That is a homecoming change, and yes, that's a big help.

One of the things that always drove me NUTS on my old Rad^2 Corr was the toggles, how many you had and how you had to reapply so many of them all the time. As much as I always liked Choking Cloud, it was a pain to use. I think the transition to a Click power for the */Atomic version is a plus. I'm still a few levels away on my own Rad/Atomic (he's 30 as I type this) but I'm looking forward to trying out this power.

Sunsette, Thanks so much for your feedback. Let me try and run the list, see if I can address/acknowledge a few points. - Slot to Health for Panacea: sounds good, I'll check it out. - Charged Bolts, I hadn't thought about that. A swap to the A/D/E/R piece sounds good, or if I need to grab a slot for other purposes I may leave that as Devastation 4-pc (unless I move Opportunity Strikes here, which I might). - Ball Lightning: good point on the sets, I'll definitely look at it for v2. (Side note: when you 5-pc Posi's, which piece do you skip? I vacillate between the proc and the Dmg/Range.) - Charged Shield: my intent had been to grab up the set bonuses in Numina's. End isn't really an issue, I use enough Power Sink to do right by my blue bar, so I don't think I need to put any EndMod pieces in here (I don't think I was even aware it can take EndMod enhancers). - On Energize, again, I was going for the set bonuses. I'll see how I feel about your approach, but if I don't do that, I might see if I can take DW up to 5 pieces for the +Recharge. - Gladiator's +3% I will find a place to stick that in. Haven't yet got my brain wrapped around the idea that PVP IOs are attainable. - For Aim, again, I was going for the +Dmg set bonus. It's not huge but every little bit helps. - Slotting Def in CJ, Stealth. Really? the base values always seemed a little too small to bother. Hell half the time I don't even run stealth in combat. Again, I'll take another look. - If you mean the standard FltSpd IOs in my passives (Swift and Lightning Reflexes), those are certainly replaceable, I hadn't actually looked at the flight speed tab in Pine's before you mentioned this. - Short Circuit: I will definitely look here if I need to cannibalize a few slots. Thanks so much for the feedback. It'll go a long way towards a v2 of this build. Much appreciated. Generator

For me what happens is, by that high 20s/low 30s range, i feel like I've usually got a pretty clear picture of how the character is going to play out. The stuff after that point (the end of the secondary and the Epics) either don't change things much, or feel too far away to bother with (I'm not big on farming/PL). End result, not a ton of guys past that point. I can live with this. :)

I skipped on Ann Ionic's first pass of a build, mainly because I didn't see three open spots to go into the pool. I might revisit this decision later, though.

I have a Blaster of this flavor up to 28. The only thing that's prevented any further progress is unchecked altitis. :) It's fun, definitely worth the time.

Hey folks, So my first Sentinel is level 39 now, and I think it's time to start actually planning out a set-based build. The first result is below. I could use any constructive feedback anyone's got to give. I'm certainly amenable to changing out sets used and such if that will yield a better result, but I'd really like to keep the powers I'm using as they are (number of slots each one gets, again, I'm fine with some changes). Thanks! Later on, Generator Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 2.22 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! It was like a one time/day thing I believe when the related server was down. The thread it was posted in also mentioned to resume using the original. I only saw indirect references to the second manifest, so I missed getting the full picture at the time. But thanks for the background.
-
Ah, okay. I had not been aware that the second manifest was a temporary affair. Now I know, and the rest is all red and blue lasers. Thanks!
-
Just checking, does anyone know if one or the other is more accurate or "better" in some manner? Thanks, Generator

All the recent talk of T9s and crashes made me reread that part of the guide. Dark Armor and Fiery Aura are listed as having "soft crashes" for their T9s. For other versions of those sets, the Tier 9 is the rez power. Did something change in their conversion to this Archetype? Thanks to everyone who's posting, as I'm learning something from the conversation. Generator

Help with 1st Sentinel - The Atomic Bomb (Rad/Rad)
Generator replied to Killerhertz's topic in Sentinel
Tough to say, I'm away on vacation so no access to the game or Pine. Nothing looks egregiously wrong, I'll say that much. As far as a slot for Fly, I'd suggest instead a Flight speed IO, or if you want to get tricky, maybe a +Stealth IO from Freebird. -
By that criteria, I think one could also be pretty safe as an Outcast.

Help with 1st Sentinel - The Atomic Bomb (Rad/Rad)
Generator replied to Killerhertz's topic in Sentinel
Unless the Sentinel version changes, your status protection (Fallout Shelter?) protects from KB, you shouldn't need the Zephyr piece. -
I'm also playing Elec/Elec. OP, if memory serves, you posted in my initial thread about that combo, right? How's yours doing? Mine's up to level 33. I'm liking her a lot. I don't think she's going to replace my Elec/Elec Blaster, they're simply different from each other. I'm strongly considering another go-round of the Archetype at some point, if Ann Ionic finishes strong. Like Ann, it would probably be another mono-element theme build, either Ice, Fire, or Rad.

No sir, I'm talking about popmenu. It took me like a year in between when my buddy showed me this command, and when the lightbulb went off about how damned useful that is.
-
You can "thank" the DFB trial for that. :(
-
Back in the days of the Live game, I hd a popmenu for all of this stuff. Invoked it with a macroed button, and then I could select which ones I needed. I seem to recall the ones I had deemed as annoying enough to make the list were: -Sapper -Surgeon (the Cimeroran guys) -Quantum/Void/Cyst -Cairns -Quartz
-
If I can piggyback a second question in here, does anyone know if the story arcs for these zones different for blue/red characters?
-
I saw your change to Combat Jumping, and I think that encapsulates the situation very well. One more note, in your section about secondaries: Add Electric Armor to that list (unless the Sentinel version doesn't do it? I don't know I've only gotten Ann Ionic up to 31, so I don't have Power Surge yet). At least on other ATs, its T9, Power Surge, has a HP and End crash, but when it crashes, it releases a nice wide Electromagnetic Pulse, to help you survive the crash. On my Brute, what I do with that is slot it as a Hold (like, I'll go a full set of Lockdown, for instance) instead of as a Resist set. Thanks again this is a great job!
-
Not too sure, I have a KB to KD in my Bonfire. So I can't actually answer that question. And how does that work out? I know that changes the frequency of the Knockback/down pulse. Does it still happen often enough to be useful?
-
Hold on, does this mean that Fire Cages can make Bonfire (partially) usable?
-
I disagree, but I'm genuinely curious. Do you feel this way across archtypes as a general rule or do you feel this way for certain archtypes? I think it's relevant for any character that adds in Defense, but lacks Defense Debuff Resistance (DDR). Let's say this character with the +25% defense from his sets goes and fights Cimerorans. All those swords have -Def secondary effects on them. Each hit strips some away, and it's not long before you've got no Defense left. At least, that's what I'd take from this.
-
This is an outstanding piece of work. Great job.
