Agreed, it would be shocking if you could actually go to more than just the next floor on an Elevator, then go searching for another Elevator to get to the next one.

They place Paragon City in Rhode Island but it always reminds me more of a Much smaller City, it's dimensions are comparable to where I live which has a population of about 55, 000, Add the Skyscrapers and you could argue the population could be 250,000, but not in the 4,000,000 Range. Some parts of the city outright look like they are from different regions, Brickstown looks Mid-Western, Founders looks like Venice, Italy and Croatoa looks like Maine. Was just shooting for a subject that would be entertaining and not devolve into Heated bickering about PVP, Page 6, Streaming, NCSoft or Nerfing Regen.

Live in North Central Ohio, We have lots of Wendy's, Arby's, McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Little Caesar's, Skyline Chili, Long John Silver's, KFC, and many more with Drive Thrus, plus a lot with a designated Curbside Delivery Door and Parking including Olive Garden, Applebee's, Cheddars, Logan's and Texas Roadhouse. We still have an actual Drive In Theater here with a Consession Stand. We're a lot less Sophisticated here.

I was thinking more like with a Drive thru and an order board, maybe a smiling Clown head takes your order. Thought she was just a Dwarf or something, but point taken.

Strange Paragon City Observations: Part 1 No children in an entire City except one Creepy Looking Time entity, who on April 1st followed me around all day. It was a grim day of Dead babies outside mission doors, awful. Everyone in the entire city appears to be right handed. ( mentioned In honor of National Left Handed Day which is today, hey wait a second.....) There are tons of Freeways with almost no traffic, I can never recall even seeing a car on the middle layer of Skyway's Elevated Freeway. There are no Car Dealers, no Porn Shops, no Fast Food Restaurants. ( How can they survive? ) There has to be a Walmart, or is this a "Fantasy" City. No normal wildlife in wooded areas except Birds, Bees and occasional Mastermind's Pets. Bus Stops with waiting areas all over the Place but no Buses. ( the wait may be longer than you think ) A Volcano off the Rhode Island Coast. A Volcano. Granted it's not active, or is it? A Volcano, huh. It never Rains but everything stays green. ( and it snows in winter with no accumulation ) No One ever mows the grass, No One is ever seen painting anything, No One ever appears to need to repair their car. ( I'm not complaining, I want this. ) No Mall, just shops, although I saw somewhere that the White Plains Mall and Convention Center is at 2949.6 -2 -5937.6, I'll have to go check that out. No One rides Bikes, they just walk everywhere, and right into you, push you right out of their way, how rude. No Single family homes anywhere except a few abandoned shacks and a self purported House of Horrors, a whole City of Skyscrapers and Town Houses, really? All for now, you may commence heated arguments for and against __________________ and ___________________ when ready. Thank you for your patience.

Switch "Echo" zones to free for all zones
Marine X replied to Glacier Peak's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Copy and Paste of my Idea in another Post from Monday: Perhaps there is an as yet unmentioned opportunity here. What If you used the PVP Exemplar mechanic, everyone to a certain level and used it somewhere that hardly gets used, say the ECHO Zones. They could each get locked to set range like the PVP Zones but be PVE. It would certainly liven up that Badge hunt in Echo: Faultline if those CoT at the bottom of that trench could actually hurt you. we could consider them Flashback Zones since they are tied to Ouroboros, just a thought. Echo: Atlas Park - 1 - 6 Hellions / Vahz / Clockwork Echo Galaxy City - 1 - 6 Hellions / Vahz / Clockwork ( Maybe rework to spawn 6-14 Outcasts / Trolls / Igneous / Skulls / Lost Echo: Faultline - 14-19 Vahz / CoT / Clockwork Echo: Dark Astoria - 21 - 29 Banished Pantheon / Circle of Thorns / Tsoo Echo: Rikti Crash Site - 40 - 50 Rikti / Crey / Devouring Earth / Nemesis Snipers Edited Monday at 02:37 PM by Marine X -
I mentioned in another thread that you may be able to export Character files from Homecoming, and load them into Titan Icon, then Capture them from there. Has anyone tried this? If the current version doesn't work, I may still have an older one on my old PC ( Icon ). It would be from several years before Homecoming, and before Paragon Chat even came out.

Have you attempted to Copy then load Character files into Titan Icon and capture from there? As far as I know Homecomings changes have not been applied there and it may work as the old client did, without need for changes to Homecoming.

Name Assistance Brigade (The N.A.B.bers)
Marine X replied to FoulVileTerror's topic in General Discussion
I usually start from the concept end then find a name, so it can get painful some times. An example: Crimson Cage - Krym'sun the last Kheldian Born to the race, and injured in their escape, is unable to Join with a Human & is now instead contained in the K.A.G.E. Kheldian Advanced Genetic Enclosure, an interctive, AI inhabited Armor to allow Krym'sun to survive. But without a Host he often struggles to interact with humanity. I like linking their Name to their Hero Name: Hawkstar - Captain Hocking Stahr, fire/inv Sentinal Livingston - John Livingston Jr, stone/fire Tank Stygian Swordsman - Clay Moore, broadsword/dark Tank ( thinking of just renaming him Clay Moore, I think most people would get it. -
Name Assistance Brigade (The N.A.B.bers)

I had a Fire / Kinetic Controller on Live named Combuster boy did I ever gets some looks, and it never crossed my mind till somebody pointed it out. -
Also have them verify they are not hidden, I had it happen by accident once and had no idea how. type /hide for options type /unhide_all to clear
-
Also be sure to look carefully at the Names, a lot of people are substituting lower case " L "s for " I "s and such due to the Issue of getting a Character Named something they like, It can play Havoc with team invites and tells if they are not there to click on.

For some of this it could be done with the base editor and a passcode. It would be interesting to be able to have the El Super Mexicanos Dining room a Passcode away. The RPers would have a field day with a Restaurant Code list. After that if the Devs could find a way to have the Actual Restaurant door trigger the base code.....perfection.

Depending on your video cards capability, you should look at trying out some of the " Experimental Graphics " settings. There is a Cell Shader and some other setting that will make CoH look more like CO. Not really my thing because it removes some of the costume details in the process, but you may like it. I have played both, and I felt like you did starting out in CoH when I played CO. Just could not get used to all the open world missions and often could not decide how to build a Characters Powers without an Archetype guiding me. I don't think I was ever on a team, and gave up at about 25. I went back a few times, but just couldn't find my groove there. Don't be afraid to indulge some Alt-Itis, it is normal when you can have SO many Characters per Shard. Be sure to Post which Shard or Shards you play on, teaming here is a lot of fun, and it's pretty easy to find one, if you want. I play on Reunion and Everlasting Mostly, early mornings weekdays and a little more on weekends. Old Days on Virtue.

My Band "Tone-X" ( Named after a knob on Vox Westminster or Buckingham Amps that did absolutely Nothing ), umm, 29 Years ago, ahem, doing one of our 50+ original songs for the 1991 Rehab Telethon, we were the only Band live performance, everyone else Lip Synced, except a choir. I'm the drummer with the Flu, we did it in one take. It's weird to see myself with Hair, have been shaving my head since not long after this, We were formed in 1986, and retired in 2001, with Reunion shows in 2005 and 2015.

Comment - "When I launch the game, I only see a black screen." Response -"Sounds like you've swapped to a resolution your monitor doesn't support." Found this on a different games support site, Do you recall the resolution that you had the game set to? Is it too legacy to be supported by a brand new Machine, perhaps? If you have a friend with a Win7 PC that would let you load it on their PC, you could then view and adjust the settings if this is the case

The only other thing I can recall that causes a Black Screen is if openGL is out of date but that seems unlikely. Have you tried turning off Dual Screens?, then load it and then if it launches, re-enable, it. That would at least eliminate that being the source of the issue. I seem to remember being told that dual displays took some finesse back in the day, maybe it still does.

You may be at the point where there are not drivers available for the internal graphics, if it was a desktop I would say shop for a used video card that has drivers to match your operating system, but most Laptops are not upgradeable. I looked in all the driver dungeons I know of and had no luck.

Did you install the ,net Framework 3.5? It will not run without it. A description of where it fails would also be helpful.
