  1. Uh, maybe? Again, it's been forever, and I haven't played this on Homecoming yet, but my recollection is that the splash was small. You were unlikely to see a lot of mileage from it unless guys were jammed together, Night-At-The-Opera-level. This Mastermind is probably second guy on-deck as far as old characters I plan to recreate, just after my Sonic^2 Defender.
  2. Hey, I can't go into that much detail on your questions right now, because as I said, I haven't actually played this character since 2012. But here's what I remember. What I think of as the "big three" debuffs (Envenom, Weaken, Neurotoxic Breath), you should definitely notice them. You ever want to see a good time, hit one of those Freakshow you've been fighting with Envenom, then watch as his Dull Pain only gives him like, 5 HP. :) I liked to start with Weaken, targeting the boss/most threatening guy in the enemy spawn, so that their counter-attack against me was cut off at the knees. After that, maybe go Neurotoxic while the enemy is still relatively gathered up. Alkaloid, I remember being a little "ehh" as a heal, but if you want to heal something besides one of your robots it's the only game in town. The rest of it, I'm too far out of practice to comment on, sorry.
  3. Hey, Thanks for doing this. Little question for you. One of the other users here (@khy, I think?) did an unofficial update to you previous version that made it incompatible with original Mids files. I assume those files will in turn not be compatible with this 2.22 version, right? I haven't looked so I don't know if this has been done, but can you make sure the exports say the proper version in the text they put up at the top? So far IIRC they all still say they're from 1.9-whatever that was the last version of the Paragon days. Thanks again, I'll download tonight! Generator
  4. Here's what I've got. I was clearly mid-process at the time of the shutdown. :) Note this is out of Mids, not Pine. As I suspected, I totally ditched the top two powers from Poison. 5. Sure, that makes sense. But I'm a heck of a lot more likely to mail the things bought with the merits than I am to send the merits themselves. It's just one of those changes where, fine, they did it, but I don't get the point behind it.
  6. Maybe I'm just not far enough outside the box here, but why would I need to transfer merits to an alt in the first place?
  7. I'm actually about 95 percent likely to switch to Savage/Ice, nor because of anything said here, but I have an old character concept that used to just exist as part of another character's backstory, but would work perfectly as S/I.
  8. By which I assume you mean it has to all be a single menu file, right?
  9. In the homecoming environment, Hero and villain merits are no longer really a thing. All alignment missions reward 40 merits a pop.
  10. Hey, So back on Live, I had a Bane Spider who, in headcanon, was the "hidden nemesis" of my buddy's Fire/Mace tank. Said Mace is powered by a Rikti artifact, and my character was approached by Kelly Uqua, who pulled some strings and got my character into Project: Destiny in return for future considerations, in the form of "one day you will jack Space Mace and get me that mace." Not that either of us PVPs ever, but as a thought exercise, if you had to fight a Fire/Mace tanker, would you rather do it as a Crab, or a Bane? Just wondering. Later, Generator
  11. It's under Contacts...and unless you turned it off in the options (if that is such an option) you definitely have some IIRC, the Contacts window has 4 tabs, "Active", "Inactive", "Detective/Broker" (depending on blue/red), and the fourth, "Tips", shows up when you hit 20. As @justicebeliever said, if you're level 50, you've had some tips waiting for a while now.
  12. Once you hit 20, defeated foes will drop Tips, little clues to disposable/repeatable missions that can be responded to one of two ways. For a Hero, one option will be the "Hero" option, the other will be the darker "Vigilante" option. Choose whichever one you prefer, and the mission will be set. COmplete the mission, and you're 1/10 on the way to an "Alignment Mission," a chance to either change or reinforce your commitment to your current alignment. (Alignment Missions pay 40 RMs so they can be worth doing sometimes in lieu of Radios/Newspapers.)
  13. If you have any Tips active, lots of times those missions spawn in the zone in which you activate them, so you don't have to get the folks over to PI. Just a thought.
  14. IIRC from live, I initially set up my Robots guy to have separate commands for Minions, and the Lts, and the AssaultBot, and a fourth command set for All Robots, then found that in 99% of situations I was just using the "All Robots" set of commands, so I left those as the commands I had bound and ditched the group-specific ones.
  15. I had a Robots/Poison back on Live. I've been avoiding recreating him, only because I wanted to get my feet under me before I tried a Mastermind. I remember those debuffs being pretty insane, made me feel like quite the Boss-killer. IIRC, looking at the set, I tended to go Weaken, Envenom, Neurotoxic Breath, and let the Robots blow the crap out of the mobs once they had the audacity to disapprove of my chemical warfare. I may be remembering older versions of the powers, but I do not remember getting a lot of mileage out of the top two powers. (The T9, probably I'd use on a set where one of the guys can be more easily encouraged to go into melee.) If I can dig out my Mids build tonight, I'll try and remember to post it.
  16. "Time to enhance" almost makes it sound like you currently have nothing slotted, not common IOs, or SOs, or anything. Can you just give us a quick rundown of your current situation?
  17. Last night my Elec^2 Brute unlocked Doc Buzzsaw as a contact, and my friends and I faced off against the S00p3rFr34k. Oh, how I've missed this!
  18. Hey, So I created my first mnu file of the new era last night, putting together the canned speech my mad scientist has about the wonders of PHLOGISTON. Now that I've handled the important stuff, I find myself thinking about putting this stuff to practical use. The menu file I created, right now it's got a single menu inside it, and when Doctor Muspelheim hits the macro key I made, it activates that. But I can put other menus in that same file, right? So I can make a second menu, "InvToggles", and a third, "ElecArmToggles", that go right after that first one. Now, Doc M's macro will only open that menu, but then I can give OhmWrecker a macro that pops the ElecArmToggles, letting me turn on his four Electric Armor toggles from one key (not all at once, mind you). It'll work like this, right? Follow up question: why do I only ever think of this stuff while I'm driving to work? :) Later on, Generator
  19. Maybe his goal was a more subtle Nemesis style plot...To have the whole community pause, come together, and realize that truly we share more in common then separates us... Nah...just a jerk signing off... Could go either way, really. That's why Maxwell Christopher doesn't sleep at night.
  20. OP has been fairly thoroughly taken down by now, but I have to say, his commitment to being tonight's Angry Misinformed A-hole is almost impressive. Almost.
  21. Have an Inf. That's a friggin' healthy attitude there.
  22. Hey, So, shamed into action by a thread earlier today, I'm creating a bind file for all the stuff I do every time I create a new character. One of the things I do is change alttray 1-0 to be activated by numpad 1-0. Can anyone provide the syntax for doing that via slash commands? Up to now I've just set those manually from the options menu. Also I guess, same question for the second alt tray? Thanks, Generator
  23. (said any time I run into a Lost Aberrant Rector boss) "Rector? Damn near killed her!"
  24. Point made. To be sure, I didn't think this was that sort of post, but as someone with an Invuln/SS near and dear to my heart it got me thinking.
