come from the exact same pool. The only exceptions to this are Winter IOs and ATOs.
  9. I'm not opposed to the idea overall, but I think the cost should be at least twice what you mentioned. 15 to move to the next enhancement.
  10. So I got a new mouse today(Razer DeathAdder) that has a much higher DPI than my previous(Logitech G602). What does this have to do with marketing? As mentioned previously I do in set conversions to make some of my influence. About 50-120 a day, so I'm doing lots of clicking and dragging. Got the timing down pretty good, I'll drop the enhancement, click and immediately go back to pick it back up again in case it didn't convert to what I wanted. If I get the conversion I want I'll generally catch it slightly before I drop the enhancement again to convert. Got the timing and rhythm down pretty good at this point, do hundreds of drag and drops a day. Well the much faster speed setting for my mouse has thrown off my timing and several times this evening I've converted an enhancement I didn't want to because the muscle memory makes it automatic. Not really complaining, I just find it interesting.
  11. Kinda getting bored with the in set conversion game. Think I may try and branch out and see what else I find.
  12. Absolutely it's selfish, I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying your suggestion is based on what you want, so it's no less selfish. And there's nothing wrong with that.
  13. I find this extremely disingenuous since you are making this suggestion because it is what you want. So pointing fingers about people being selfish is just going to be some circular and pointless argument. Sure we can do it, but it seems like a giant waste of time.
  14. Absolutely agreed.
  15. You're right. I just feel the supply issue would be easier to address than the influence issue, that's why I focused on that.
  16. In CoH the entire problem was supply. Everything is easier to accumulate here on HC, on Live things like PvP recipes were stupidly rare. The merit prices, converter, and seeded salvage demonstrate this. Supply was the cause of inflation on Live. The other things mentioned certainly contributed to that, but they only mattered because of the intentional scarcity of certain items. Which is fine, digital items being infinite resources, all scarcity is intentional.
  17. And I do with my Ice Blaster. But I like Inferno and Nova as they are, don't want them changed.
  18. No thanks, I like the nukes the way they are. Love running into the middle of a mob and blowing them up.
  19. I used the Logitech software to map the extra buttons to certain keys or key combinations. Then in CoH I just did the binds using standard keys.
  20. Is there a way to easily export a thread from these forums? If so I might give it a shot.
  21. My suggestion is to find a better Brute to team with.
  22. I have Provoke on one of mine and I've tried, but Provoke is terrible. The only time it's ever worked is when I did an all Blaster ITF, and then it just caused me to die really, really fast. I agree here. I have a farming Brute, and if Tanks can now do it a little bit better, I'm not sure why that would bother me since I'm still just as effective.
  23. The seeding was done at 1 million. Also my internet had been down for a few days, so last evening when I was finally able to log on I put out bids for 400-500 pieces of rare salvage around 502-505k each, that probably hasn't helped you. I have a ton of recipes I need to craft. I expect my bids to have filled by the time I get home today, but salvage has been slowly creeping up, so that may not have happened for me either.
  24. My home internet was out for a few days. I'd like to think my lack of activity Sunday through Wednesday afternoon made an impact, but I don't know.
