Restrict Judgment powers during regular play.
Troo replied to Darkneblade's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I agree with this. I'd also agree some adjustments could be made. Examples of minimal code changes that could have a desired effect: Slide the line from 45 to 49. On top of that, and allow the use of incarnates as an option for Flashback content at all levels. Someone is against more content? I don't think anyone is against more content, especially high level content. -
Sorry it has been crazy busy. The goal was just to let folks know there may be something worth checking in on. It's gonna be huge. side note: Love seeing the flash back fun and best of April 1st efforts. Maybe this year the HC team could borrow the characters & costumes we can't use, that @brigg has compiled, and just for the day have them pop up everywhere for some enemy group.

How about pick a coop zone and allow a special event. 4 zones each with a different special event. Then shuffle what zone has what special event. I'll cover any increased sever costs.

Doh! Awesome link by the way.

I would totally agree with adding endgame while trying not to impact the rest of the game. It's a tricky. Not everyone or AT has an uber build.

Disliking your idea or noting it's flaws does not create any requirement that an alternative be proposed. That odd notion has arisen to give the proponent an 'out' to avoid taking up the burden of defending their proposal or working to improve it. It's become popular because it takes essentially no effort. I'm simply thinking of something that could keep things interesting while folks are stuck at home. Your dislike of an idea didn't bug me, I simply followed up to ask if there was something you'd like instead or prefer since you were pretty specific regarding Halloween.

Makes sense, got an alternative?

No, nothing like: Custom Power Set Custom Power Set: Purchasing this item will get you a phone call from the designers at Paragon Studios who will walk you through the process of creating your very own customized power set of unimaginable power. You decide the Archetypes it works with, what attacks and buffs it has, and what the animations and effects are supposed to look like. Please allow up to 8 months for the power set to appear in the game. Price: 750,000 Paragon Points or Clown Summoning Power Set Short Description: Grants you access to the Clown Summoning Mastermind Set. Clown Summoning: With the Clown Summoning Power Set for Masterminds, you will be able to command and control your own circus of clowns. The minion pets are three traditional happy clowns, with squirting flower ranged attacks and balloon-sword melee attacks. The lieutenant pets are of the sad clown variety, and finally the boss clown is a vicious mime with a very powerful self-containment attack that puts himself inside of an invisible, shrinking box. Clowns arrive on the battlefield via a single tiny car that they all pile out of.

While we can't get into specific details quite yet, folks may want to check back next week. If you are in the loop or have some info related to the announcement, let's try and keep it under wraps. No single detail will spoil anything, but it's just a few days until the announcement. Issue 26, Page 5 (Raising the Bar) [ THE FIRST ANNUAL BRAWLIN 4 BILLIONS PVP EVENT ] I guess I meant AE farming adjustment [ ] [ ] Soon™©℠®

Anyway we could run some of the seasonal events as folks are looking at stay at home orders for the next ___ weeks? Maybe there is something appropriate Homecoming wide. I'd be in favor of the randomized zone events or Halloween in Spring.

Easter egg badges, should we add some?
-
AFK farming should result in diminishing returns. I don't get to play at work =(

The current badge system is for the most part, excellent. Most of the badges can be earned naturally through regular game play. I especially like the exploration, history, GM defeat and zone event badges. These encourage us to experience much of the game that could easily be missed. Suggestion = 'Badges Earned Badges' could earn escalating Reward Merits. (something like 200 badges could = enough merits to get a purple recipe) @Ukase if someone had all the badges except the debt badges, that would be amazing and better than all the badges in my opinion. @siolfir@macskull fire, just rest in some fire for the take damage badges? no afk, typically shooting to earn it by level 31 or 32 (force of habit).

@Shock Another resource from the original city of website that helped make some sense of incarnates. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/16685-incarnates-mess/ This makes it look like we do the task we get the reward. Component Name Description Obtained By Upgrades Into Hero 1 DNA Sample Hero 1's DNA contains a small fraction of his power as modified by the Rikti. Lady Grey Task Force Vanguard DNA Metamatrix Ancient Nictus Fragment The sands of Cimerora have coughed up this gem of Nictus power. Imperious Task Force Incarnate Infused Nictus Essence of the Incarnate A shred of power from a living Incarnate. Statesman Task Force or Recluse Strike Force Drop of the Well Dimensional Keystone This stone is imbued with the cosmic resonance of a world beyond Primal Earth. Reichsman Task Force or Reichsman Strike Force Infinite Tessellation Gr'ai Matter This Rikti neural matter is useful to channel Alpha Incarnate abilities which affect the mind and soul. Purchased with 150 Vanguard Merits Penumbra of Rularuu The emanations from Rularuu's Willforges can channel Alpha Incarnate abilities which affect body and bone. Cathedral of Pain Incarnate Shard Faint impressions of Incarnate essence can be found almost everywhere. Rare drop from L50+ mobs, or players in PvP. Any; allows upgrades

Other players. Help other players out. It often costs much less than say a purple enhancement and returns more value.

As a /regen I won't say the ideas presented are great or terrible. I also wouldn't support them. Making one adjustment is often better received., and easier to discuss. @0th Power I like your idea but think it should proliferated more widely. Many longer activation powers should fire at the beginning or middle or closer to the beginning of the animation.

Why can't I leave my base's entrance portal?
Troo replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in Base Construction
It happens. The base builder is not super awesome. It is easy to accidentally have something in conflict with the portal. To fix it - move the portal to where it is clear of any possible conflicting items. Note: having done this to myself a number of times, and out of annoyance, I just don't put anything near the portal and try not to make any edits to the base portal room. -
I thought I would have something to add but.. nope, looks covered. Well done folks.

Focused Feedback: Dark Miasma (Release Candidates)
Troo replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I believe it may not be that simple. Some aspects of the powers impacted may use the AT modifiers while other aspects may not. Some aspects may already be correct and remain unchanged. A little clarity from those making the changes would help eliminate guessing. There are players that have more knowledge than others and who may well understand the changes. BUT, it should be crystal clear for all players. (especially when it comes to negatively impacting powers) -
Focused Feedback: Dark Miasma (Release Candidates)
Troo replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Still no specifics on what the actual impacts are from the HC team. I was hoping there would be a bit more in this thread. Very general / High level information = Guessing at specifics "The following powers were using Defender modifiers, they have been fixed to use their own AT modifiers" = players left to guess -Regen, -DMG, -To-Hit, Team Heal, -SPD, -Jump, -Fly, -Res(All) and now ACC What is affected what are the changes? Example: Corruptor Old New -Regen -DMG -To-Hit Team Heal -SPD -Jump -Fly -Res(All) Self Heal n/a? -
I've wondered if using the AE tools, gifted character creators could assist limited dev staff with such tasks.

The Incarnate system is a convoluted hot mess especially for new incarnates. pre Incarnate and post Incarnate should remain separate. Incarnate Merit Vendor does exist but has limited usefulness in the current game. https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Incarnate_Merit_Vendor A better explanation may be:

https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Scrapper
-
"The Scrapper is a fierce melee combatant. In hand to hand, no other hero can compare. But the Scrapper is not as resilient as the Tanker, and might find himself in a little trouble if he heedlessly wades into combat. The Scrapper's aptitude for melee is countered by a total lack of long distance attacks. Scrappers possess Critical strike capability. Their melee attacks have a chance to sometimes do double damage." Close combat - total lack of long distance attacks Not as resilient as the most resilient ATs Can get in over their head Damage, lots of damage Compared to Scrappers: Stalker more single target oriented burst damage. (also stealthy) Brutes work up to damage and must maintain to sustain their increased damage. Remembering: endgame blurs the differences.
