  1. I agree 100%. The concept is why I play CoH instead of other MMO's. The people are why I play at all.
  2. Maybe I'm not getting something...But prompts pop up a window on screen that requires you to interact with it - press OK, cancel, something. When you get a reward, that's not a prompt, but flashes through the reward chat channel in the Chat box. Prompts can be disabled in the Options menu, and the reward chat can be disabled by right clicking the Chat tab, and removing the rewards channel. Let me know what, if anything, I'm not getting and I'll try to help more...
  3. Wait, we are just talking in-game right? Because for the forums, I have lots of people on ignore.
  4. Love these with the electricity roaming across the costume! Well done!
  5. For some reason I have a mental image of a comic book hero using a hockey stick. Can't quite place it... Anyhow, +1 to this!
  6. Frankenslotted...Makes perfect sense. Thank you sir for being a proper gentleman and not assuming I'm an idiot and rather providing concrete examples. +1 Inf to you!
  7. I had to double check. But I've never placed anyone on ignore before. But I solo at least 50% of the time that I play, so I'm probably not the person that's going to run into a lot of idiots. If someone was intentionally being foul AND attacking me personally, I would ignore them, but not before escalating to a GM, which means I won't be hearing from that person again anyway. But we have such an awesome community that is just a hypothetical and not a reality
  8. Thanks for using math @Caulderoneto explain this differently (that's what I was asking for). This makes sense - Which set did you use for the L20 example? Because I don't see one that plays out the way you described here. Most of the ones I see fall around a total of 115% total enhancement value, which admittedly is still on par with the +3 SO's.
  9. Your original statement did not mention generic IO's my friend. Rather you suggested that IO's sets where better than SO's at lower levels. This is a case you have not made with any facts or figures (that's a fact). 78% improvement with 2 slots, is factually better than 48% with 3 slots. Sorry. That's a fact. Yes 48% is better than 38%, but since the value we arrive at is 78% not 38%, it's moot! SO's +3 are demonstrably better at lower levels. Case closed. And discussion too, I guess.
  10. It's very reasonable. They are volunteer Dev's who get to work on the things they want to work on. If they don't want to work on hasten, they don't need to give you, me, or anyone else justification. I'd personally argue that more content is needed in the game before any more power rework. But that's not a priority that is shared by the Dev's. If that really sticks in my craw, then it sucks to be me. To be clear - if the volunteer Dev's only want to work on the color of blue shading present in the game and build a big red ball to kick around in Steel Canyon and nothing else, that's their prerogative and if you really hate it, then your only option is to start your own server. Fortunately that's not the dev team we have...
  11. Nope and Nope. Each one is unique in powers and looks...Each one is their own concept...
  12. Well your response was larger than the original posters, so I guess I'd have to side with you on this....But he did have more words... Hmmmm
  13. Reasonable Case #1 for keeping hasten as it is - There are higher priorities with the Development team than tinkering around with something that essential works as is. Reasonable Case #2 for keeping hasten as it is - You'll piss off less of your account holders but not monkeying with something that works as-is, then you do by changing it poorly. I'm not opposed or in favor of either of your solutions, but I have an allergic reaction to hyperbole, so I came up with 2 reasonable cases for keeping as is. Please discuss, this isn't a vote to keep it the same, just pointing out there are pro's to not changing it.
  14. It's only the ones in Flower Knight's mission. You can't do the mission twice, so if you already did it, all that's left are the giant spawn of contaminated and they will always be level 1
  15. I'll use...da.da.da.da.da.dum....puppy power! 6 slotted for range...
  16. This. 100 times this (please don't actually write it 100 times). This is me, and one of the many reasons I love this game!
  17. Here's my concern. I don't want Badges sanitized down so that all players like them equally. That's going to remove the challenge and fun for me, and I suspect, most other players. Some Badges should be easy to get just by playing the game. But some badges should be difficult to get and force players out of their comfort zone. That's what makes the reward so special. If every badge is a brisk jog, they will lose their appeal to me. Badges shouldn't be impossible for a player to get, but they should stretch players into different arenas they don't like. I can't stand PvP, but my badger is going to have to step up to do it, and I'll enjoy the reward I get for suffering through PvP to get the badges. The same for Master of badges. I know the badges are optionally and I don't have to get them, and it doesn't make me mad or frustrated that I have to do things I don't like to do normally, but will do them for a reward. And who knows, maybe I'll like it more than I think.
  18. I think this should be largely left to educators and parents. I'm stuck with the mental habit formation I have, regardless of how it got there. I want badges to totally cater to my mental behavior and cause me joy. For me that means it's hard to do. I'd agree that an excessive defeat all badge isn't helpful to anyone, just a test of someone's willingness to go the distance, but so's the case with running a marathon. Make em hard. Make em tedious but doable. That's fine.
  19. That makes sense. But I still think there is a lot of space for defeat badges in the game, and wouldn't want them done away with. Definitely a few that are set too high for the X number of defeats, but still I see their value.
  20. Maybe you use Grinding differently than I have heard it used. Isn't it's definition essentially, leveling up through by missions and street sweeping? And if so, isn't that desired behavior?
  21. Amen to this. There is a group of KB haters out there who only want it gone, there is a group of KB lovers out there who want it protected and these two are never are never going to see eye to eye. Here's hoping someone can find a bridge between them, as this seems like the most divisive topic of the game.
  22. Age of Empires, Solitaire, and so many stupid iPhone games.
