  1. On live: Guardian - Heroes Pinnacle - Villains Freedom, Test, and every other server, including Guardian/Pinnacle - Farmers and PvP characters. HC: Everlasting - Majority of my characters I do transfer toons from time to time to other servers, especially for things like Tanker Tuesdays (when I have the time to actually get online). I also hop on the test/closed beta servers to test things (once again when I have time, a toddler definitely takes up a lot of it) Sandbox I also have my own server that I play around with like a sandbox. It's my insurance policy in the event that HC, Rebirth, Thunderspy, etc. go belly up.
  2. Yes, except in the case of unresistible resistance debuffs.
  3. I honestly thought you might comment on the flea joke and debated whether or not I changed it to lice. Anyways Merry Christmas.
  4. Just looked at this thread. I've farmed toons prolifically over the years (and even professionally when the game had first came out). A couple places in this thread I've seen reference to fire/kin controllers as the first farmer character. That is not accurate. They were very prolific, but that was due to two things: ancillary power sets and IOs. The first prolific farm toon was your fiery armor/ice melee tanks running on SO's. But the mob type wasn't fire based mobs it was war wolves due to their S&L damage, which prior to ED was pretty easy to address on fiery armor. Additionally having burn and ice patch kept the wolves flopping on their ass as they were burned, most often in a dumpster. Additionally this was before agro and target limits. That history aside, you can farm with anything but your efficiency as others have said will vary. I've used tankers, brutes, scrappers, doms, trollers, MMs, a PB, a WS, and even a defender to hilarious effect. Remember though the #1 rule of farming...no beggers from server wide channels as they have fleas.
  5. You're not going to get a response from the person you quoted as Herc passed away around this time back in 2021. Typically we try not to Necro these old threads, so if it's old and you see something interesting send the person a question rather than bumping an ancient post. As Hyper said invuln has been significantly updated since the build you're asking about was made so it's quite a bit out of date. Merry Christmas.
  6. I embedded my responses as underlined comments with yours in the quote.
  7. Although I didn't make a Rad/SS Tank, my favorite Brute to play is my SS/Rad. I fully support the idea of leaning into padding resistance and capping slow resistances. My own Brute version of this also rotates: RoP, Demonic, Meltdown, and Melee Core, which has served me very well. Rad/SS as a tank, would give you the opportunity to get your resistance levels where you need them with better slot efficiency, and allow a more robust proc load. I went with the Brute version essentially on a lark to add Fury with Double Stacked Rage as Gauntlet doesn't benefit the aoe radius of Foot Stomp. Overall both ATs excel with these power sets.
  8. Following up from a few days ago. I leveled my axe/bio scrapper and comparing that to my recent claws/stone and tw/ninjitsu.... I really like the play of the axe/bio and claws/stone, even moreso than the tw/ninja. All three are pretty survivable with the TW/Nin and the Claws/Stone winning out there. The claws has more ranged which gives it some utility for runners, but the axe has a taunt aura which helps synergize with bio (and axe cyclone really fits there like a glove). All in all I have a feeling that the axe/bio will likely get more play time than the tw/nin, and the claws/stone will likely end up in the middle between the three. I already like all three of these better than my other lvl 50 scrappers: Tw/elec Db/nin Ice/ice Sj/RAD Dm/SD Psi/SD Rad/DA Spines/Regen EM/Bio Elec/SR And claws/energy
  9. Thank God I wasn't named in this list as I don't contribute a damn thing, other than holding up teams because I need to grab a drink or change a diaper. That said I recognize a lot of the names people have dropped in this list so congrats folks. One person who legit showed me something so interesting at the time that it made me stop what I was doing and try it out myself was @Neiska with her triple box MM meteor maps back in the day before the agro changes. I only ever teamed with her once but I was genuinely surprised at the efficiency. It helped me get past my hesitancy towards MM's (on the live servers I never once hit 50 with a MM despite hitting 50 382 times, and on HC although I had farmed myself some MM's up. I had never really bothered to play them until I saw Neiska's robot army). Now, there's a good chance that I run multiple MM's built to be complementary to each other through content as I have around 15 fully built out MM's in addition to my other cadre.
  10. About 40-50% of the efficiency of winter IO when buying ATOs as they can sell anywhere from 7-11mil. LOTGs are a little better than ATOs as they only cost 50 merits + mats to craft, despite selling for 5-7 mil.
  11. Boosters typically sells for around 1 mil. Each one costs 5 merits. So let's say $200k/merit. A converter sells for around 60k/converter and they are purchased for 3 converters/merit. So let's say $180k/merit. Let's say a winter IO sales for $20 mil, they are purchased for 100 merits, so $200k/merit.
  12. What about ditching spirit ward for warrior's provocation so you have double taunt?
  13. After 5+ years of his presence on these forums, he's clearly an antediluvian malkavian as he's mastered obfuscate, auspex, and dementation.
  14. Well given you have a new movie coming out soon, you'll finally get to take a break from work for awhile...
  15. I've never had an issue with mobs wandering off from my claws/stone scrapper. Maybe it's focus/shockwave, but in collaboration with mud pots, but they tend not to survive long enough to get away. That said I'm leveling up an axe/bio scrapper currently, so I'll compare agro between them.
  16. I agree it is sad. I used to buy like 200 them or so, open them up, and then wait 6 months to sell off the Winter IOs I didn't need for a profit.
  17. Twice a month, I and fellow City Planners have to make presentations to the City Council about applicant requests and give a recommendation for approval or denial based on criteria that we have in the City's Development Code. These presentations are recorded and available for review by the public due to open meeting/government in the sunshine laws. However, hardly anyone ever watches them. In fact, the City Council barely even reads the executive summary on the front page of each staff report I make to accompany each presentation. That said the City's Planning Department is recruiting. The hours are long. The pay is low. And the projects are constant. Apply today, and once to get enough experience you too can get professionally credentialed as an AICP Planner (which doesn't really mean anything else other than you get assigned more complex projects). Act now and don't delay.
  18. I've never taken one on a melee toon, but I have taken them on a controller/domi and a mm. I often don't bother getting one though for domi because ice mastery exists and it's the chefs kiss for a domi APP.
  19. Thanks I'll check it out.
  20. I have 3x Necro/Dark MMs at lvl 50, that I like to run all at the same time. I just built a Necro/MM a few months ago that's 50 and I really like that one too, so maybe I make more? Individual power sets I reuse a lot.
  21. I really like the synergy of Ice and Spines. Slows, extra damage aura some ranged attacks. Darkest Night from Soul Mastery for -THD and stacking -Dam with Chilling Embrace. That said most tankers secondaries fit well with Ice Armor. I also have ice armor paired with Savage, Ice Melee and War Mace.
  22. At work so I can't pull up builds to check, but IMO you generally don't need soft capped defense if your using Radiation Infection as the amount of tohit it debuffs can be applied as essentially +defense you and your team have. To calculate the amount of debuff you can get out of it see: If I did the math right, assuming a 50% enhancement value on Rad Infection with and without controller power boost vs even con general mob/av and +4 general mob/av: With power boost active yields: 57.16% THD on an even con general mob 9.43% THD on an even con AV 27.43% THD on a +4 conned general mob 4.83% THD on a +4 AV Without power boost or after the 15 second duration of power boost: 37.5% 6.19% 18% 3.17% Against non AVs that's pretty significant, otherwise a decent buffet to give you an idea of how close it gets you. Now if you have an Alpha that boosts THD higher or different slotting, then the value could change. The AV calcs assumed the standard 85%/87% resistance values based on even con or +4.
  23. @WuTang make literally any tank combo, and come to Tanker Tuesday tonight. You'll see lots of tanks and get a feel for what they can handle and the fun shenanigans they can have. You can ask people questions and learn a lot. Note: if you're on @Spaghetti Betty's team you will die, but it will be fun.
  24. This is definitely true for Stalkers, Scrappers, and Tanks. Less true for Domis and Brutes. Personally though I slot IOs at soon as I am able to. I usually have them bought or crafted before I even roll the toon.
