Ah well I'll take your word for it as it's been probably 3-4 years since I played my /dark trollers. I guess I'll have to remember to respec my ill/dark.

On /dark I like to use energy. For power boost, as with high recharge you'll get decent usage out of it and power boosted fade/soul absorption is pretty good. You then have a res shield to pair with tough to make you more resilient for on the off chance that you do get hit.

Okay. Unless I hear otherwise I'll plan for like when we did the dark/stones, leveling on our own and bring them out for TT. Is there the start date for the project in mind?

Personally I don't mind which secondary, I just thought elec might have some synergy working together. Victory is fine with me, as Michi could probably use more toons on her server. Are we leveling these together on TT nights, or just bringing them along for TT? I'm subject to a 2 year old wanting to stay up sometimes so it can be a little challenging for me to make it all the time.

Will try and make next Tuesday on Everlasting depending on if I can get my toddler to bed on time. Themed secondaries, does sound interesting. What about Elec melee? Jacob's ladder has an expanded arc, there's stacking disorients, and lots of -end. Then also get lightning rod, which most people enjoy.

I would aim towards padding your resistances, building, capping slow resistance, then adding more recharge for things like energize and power sink. I also like soul mastery for the pairing given gloom has a decent dpa, and darkest night -damage pairs nicely with building for resistance. The -tohit help your team better, and it can be used to irritate mobs and act as a means of AOE pulling to you, or just lay it on the big bad ugly. -

@Carnifax I just made one of these the other day. I ended up going with Mace primarily to have an extra source of -res & -def to stack with the source of those I get in the power sets kit with IOs. I built around the scorp shield defense wise. I don't have a lot of playtime with it as of yet though. -
The thread isn't that old, it's ~10 days old. Anyways I've personally done fire/rad just not since the days of having 12-15 fire imps running in tow. I agree about stacking choking cloud with ST Holds on controllers. My old guild used quite a few grav/rad controllers to stack holds from ST, Choking Cloud and Sing for stacking mag on Hami as a previous strategy when we privately raided.

Yes that's right. I'm guessing I compounded movement speed and recharge speed in my head in-between meetings here at work.

Slow cap is 90%, so depending on if the character in question has some degree of slow resistance natively in their kit ymmv based on AT/Powerset. The c ap.hasnt changed any, and depending on purple patch level differences the effect will vary. Otherwise Winter IOs, and Winter's Gift universal travel IO are very helpful. I personally think building for slow resistance is essential on any long recharge click heavy builds. It's possible to cap your slow resistance at 100% so you can never be slowed. The base empowerment buff can also be useful for getting that last bit, if powers, and IOs don't get you to where you want to be.

You can override them by putting something else on top of slotted powers, or if you want to retain the enhancement that's slotted but unslot it, there's enhancement unslotters you can purchase (around $150k/unslotter) to remove one enhancement at the time. It doesn't take the slot away to let you reallocate the slot though, just the enhancement. -

Also if you look into base building. You can make a functional base with teleporters to most zones, a med bay, enhancement/inspiration/salvage storage, base empowerment buff stations, a mission computer, and a crafting station. This allows you store excess components and finished products and by right next to your crafting table. The only drawback is that you have to leave your base to sell on the AH, and there's no bin for recipe storage, so you have to keep those on your person or email them to yourself.

Also helps for when you're fighting a Paragon Protector that just popped MoG and you don't feel like dancing with him until it wears off.

Hmmm I would buy pizza for the whole dev team if kheldians got native mez protection while in human form. I'd even buy wings if theit damage scalar/cap was raised. Then I'd buy cinnamon rolls as well if the aoe knock back on PB attacks was naturally knockdown rather than knock back.

So I've made a fire/marine controller, and spent the majority of my play time over the weekend leveling him up, he's just under 45 ATM, so I anticipate 50 before the end of the week, depending on how much time I get to play. I put my theory crafting hat on for this one and I'm definitely liking the stacked sources of -res, -dam, and -def. I went with black scorpion for a procd out poisonous ray to further stack. Shifting Tides, Soulbound in imps, and all the -res makes the little imps hit pretty hard (especially using brine early off to soften hard targets). Only issue is I couldn't fit a travel power. So this thing is on a cosmic surfboard. So far definitely liking the combo, and figure it's going to really be fun when I get it fully online with my final IO sets, HOs, and Incarnates.

Aside of the change to bonfire, the only other changes really to either set were universal regarding level of availability changes for primaries and secondaries. -
It's honestly not done primarily because chilling embrace counteracts fury by reducing the amount of attacks coming at you. Personally if I were to farm with ice armor I'd be on a tanker.

On mobile so can't click mods link, but ice works alright (slower than fiery). Make sure to build for 90% res to whatever your fighting, and min 45% typed defense (should be no issue on ice armor). Otherwise make sure to build for the map you're using.

We never did that, but a local sorority did come by the house and have their members form a human pyramid (gymnastics style if you need a reference) with a few of my brothers as the base. We helped habitat for humanity build a couple houses when I got initiated. More rewarding then weird stunts. -

Thanks for the bit of data we got. Still holding out hope for an update at some point to the character AT/Powerset stuff Cipher released back in the day. It would be interesting to see how trends have adjusted over time since HC launched.
