  1. Oh, maybe I misunderstood what they do. I got the impression that they were stationary. Do they move around?
  2. I have a couple Doms and I get where you are coming from. My Mind/Psi was hard to level and still feels a kind of wobbly. My Dark/Savage leveled pretty easily and is now a monster. In solo, I think the -ToHit of the Dark is more beneficial than the -Recharge of Mind. Also, the Savage melee attacks do ridiculous damage. I also came across the feeling that my Controller was stronger at mid levels than my Dominators. Actually, with all of them tricked out at 50, I still feel that the Controller is stronger overall. That is probably just due to my playstyle since I am more familiar with the Controller AT than the Dominator.
  3. I am plan(t)ning to roll up a Plant/Kin soon, so I will be sure to join you! I have been wanting to roll a Kin since Live, but never really found one that suited me. It seems like Plant/ is a good thing to pair it with. Well, anything would be, I guess, but Plant seems quite different from my Grav controller, so it will be something new for me. I do have one question, is Carrion Creepers worth taking? It has such a long recharge time. It looks like it only does meh damage, and the slow looks unexciting. Thing is, I am only getting my info from Mids, so I need some input from folks with real experience with it. Also, I'm thinking of going Leviathan Mastery, mostly so I can have a Coralax. Is that a decent Epic?
  4. So I added these onto my Gravy and now all I want to do is WH stuff. I mean, I used to always want to do that before, but now I actually can. It's awesome!
  5. Okay, I was wondering if I was misremembering. I have had both at one time or another, and it seems that I recall they do function as a break out. Well, I think the way they really function is to add the Mezz Res immediately. If that is enough to be unaffected by the current mezz effect, then it will break you out. If the additional res is not enough to resist the current effect, it will not break you out. It is not an automatic beak out like a Break Free is.

    Rumors of Changes

The best way to get unconfused is to join Tanker Tuesdays and just stomp some face. I have found that stomping face fixes most problems.
  7. It suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked! I remember many times dying multiple times just trying to get to low-level missions. I remember even more times just having a staring match with your opponent as you awaited your two powers to recharge.
  8. I see no time for Katie TF. Anybody want to get together a team of Doms to spank some Witches?
  9. Seems like a Rad/Rad tank would be pretty good for debuffing. Ice/Ice would be good for mitigation and a bit of control. I'm not sure what you are going for here when you say "Support". Not much in terms of team buffing in Tanking, other than the one Shield power (which is pretty cool).

    Rumors of Changes

This is called "Taunt". Am I the only one that doesn't see what all the bruhaha is about? Like, I'm happy with my F3 tank as is. If they want to buff it up a bit, that's cool, too. Don't care when, since it does fine already. I just do not understand what everyone is going on about.
  11. My first attempt at a buffer type, honestly. I played a fire/kin way back on Live, but didn't make it past 25. So, I'm not so sure about how to slot the Kin powers. Any recommendations, especially obvious goofs, please let them rip. 12. Hmmm... very cool, thanks for the thoughts. I have been trying to get into a Kin of some type. Tried a defender, a MM and something else, but now I may just go back to my favorite AT and do a Plant/Kin or Ill/Kin.
  13. Great, this is super helpful!
  14. I think Controllers are probably my favorite AT. I have a Grav/Storm that just monsters through everything. It sometimes surprises me how quickly she takes down mobs. So it got me to thinking, what is the highest kill-rate controller combo? All things considered, buffs, debuffs, attacks, controls, what are the two that synergize to take things down the fastest? Doesn't necessarily need to be highest DPS, I am looking for fastest kill rate. So, we can include aspects like -Regen, -Def, -Res to enemies, that will speed things up. Or +Recharge, +DMG, +ToHit to self. Anyway, I'm curious what you guys think!
  15. If there is, I don't know the syntax. Generally, the Wormhole to self accomplishes the same thing since Singularity is most often right over your shoulder.
  16. OOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGG you guys I did a thing!!! OMG OMG OMG this is so cool. So, I don't know about you guys, but I SUCK at using the mouse reticle in combat. I can never find my stupid mouse pointer. Then, when I do, I click somewhere and it's probably invalid, so I have to click a few more times to finally get the power to fire. This makes using stuff like Wormhole problematic. As we all know, the advent of KB>KD enhancements has made Wormhole into a gawd power, but having to use the targeting reticle makes it less useful for me. So, I created some pre-targeted binds for it. (1) TP Max Dist: /bind numpad0 "powexec_location camera:max Wormhole" (2) TP target to myself: /bind Q "powexec_location self Wormhole" (3) TP to Target to Target: /bind numpad9 "powexec_location target Wormhole" All these three allow you to pop Wormhole with a single click and NO stupid targeting reticle. Makes it SO much faster. Enjoy and share any others you create.
  17. Someone has WAY too much time on their hands and I think it's me.
  18. Thought I would share my normal Teleport binds. These are mostly modifications of others above. You can substitute out any of the keys I have used in the examples for any other key you prefer. They could also be converted to macros. (1) Press the Q key and teleport the max distance straight forward: [[ /bind Q "powexec_location camera:max Teleport" ]] Super helpful for fast long-distance movement. (2) Press the Numberpad 0 key, teleport to your selected target: [[ /bind numpad0 "powexec_location target Teleport" ]] This works on any target that is already selected, opponent, teammate, friend, pet. (3) Using the numberpad, select a Teammate by ordered number and teleport to them: [[ /bind numpad2 "team_select 2$$powexec_location target Teleport" ]] The example above is teammate #2. Set up a bind for each teammate 1 through 8. The tricky part about this is that it requires two clicks, one to select the target, and one to teleport. Just quickly double-click the key to get over there instantly. Using these can really get you around combat much better. One thing to note about teleporting while standing on the ground, any slight elevation difference may interrupt your teleport distance. Sometimes it will stop the teleport entirely, and sometimes it will just teleport you to the point of interference. I have tested this a bit and cannot find any consistency in how it chooses to react. Another note when teleporting to target, sometimes, for no apparent reason, you land just out of range of your target. Again, I cannot find any rhyme or reason for when this happens.

    I did a terrible thing

And this thread is proof that you really need to read every thread in the AT forums. Never know what you're gonna learn! (Often not associated with the title)

    Dominating Witches

Yeah, after building 2 Doms, one I love, the other doesn't delight me but still kicks A, I kind of want to only ever make Doms, anymore. Now, I'm looking at Earth/Earth for good bam bam. Grav/Fire because I love the Grav controls and I love burning stuff. Ice/Ice because ICE ICE BABY. And Plant/Thorn or Plant/Rad just for fun. I just wish Doms had more primaries to pick from.
  21. Awesome, thanks for the tips!
  22. Did a KHTF last night, as it is the WST. It was AWESOME going in with Domination up and not getting knocked all over the place by those stupid Hurricanes.
  23. Heyooo Masters! I have been wanting to make a Kin for a while. I love the team buffs and enemy debuffs, and it just seems like an all-around helpful set to teams. I've been trying to figure out what to pair it with, made a Kin/Nrg Def, an Earth/Kin Troller, and a Something/Kin Corr, left them all at level 1. None of them got me going. Finally, I realized a MM Kin would be great, if it works the way I hope it does. Lots of "teammates" aka pets to buff up. And, I can let the pets do the damaging while I focus on buffing, healing, and debuffing. Looking at the various pet sets, I admit that most of them annoy me. They are too big, or too noisy, or too ugly, or just plain douchebags. But, the Beasts seemed nice. Wolves, Lions, and Wolves, oh my! So, I am thinking Beast/Kin. Beasts are mostly melee, which pairs well with Kin, which likes to be near the action. It also works well with my playstyle because I tend to prefer being in the melee mess. I know beasts are not as popular as some, but honestly that makes me like them even more. But, having never studied MM's, I have a bunch of questions. First of all, do all the Kin buffs affect the MM pets? Siphon Power, Increase Density, Speed Boost, Inertial Reduction, Transference, and Fulcrum Shift? If so, it seems like you can really have some hot stuff pest. Fast moving, high jumping, mezz resisting, damage dealing, and energy efficient. It's not going to change my mind if they don't all work on the pets, but I don't want to be spending my time speed boosting my wolves if it is not doing them any good. So, I just need to know which ones work and which do not. Also, out of those two sets, are there any super skippable powers? Out of Kin, it seems like I can probably skip Repel, although that could come in handy if I get too swarmed. In Beasts, I'm thinking about skipping the three "Call" powers. It just seems like I'll be busy enough managing the pets and buffing my party that I won't really have any time to directly attack. And the damage on those looks pretty lackluster, anyway. And the debuffs on them seem weeeeeak. But, maybe I am misreading them, and some of those might be good. Any recommendations are appreciated!
  24. I don't know if this is considered farming or not, but I just level up using TFs and MSRs. Run the TFs on full 8-person teams, if possible. As a tanker, it's easy to put together a team for this. Usually you can arrive to 50 with at least 1000 merits fairly easily with this method.

    Help My Eagle Woman

UPDATE: So, she's up to 50. Incarnate slots all at T2 or T3. And she is so much fun. The only other Dom I have a Mind/Psi and this plays so differently. The Mind Dom is kind of a slow, luxurious killer. You can take your time and watch the bad guys kind of wither under your powers. This Dark/Savage one is MUCH more active and you really feel like you are dropping the beat down. /Savage does WAY more damage than I expected. I sometimes get scrapperlock and forget that she has control powers, which inevitably gets her dead. But, if I keep the mezz's rolling and spam the melee attacks, things just go down FAST. Feral Charge is at under 3 second recharge time and feels a bit like cheating. With Living Shadows spammable, basically nothing can run her down as she pops around the battlefield. If I am in a situation that is a bit too dangerous, I can play her totally at range, and let the pets do most of the DPS. Dropping Shadow Field in before jumping into the middle of a big group is great mitigation. Living Shadows keeps things hit with Fearsome Stare or Heart of Darkness from wandering or running off. Not that it matters if they wander since she can get to them instantly. Groups of white cons are generally dropped with Fearsome Stare + Feral Charge + Rending Flurry. Single White Cons can usually be taken down with one Vicious Slash. Dark is a great combo with it, thematically, but most of primaries would probably be good. Thanks for all the help, everyone!
