I know there's a benefit to it as well, but the click mezz protection is slightly annoying.

Semi-related. As someone who has played the game for a long time, even a new player can simply sell anything not IO related and just use IOs even if they are common IOs. You can IO out a build using commons for dirt cheap and that build will work perfectly fine for the vast majority of content. Even before IOs, I got to where I didn't slot anything until level 22 for SOs. Now, I would simply craft level 25 common IOs at 22 if I wanted to do it as low cost as possible. These days I generally do slotting in three stages. 1. Use a stash of uncommon attuned IOs and mix and match as needed and putting in desirable one off IOs until around level 27. If I get any bonus, then that's already better than a common IO. 2. Once I hit level 27, I can slot pretty much anything for the build outside of purples, etc. 3. Hit 50 and go all out. But again, you can slot in level 25 common IOs at level 22 and be fine.

+1. Dull Pain isn't a straight heal so don't wait too long on it. A Kat/invul is be rather hard to kill once you get going. FYI, I joked with a tank on my last Synapse TF where my DB/sr Scrapper was running around and pulling and herding. A conversion started between us, and I joked they should try being faster than I am. They responded that wasn't easy to do. 😆

A -Res proc will not stack with itself even if the proc is used by more than one person. Two different -res procs will stack with each other. -Res will likely seem the lesser proc if you are soloing. Stacking -40% Res is going to matter on a team and far out do damage procs.

You also might want to simply look at slotting Dehydrate more as an attack versus healing. You may want to sub in one of the end mod sets which offers ticks of HP depending on how you feel about end usage. The point is, if you are staying at range with that much def, heals might not be so required. You'll have to play around with it because even with that much def, you don't really have any DDR so that def can go bye bye in a hurry.

What builds/power sets are able to tank/solo +4x8?
Without_Pause replied to foosbabaganoosh's topic in Scrapper
I still partly think it depends on the situation. I did a solo at +3/x8 for a LR mission redside with my Ice/stone Brute, and I blame death(s) on not knowing the mission. I think +4/x8 is more than within the range of being done, and that's without the character being done. There are some configurations of Longbow and Arachnos missions which just simply rip that build to shreds. There are other redside missions which are simple build checks. More so if you have the flag for soloing AVs on. I think my default for that build is +3/x8 since about the only real thing doing +4 is there for is more currency, which I'm not lacking anyway, and my own ego. I prefer just getting through missions cleaner. -
I think the combo will work incredibly well. I think people can get a bit too caught up in terms of things being top tier. Case in point, I'll likely delete my En/ea Scrapper at some point. Yeah, I know. En just doesn't work for me. On a Stalker, it has even less AoE. Wee? I know the numbers say it is top tier. It just doesn't feel right to me. I probably should have given my Elec/shield Stalker a longer run, but I just kept seeing all sorts of no in the future based on how I like to play the game. Case in point, I hate long animations, see En. Of the Stalkers I have rolled, I got StJ/ea to 50, and the only other Stalker to really stick is Ice/stone. Ice Patch is cheat mode, and Stalker Ice is the best Ice. I can take that build against a comparable level Scrapper and solo on a higher diff setting with it. Maybe even a Brute. Note, we are talking different power sets. My Ice/stone Brute can be tanky as hell.

The Medicine Pool was much more a pre-IOs thing. I can't fathom finding room for it on a build now.

Just a quick general observation. Nothing should require 2 End. More so using level 50 IOs as that's near 3 SOs in terms of numbers. A single target attack should be 1 acc, 1 end, 3 damage, and maybe 1 recharge. Multi-target attacks do 2 acc, 1 end, 3 damage. Dehydrate needs acc. Geyser, Whirlpool, and Tidal Forces slotting is all sorts of no. They are attacks. Slot them as such. You don't really want to slot Def Debuff into Stream Spray unless it is a proc. More power to you if you can get to 50 without a travel power, but I can't fathom doing so. You need the Defender IOs to help with Ranged Def as that will be the easiest to cap.

To add, Kin is built for speed. Propel's animation time is long. If you need to pop a quick Transfusion while using Propel, you are stuck waiting. Wormhole comes late and has KB which Grav doesn't default into controlling so you need an IO for it since Kin really doesn't like KB on average. I think Grav could use some tweaking regardless of what it pairs with, but more so if you want to pair it with /kin.

As stated, WP being on a melee type with a bigger HP pool is going to offer more regen and thus be better. Just note Spin on a Scrapper has a shorter recharge than any other AT. Picking an AT for Claws is mostly about how offensive versus defensive you want to be.

Whatever tin foil.

The game hasn't been around for 20 years. Certainly not with an actual dev team. I wouldn't call the horde of bugs this game has as anything else. Hell, I play another game with an active dev staff for over a decade and that game has bugs rather easy to see. Saying fixing bugs is anything to do with the devs trying to nerf farming is straight up tin foil hat wearing.

You found one that hadn't been posted in 3 weeks, So...

I highly suggest never playing Path of Exile.

Generally speaking. 1. This is not a normal situation. A normal situation is where we are playing on an actively licensed product paying whatever the cost the publisher is asking for. 2. What happens in a normal situation by no means says it needs to happens here. Doing things for the sake of tradition can be and certainly has been bad practice. More so in the current era. At some point it helps to read the room. The internet in general, social media, etc has greatly altered what is expected interaction. 3. Correct, this is their server. If they wish to do something to the server, then by all means, they don't need to keep me up to date with their changes. This is not, however, their game. 4. HC at this point is far more by the fans for the fans. Doing a dev's log isn't exactly radical. Neither is doing a AMA, Any interaction with the devs here get huge positive reactions. I mean, see the link for what Path of Exile did for power changes. Is that asking that much really? I also backed a KS for a board game. The publisher did numerous polls asking the backers what they wanted in the final product. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3228807 5. I'm fine with not agreeing to the reasoning of a change. I sort of don't get removing AE from Atlas although it should have never been there in the first place, so bygones. What irks some of us is simply making changes without telling us why. Again, Burn was bugged. We know this. But why the recharge change? Was it still a bit too uber even after the bugs were fixed? (shakes Magic 8-Ball) "Try again later."

Good luck with them leaving bugs in.

This requires taking RofP. In farming builds it wasn't being taken because people weren't looking to farm with a build which was ideally faceplanting. I'm just glad I all but retired from dual boxing before Page 4.
-
Also, my first farmers didn't have capped Fire Def. I just used purples as needed. I've made three farmers across live and HC, and in all honestly, I would likely pull up the auction house 99 times for every time I farmed. I vastly only farm to dual box these days.
-
I would point out Ice melee because it is awesome, and it offers control for the Fir Blog mission so many hate. I've done IM on a Brute and working on a Stalker as that's where it is best.

The game is not officially legal. The Homecoming team has talked to the publisher numerous times to enable what you see as being a thing. There are other groups of people doing similar. As long as these are done for non-profit, the publisher has no qualms with what is being done. There is a team behind this site and effort and it is their responsibility to make sure 2-3 go smoothly. Honestly, I'm not sure I have seen a spam post, or at least one in ages. I've used the download link three times across different computers including a work one, so yeah, I trust the link. Thousands of people have downloaded this version of the game. Roughly 1k of people play on the most popular server on a daily basis. The biggest impact for playing the game will be having a dedicated graphics card. You can do so without, but certain maps and situations will raise issues if you are using an integrated card.

Except an at range Claws would also be skipping Spin which I would consider the build to be gimped. At least a Stalker gets AS instead of Spin and that version still sucks. No FU and Spin? Are you trying to do anything but tickle a mob?

There are a number of Controllers who can lead depending on how you play them. Ill and Dark can send in pets. Plant has Seeds. Mind and Elec can use Sleeps to lower alpha strike. I find Controllers to be some of the most versatile ATs the game has. Outside of that, the Epics/VEATs would win out. I love my Fort and all of the stuff he can do.
