  1. Love: That I can still play this game 21 years later after launch. Change: My socks, it's humid! I keed I keed. (sorta...ick) Hmmm...it's not a regular happenstance, but I've had it happen and I bet others have as well, but make quitting a team require an "Are you sure?" check. I have quit teams on accident an embarrassing number of times.
  2. I remember awhile back someone had the idea of a repel field with a timer. Still standing on the portal after 5 minutes? You get politely shoved out of the way. Bonus points if it chucked people over the edge and piled them in the center pool.
  3. Learned something new that will absolutely be used by me in future conversations. 😁
  4. Waaaaay back in the '00s, Sky-Hawke was heavily inspired by Superman. So, I'd say Henry Cavill would be my pick for playing him.
  5. Ice Melee/Electric Armor, especially with the latest buffs to the Electric Armor set. Slows, a hold, Ice Patch (which is useful from the moment you get it all the way through endgame) along with Elec's great resists, heal and a good aoe damage field.
  6. This sort of lunacy is what gets you on the /ignore list. Sooooo glad I won't be seeing your ridiculous bullshit anymore.
  7. I agree with this and I'll add that even when us vets were noobs, we had the manual that came with the game that explained the basics so you had at least an idea of what to do when you started. Now, new or returning players get plopped into tutorials that are okay, but not great at explaining things. Bonus points for all the people that say "I don't need no tutorial" and plop into Atlas with clue zero how to actually play the game. Perhaps an updated version of the manual that covers the basics like health and endurance regen, slotting, enemy powers that can affect the player, etc? Maybe hosted on the site with it pinned in the guides section and a link in the ingame options menu that opens a browser to it? As for gutting endurance because it makes the game hard?
  8. You can do that? Nice! Thanks for the tip!
  9. All of my characters start as a concept and have an origin story in their bio as well as all costume slots used for alt outfits before doing anything. Concept is king for me. In Mids, I'll put together as good a build as I can, but it stays within the concept of the character.
  10. I was afraid every time you entered Stealth, you were covered in Nerf bullshit. Not quite sure what Nerf bullshit is, but it sounds both gross and comfortable.
  11. A frayed wire on the vest and electric attacks get a lot more interesting.
  12. Yeah, it's a quick download and swap the new .pigg file for the old one.
  13. She's his sunshine on a cloudy day?
  14. I see you've met her. 😅
  15. How do you think the Skulls got to the level 40-50 range? Squats! Work that core!
  16. I already play Hardcore mode. I wait until everything's quiet, I ask my wife if she'll need me for anything for awhile, she says "no", I take that at face value and login. If that's not playing Hardcore, I don't know what is.
  17. Rule of thumb at the gym is any exercise with an Eastern European name at the front of it can and will kill you, which makes them the best ones. Squat on, Skulls!
  18. Yeah, but all those skyrockets are a delight in the afternoon!
  19. I'm all for a hardcore server, but only if it's gatekept by proving how tough you are to this guy.
  20. That also goes for the MSRs. If someone puts out a "all levels welcome" MSR in the LFG chat, then someone like @Ukase knows to steer clear. On the flip side, if you join an "all levels welcome" or "35+ welcome" team it's on you if you get miffed at how things are going. Upfront communication is key as well as understanding what said communication entails.
  21. I've always thought that Blue Steel should give the Clockwork King TF, Manticore take the Council one, Synapse goes after Crey and have Citadel as a trainer in Galaxy (now the west side of Atlas) instead of the Back Alley Brawler and have BAB as the trainer in KIngs Row. At least from a lore standpoint.
  22. I thought "Hardcore mode" was grabbing Snarky, the two of you jumping into a PUG Posi 1 and beelining for the steps when his back's turned?
