  1. Congrats @Unclemarty
  2. Grant Cover You are able to use your shield to defend nearby allies. Any teammates who remain nearby gain a bonus to their defense. (NOTE: The defense bonus from this power is only applied to nearby team mates, but not yourself.) Additionally, while this power is active, the user and his team mates will gain some resistance to defense and recharge rate debuffs.
  3. Nice! I recently went asian-ish with a new demon Ayko
  4. Absolutely. There are primaries and secondaries that have great synergy and some pairings which can be awful especially if folks don't like an aspect of a powerset. Example: I don't like combo mechanics. I'd love to play some of the powersets themes we have, but I'd rather claw my eyes out than level a combo heavy one to 50.
  5. This is pretty spot on.
  6. Looks like you handily addressed the -Recharge debuffs. What made you pick Ice?
  7. Were you using Paragon Chat?
  8. Here's what I was using. Kind of a lazy build to test survive-ability (I should squeeze more damage in) with Dull Pain with Instant Healing
  9. Werner Rules on SOs.. shit no!
  10. Um.. Hi. I think I may have missed the post about your solo ITF. Would you mind refreshing my memory? A couple of us might gain some insight from that experience. I'm pretty sure if I can do it on a Brute, a Tank would likely be able to as well. It's a brave soul who trys on a Scrapper. How did Burnout do? Was it helpful? If it was I might look to squeeze it in. Rune of Protection was pretty valuable for me. I also went with Darkest Night (not something a Shield, EA, or SR would need to consider). I was very selective when engaging groups, big boss got the toggle while a surgeon or high priority target took my initial attack. I toyed with having mission specific builds but that hurt my head to consider.
  11. There is a tanker and scrapper
  12. This would never have occurred to me.
  13. Is this a good idea? With the target cap on Burn it seems like it would be a wash/waste. Maybe if you're at the damage cap all the time? (I typically only do 4 + 2 dam proc (1 purp, 1 non-smash/lethal))
  14. 75 posts a week.. I bet it feels like that, just like you described.
  15. Not just T9s. Take something like Hand Clap or Fault, good mitigation at lower levels but maybe not needed later on. Maybe not even needed once someone gets more familiar with the game. But can I remember early in my COX, Hand Clap was helpful to thin out incoming damage.
  16. Good points @ForeverLaxx. I've always looked at it a little different. I thought powers were available as we leveled, and then as we became stronger we might not need them anymore and could respec. This is how I've looked at some of the T9s and other powers, they just aren't needed later when we get more refined builds. Just thought I'd an alternate perspective.
  17. Ah, I'm still catching up. The thread takes a nose dive? nevermind..
  18. Trap door is short enough that we could do this. Pick our favorite primary and then start pairing. Folks can provide tips on pairings we may not be awesome at. I'd do Brutes or Stalkers.
  19. In some ways this is spot on. Hitting the button 12 times gave me a chuckle. Been there. Once I got a better feel for regen it became about choices and consequences. If I go for the long Energy Transfer right now, I might not get to use Dull Pain later.. better use it now. I have always enjoyed that aspect. Your idea of overlapping is interesting.. All power sets would want that.
  20. @Solarverse If a question is posed to players who currently play Regeneration it might get one response vs posing a question to folks who don't play it as much or want it to be like another set. I love that Regeneration is reactive vs set it & forget it. I enjoy recognizing what's happening and deciding what to do about it. THIS IS THE BEST THING ABOUT IT and this has NOTHING to do with soft capping, DPS, or some other meta. Suggestions that propose reworking it into toggles or auto powers might be non-starters. We have sets like that, don't we? Suggestions that propose small adjustments or filling an outsized vulnerability could be less controversial and welcome. The game provides avenues to overcome many challenges a Regen might face. -recharge debuffs can be challenging. I agree with @Bill Z Bubba that some set has to be at the bottom of a list. Is it Regeneration, not in my opinion, but opinions vary.. I also agree with @Shred Monkey that +100% base max HP and a larger HP pool could = big benefits for regen powers. Regen Tank = compelling
  21. Fire Control / Illusion Control "look! I'm a mastermind with out all the fuss." (did this one get named a bunch already?) Icy Assault / Fiery Assault (Ooo I like this game) Gravity Control / Energy Aura (stalker version)
