The launcher was working last night...now it's not. WTH?
Marine X replied to AspieAnarchy's topic in Help & Support
On your Hard drive, locate game folder. You can find it's location by right clicking on desktop shortcut, target field is it's location. Go there and delete the folder ( should be C:Games ). Go back to hard drive and create a folder called Games, download the Launcher and install it there. This pic shows where to look. -
True, my thought was just to place him somewhere in Echo: AP, maybe in City Hall, under the Atlas Statue reading a Newspaper, sitting on a park bench eating a Donut, just somewhere so that he is part of that moment in time.
-
I think this would be the easiest and most non-intrusive way to bring him back. All the Echo Zones are outside space and time, and locked at a point in History, in this case a point where he was very much still alive. It would be a fitting tribute to the character and not upend the lore.

To find Launcher, right click on desk top Shortcut, select Properties. Target field will show install location. It may be easier to use the add/remove programs tool in Control Panel to do the Uninstall. -
I would have thought December Donations would have opened by now.

If you have Windows Restore active, with viable restore points before the issue began, I would try running Restore to one of those restore points. If that doesn't do it I would just do a fresh install to a new folder on your hard drive, making sure it is NOT in program files or any other Windows controlled folder, such as creating a Games folder directly on your 😄 drive. Cross your fingers... -
Trying to log in to my account and I need to make a new one.
Marine X replied to Alaskan94's topic in Help & Support
They still will need to have more info in order to help you, some account details in the Support Ticket will help them confirm it is your account, and then go from there. -

I would start a support ticket. Include the Global Handle, email you used to create the account and any character names you recall, they should be able to sort it out. -
My Internet Provider Tech Guy Needs Your Help
Marine X replied to BigGotter's topic in Help & Support
This kind of problem is becoming more and more common. Back in the day the ISPs were all phone companies, Public Utilities, governed by the Public Utilities Commission. If you had an ongoing issue, you could report it to the PUC and the ISP would be forced to resolve the issue or be fined till they did. Now we have all the Cable and Fiber based ISPs as the majority of the market share and they are considered Entertainment Providers, not Public Utilities and are not answerable to the PUC or anyone in particular. This will probably be addressed eventually but has not, at least where I am, so they don't tend to take service issues as seriously as they should. -
Can you create, save, and load custom UIs for different screen sizes?
Marine X replied to Curveball's topic in Help & Support
At work so didn't have a lot of time but the only thing I found was this... Command: /uiscale + number for scale ( I think you may be able to 1.5 etc, but forgot to test ) /uiscale 0 ( smallest UI ) /uiscale 8 ( largest UI ) -

Lost merits and Inf in the mail after a layoff
Marine X replied to JulioThom33's topic in Help & Support
All you can do is file a support ticket and see what they can do. Include all relevant information in the ticket including the amount of Influence and the email you sent it to. -
Just a side note, noticed when I played on a different PC from normal that the Fog was back on all my Characters for all zones. The Fog data must be stored Client Side, so on a different PC install it will need to be cleared or revealed again.

Is the Forum Account you are posting from ( Juzernault ) the one associated with your Game Account? If it is, go to the top of this page, Hover over Game Account, then click on Game Account from the list. It will show you your Game Account user name and allow you to reset the Game Password. Use that User Name and Password to log into the game. This Log In is separate from your Forum Account. If it is not, start a Support Ticket, it helps to include the Email Address associated with the Account, but supply as Much info as you can, including your Global Handle if you remember it. A Game Master should be able to help you from there.

As you said you were playing a Stalker, were you Hidden or using Stealth? That can affect NPCs ability to see or follow you. Just a thought.

Are you using your Forum User Name and Password or your Game Account User Name and Password? If you go to " Game Account " at the top of this page you can view your Game User Name and can Reset the Password. Be sure to make sure your Caps Lock is off as the Password is Case Sensitive.

The Long Green spikes typically mean Low Bandwidth. You may try rebooting your Modem and router and see if that helps, also if on WiFi try either moving to a slightly different location in relation to the WiFi access ( being right next to the WiFi is actually not ideal ), or if possible, go to a wired connection, then see what /Netgraph shows. Anything electrical between you and the WiFi can cause disruptions so consider that when moving.
-
Most Lag is caused by something Client side, you can start by running Netgraph to see is there are any Network issues with your connection. /netgraph number Allows the user to turn on and off a network monitoring graph. This graph will overlay on top of any other windows, and will always be in the lower right hand corner. 0 - Off 1 - Display a small netgraph 2 - Display a large netgraph. /netgraph by itself will return the current net_graph setting. Netgraph shows a visual representation of TCP/IP network data flow called "packets". A network packet is segment of a larger message after it has been divided into parts or units of data. Each packet is then sent across a network of communication lines and recombined on the other end. Interpreting the netgraph: Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications

Not complaining or trying to tell anyone how to play, just making a suggestion that might be welcomed by some, without affecting anyone else, unless of course ToTing in the Echo Zones is your go to. Frankly, this already exists because all the Echo Zones except the Rikti Crash Site are below 25 ( not sure how DA works at 21-29 ), so no fully powered EBs anyway.

Costume/Material option - goo/translucent
Marine X replied to Greycat's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Nice Find on the Pic, although it just occurred to me that what @Greycatis looking for is basically already in game, Shivans, so just a matter of making that look part of the Available costumes in the creator, with a few variants. -
Costume/Material option - goo/translucent
Marine X replied to Greycat's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I had a Peacebringer on Virtue that had a Transparent Torso. It was the result of an old costume bug involving selecting Flack Jacket and then hitting the back button in the sub menu. They fixed the bug eventually, but since I never went to ICON or chose another costume he stayed that way to level 50 and then sunset. He was just a Helmet, 2 Oversized Armoured Gloves and an Armoured lower body, Crimson Cage was his name, and he was very cool looking. ( Crimson was the kheldian ( KryM'san ) and Cage ( KAGE ) was the armour - Kheldian Augmented Genetic Enclosure ). So, if the system can accidently do close to what you suggest, I bet it can be done. -
Have seen quite a few posts and comments about some players being outmatched be the ToT Elite Bosses. The Halloween Events have always been my favorites and I started wondering if there might be an way to accomodate everyone's desired experience. I wonder if it is possible to run a Legacy version of the Trick or Treat in the Echo Zones without the Elite Bosses. This would allow those who wish to work towards the Costume Badges, Defeat Badges etc. to do so without impacting the Main event. It would provide a alternative to those that struggle with ToT as it is now and allow them to participate. Not sure it's even possible but these Zones see very little traffic and are supposed to be a Window to the Past which would fit with the differences in the Event.

Zombie Apocalypse - zombies not spawning
Marine X replied to legendaryjman's topic in General Discussion
According to The Wiki, Zombies use the Rikti Invasion Mechanics, which are as follows: Rikti Invasion Mechanics Developer The Dark Watcher on specifics of a Rikti World Invasion: 1 "During the second phase of the invasion, the Rikti check to see if more of their Invaders are required every 6 seconds. The Rikti find out how many Invaders are currently on the ground. If that number is less than 100 and less than 3 times the number of players in the zone, the drop ships look for likely places to teleport more Invaders. To find likely targets for the Invaders, the Rikti pick a hero or villain at random from all those in the zone. If that person is not moving faster than a sprint, at more than 20% health, are not under cover, within 100ft of the ground and are not within 300ft of the hospital, this person is a good target. The invaders will pick up to 5 unique player targets in each search period. When a good target has been located, the Rikti count the number of their Invaders within 30ft of the target and assign a threat rating to each Invader. Minions Rikti are worth 0.33 point, Lieutenants are worth 0.75 points, Bosses are worth 1.5 points and Heavies are worth 3 points. The threat ratings of all the Rikti Invaders within 30ft of the target are added together to get the current Invader Threat in the area for this target. Then they count the number of players within 30ft of the target and this number is used as the current Human Threat in the area for this target. If the Rikti Threat is less than the Human Threat, Rikti Invader reinforcements are sent to the area around the target. If the Human Threat is greater than 6 times the Invader Threat and there are already some Invaders in the area, the Rikti will send in Heavy Assault suits. They will send one suit if the Invader Threat is less than 1 suit, otherwise, they will send 2 suits. If they did not send Heavies, they will check to see if the Human Threat is greater than 4 times the Invader Threat. In this case, they will send an amount equal to the difference between the Human Threat and the Invader Threat divided by two up to a max of 4 units. These units may be Chief Soldiers, Chief Mesmerists, Rikti Priests, Rikti Monkeys, Drones, Conscripts, Infantry, Guardians, Headman Gunman or Chief Mentalists. If they still have not sent troops, they will send an amount equal to the difference between the Human Threat and the Invader Threat up to a max of 8 units. These units may be Rikti Monkeys, Drones, Infantry, Conscripts, Guardians, Headman Gunman or Chief Mentalists. "
