Psionic Melee Animation Proposal

psim2.mp4 Ok so i replaced 4 animations to make the set feel more fluid. The hardest part of animation replacing is getting the cast times correct. If the cast times are longer than the original there will invariably be issues with the rotation and if the cast time are short the next move in the rotation becomes an invisible attack. I replaced Psi blade with a power from the claws powerset named Focus (Actual animation name is claw_low) I replaced TK blow with the Normal boxing attack from the power pool (Actual animation name is Recluse_Gutpunch) I replaced Psi blade sweep with Savage melee vicious slash (Actual animation name is vicious_slash) I replaced Greater Psi Blade with Super Str's knockout blow (Actual animation name is windup_upcut) I chose claw low because i wanted to keep the same type of slash as the original but gain some movement below the waist. The same reasons apply for TK blow I changed psi sweep to vicious slash because i felt the asymmetrical movement is more natural Greater psi blade is tough because after lots of trial and error i realized that the psi blade is emitted from the knuckles this rules out all the weapons except claws and fists eventually i went with KB blow because the cast time is very very close to the original power. If anyone has got some better sounds please let me know -

i think thematically storms take time to build up and form. The devs have said that this is supposed to be a fun set, not a top tier set. I think it mostly succeeds. just a heads up in the storm secondary set most of the powers have a cast time of 2 seconds or longer. So the cast time is more or less in line with its counterpart. -

yup just cancel it if you don't want it. It literally takes 5 seconds to do, personally I cant stand the whale sound from bubbles. So I cancel them when I get them. The real issue here is, hold on a sec while i spin a yarn In ye olden day, buffers would have to buff each person individually it was very inefficient and kinda annoying tbh. Many buffs were later changed to be aoe type buff as a QOL for those who play support (we salute you). This is why drive by buffs are much more common than in the golden era. While not all buffs are attractive or palatable they are generally helpful.

Rad does seem to lack the oomph of over blast powers which is sad cause it has some of the best animations. Rad has lots of Dots so its more of a slow burn as opposed to a burst which probably isn't conducive to modern gameplay.

its not only metallic some costume pieces just don't have matching accessories. (shout out to all the insect parts except pincers cause they don't exist)

hey man after playing around for half a day with the animations ive discovered some stuff you might be interested in #1 all changes are client side so even if see cool animations others still see the same old jankyness #2 The Psiblade aura seems to be tied to the arm so even if you change the animation you keep the blade however you will lose other environmental effects. (i switched psiblade with hemmorage and i love it) #3 All the assassins strike animation seem to be encoded for stalkers in hide so they are long long long and unusable (at least from what i can tell) now all i need is better sounds and psionic melee will finally look as cool as it should be yata.mp4 -
may i also have this please?

Hey guys there's a lot of pages here so i apologize if this has been asked, addressed answered and or discussed already. I've noticed the new storm power effects are affected by other abilities. Will choosing the storm secondary also affect the effects of the storm assault powerset? -
Long ago in a galaxy far far away, there was once a way to widen the range of cones. but this ability was lost during the great nerfwars at the turn of the century. Now peace has returned to our valiant city while new spells & technologies have taken our abilities to even greater heights. With a single enchantment err enhancement you can gain global defense or global resistance or even global recharge and even the ever illusive global accuracy. Let us research a way to bring back the cone wideners. I hereby propose a new set. A range set. With a proc that widens said cones.

also to compensate: the "hidden" message at the top right corner of the screen (that stalkers get) so we can know when our invisibility is active. -
Hey folks. Just getting into the symph set and I'm confused by this power its T6 but costs 15% of your end and is a "cone" / "sleep" also it's tooltip says moderate damage while mids says actual damage is 10 pts? Am i missing something? or is this a skippable power?
