  1. As Kheldians are conceptually my favorite addition to the game, they hold a special place in my heart. This post is probably better served in the suggestions/feedback section of the forums, but I'll add that if you are interested in discussing the state of Kheldians and would like to help test potential changes to them, I would strongly suggest joining the Gold Standard Testers discord group (https://discord.gg/DptUBzh).
  2. Perhaps change your mindset to "it's a glowing green portal to an alternate dimension in time and space, and shit is about to get real...." Seriously tough there's some really talented mission architects that have written some better story arcs than what the OG devs did with CoH. You get XP and drops from doing them, so it's not like there's no reward to play them.
  3. I have several high end poison toons. Poison as a controller works well with anything in melee. To that effect I had a blast pairing it with electric control. Lots of layering with debuffs between sapping envenom/weaken/venomous gas. It just works. It does require a modicum of defense and clarion radial (for mez protection and also power boost effect).
  4. I will second this. @Linea made some seriously tough missions that test even the toughest of builds (which I personally think helped inspire Advanced Difficulty TFs).
  5. I'll preface this with the fact I've not always agreed with the changes Homecoming has made over the years (I'm looking at you stealth exclusivity), so take this post as just my two cents... I would suggest joining the gold standard testers group if your worried about updates to the game. The more people willing to test proposed changes through the closed beta process the quicker the dev team can get results and help streamline the process. That said the dev team all have their regular jobs they all go to like the majority of us do which takes a substantial amount of time from them as they also have families and real lives that take priority. This game is a passion project that they've took on their shoulders to help the CoH community. Also the HC team is recruiting. If you have the talent or will to grab the ourosdev binary and start learning the game coding on your own,, or animations , or modeling for new costumes pieces, they have been pretty public in that they want help. To be honest I'm surprised that any server group has made changes to the game, especially those that are high quality. I have my own sandbox server and I'm in envy over the multitude of complex projects the that get released by HC, Rebirth, and even Thunderspy.
  6. How long though would a player take to realize they can be traded? Especially as they run around and see people in mini mode and ask how the hell they got their character so small? I think that someone actively playing will pick up what can and can't be traded within a reasonable timeframe. That said I don't think farming these and selling them is going to necessarily make someone rich, but it's another asset on the market to leverage.
  7. Yes there will be prismatic aethers getting unloaded onto the market. Also this will help players gain these aethers to unlock cosmetics for their characters. I think in any free market economy, we look at the concept of supply vs. demand. The cost of these fluctuates in my experience between 3-4 mil per aether typically. We don't know what kind of demand these will have by newer players. Realistically I don't think there will be too much heightened demand, but as the supply increases and the price drops, more players are likely to buy higher tier cosmetic rewards and this reset the available stock. I don't for see the proposed change causing a drastic effect on the price of prismatic aethers. That said I don't have a doctorate in economics either.

Well I'm not opposed to the idea from a conceptual standpoint, I recognize the large amount of work that goes into creating advanced difficulty TFs having had a few discussions with Cobalt Arachne as he was working on the Lady Grey TF. From a player perspective I'd be extremely interested in all the TF/SFs getting the advanced mode treatment and scale to lvl 50 for the sub 50 TFs. However I realize that is a far fetched request as the amount of time that would go into it would likely take a couple years to really implement. To do generalized content and missions would likely take substantially longer.
  9. Mind control has Telekinesis which is currently in the open beta right now to change its functionality significantly. I'd recommend trying it out on the test server to see if you like it.

  12. Combatives 1 and 2 were great programs. We had a blast going back to the battery and teaching everyone combatives for PT.
  13. On that note, if we spawn a bunch of mines and then use Power Up, do the mines already set but not detonated inherit the Power Up if Power Up is in play when they detonate? Thanks btw for the set it's definitely interesting.
  14. I'm not necessarily for or against the idea, but I am interested in what your proposed TF enhancement sets would be? What are they themed about? What do they enhance? What schedule are they? Are their any procs? What are the proposed bonuses. Personally if I were to implement the idea, I'd expand off the existing dedicated IO sets named after NPC's in the game, and then give a randomized recipe from that NPC's IO set to each player. for 1st completion only? Example you complete Positron 1 and get a Positron's Blast TAOE IO recipe. The issue then though is the level range of the recipe, noting that Positron's Blast drops between lvl 20-50, but Positron 1 is lvl 8+ and Positron 2 is 11+. That all said i still don't know where I stand on this.
  15. I also really like Stone Melee with Shield. You get tremor and fault to cause that a ton of knockdown especially with shield charge as well.
  16. I'd say that it sounds like you want to play a dominator. That AT typically has a pet or pets that are usually summon and forget and pairs that with Crowd Control and Damage.
  17. That's not far off from @Snarky, except he's probably also residing in a mausoleum somewhere in Wisconsin, but had his hearse impounded because of the residents he's feeding on leave his BAC too high too drive.
  18. Considering that CoH confusion has worked how it has for 20 years... I'm going to have to not support this suggestion. That said I'm not opposed to some kinda chaos element being added to a potential new powerset down the road, but I'd leave existing confuse effects as is (with the exception of lowering mass confusion's recharge).

  21. I like to use 57969. Its a tunnel one with a click at the beginning to allow the mission to end at any point, and then you can casually move your farmer around to choke points so they pick up 3-4 groups at a time as mobs dies, then reposition. There's no patrols, so the lowbies are safe. No -defense attacks XP/Inf solo at +4/8 - XP numbers based on Everlasting at 1.5 xp rate Minion - 8,544 / 5,979 === adjusted base xp should be: 5,629.33 LT - 17,088 / 20,504 === adjusted base xp should be: 11,392 Boss - 37,733 / 62,887 === adjusted base xp should be: 25,155.33 EB - 76,179 / 129,966 === adjusted base xp should be: 50,786 Your results may vary obviously depending on the server you use due to the variation on xp rates.
  22. I'd suggest do it as a Traps/AR Defender. You'll need more therapy that way.
