I highly suggest never playing Path of Exile.

Generally speaking. 1. This is not a normal situation. A normal situation is where we are playing on an actively licensed product paying whatever the cost the publisher is asking for. 2. What happens in a normal situation by no means says it needs to happens here. Doing things for the sake of tradition can be and certainly has been bad practice. More so in the current era. At some point it helps to read the room. The internet in general, social media, etc has greatly altered what is expected interaction. 3. Correct, this is their server. If they wish to do something to the server, then by all means, they don't need to keep me up to date with their changes. This is not, however, their game. 4. HC at this point is far more by the fans for the fans. Doing a dev's log isn't exactly radical. Neither is doing a AMA, Any interaction with the devs here get huge positive reactions. I mean, see the link for what Path of Exile did for power changes. Is that asking that much really? I also backed a KS for a board game. The publisher did numerous polls asking the backers what they wanted in the final product. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3228807 5. I'm fine with not agreeing to the reasoning of a change. I sort of don't get removing AE from Atlas although it should have never been there in the first place, so bygones. What irks some of us is simply making changes without telling us why. Again, Burn was bugged. We know this. But why the recharge change? Was it still a bit too uber even after the bugs were fixed? (shakes Magic 8-Ball) "Try again later."

Good luck with them leaving bugs in.

This requires taking RofP. In farming builds it wasn't being taken because people weren't looking to farm with a build which was ideally faceplanting. I'm just glad I all but retired from dual boxing before Page 4.
-
Also, my first farmers didn't have capped Fire Def. I just used purples as needed. I've made three farmers across live and HC, and in all honestly, I would likely pull up the auction house 99 times for every time I farmed. I vastly only farm to dual box these days.

I would point out Ice melee because it is awesome, and it offers control for the Fir Blog mission so many hate. I've done IM on a Brute and working on a Stalker as that's where it is best.

The game is not officially legal. The Homecoming team has talked to the publisher numerous times to enable what you see as being a thing. There are other groups of people doing similar. As long as these are done for non-profit, the publisher has no qualms with what is being done. There is a team behind this site and effort and it is their responsibility to make sure 2-3 go smoothly. Honestly, I'm not sure I have seen a spam post, or at least one in ages. I've used the download link three times across different computers including a work one, so yeah, I trust the link. Thousands of people have downloaded this version of the game. Roughly 1k of people play on the most popular server on a daily basis. The biggest impact for playing the game will be having a dedicated graphics card. You can do so without, but certain maps and situations will raise issues if you are using an integrated card.

Except an at range Claws would also be skipping Spin which I would consider the build to be gimped. At least a Stalker gets AS instead of Spin and that version still sucks. No FU and Spin? Are you trying to do anything but tickle a mob?

There are a number of Controllers who can lead depending on how you play them. Ill and Dark can send in pets. Plant has Seeds. Mind and Elec can use Sleeps to lower alpha strike. I find Controllers to be some of the most versatile ATs the game has. Outside of that, the Epics/VEATs would win out. I love my Fort and all of the stuff he can do.

Trying to find the easiest build for an impaired player
Without_Pause replied to sutasafaia's topic in Tanker
A slower but hefty attack set like War Mace might be easier since it will offer less clicking. The only con there is you would want to lean on a Primary with +recharge. -
Stalkers getting /stone pretty much got rid of the argument for certain ATs logically not having certain powersets. StJ feels like a 'fixed' version of SS. Also, if Scrappers got SS, Stalkers should as well, and lordy FS while Hidden and Stalker ATOs.
-
Outside of theme, Power Sink + Short Circuit is a good way to drain a mob so there is synergy in the pairing as well.
-
There have been times where I wanted to just say what level I was and leave it at that. HC is so neutral to any specific AT I just have accepted unless specifically stated, your AT doesn't matter. If someone says level doesn't matter, just send a tell asking for an invite.

Two PBAoEs, no self heal, and no +end. You can proc Health and Stamina to get some HP back, but that's also partly impacting how much end you recover and the two PBAoEs are going to push you to want a lot.
-
This is very dependent on who you are fighting. I do believe it was Nosferatu who humbled one of the better builds.
-
One of the fastest to faceplant situations I have seen was on one of my /fire brutes, and they weren't using a farming build. I base this off of any map and as high of a diff setting as I can deal with solo.
-
Tough to knock WP that hard for being bad at debuffs when so many other Resist sets have the same issue. I have yet to find any resist set worthy of being an S tier on any AT. You can talk me into Stone maybe, but that's not fully a Resist based armor.
-
Incarnates and other options can make getting mezzed a non or at least lesser issue.
-
A well built blaster is a sight to behold. I've been on teams where blasters basically took everybody else along for the ride.
-
In terms of playstyle, Plant/dark is far safer. /dark can play at range and has a fat heal. Fire plays in melee due to the damage aura and /poison has no self heal. Oddly enough, I think switching the primaries offer up potentially better pairings. Plant plays at range and has a regen power. Those work well with /poison. Fire is an end hog and /dark has a way to cover that.

Artic Fog, Maneuvers, and Weave can get you a decent baseline of Def. Add in some IOs, see in Tough or elsewhere, and a Cold character should be rather easy to start capping Def on things. They can't mezz you if they can't hit you.

The problem with the original build is two-fold. 1. The slotting is terrible in terms of number of slots and what is being slotted. 2. The power picks are equally bad. There's so many attacks. Just reworking those would get the build up and running on a decent level even without going into IO uncommons and rares. On a generic level: ST attacks are 1 acc, 1 end, 3 damage, with an optional recharge. AoE get 2 acc, 1 end, 3 damage. Toggles get 1 end and likely 3 slotting for what they are primarily used for, see Resist. Stamina is a 2-slotter and more so with IOs. Health can be 1-3 depending on the situation. Kick and Boxing both aren't really needed. Pick one and go with it. Air Sup is decent, but Stalker MA has no AoE so I would grab Cross Punch instead. I would still skip on a MA primary attack to fit it in though. You don't really need 6 powers from your primary at that point. I'm guessing MA would likely need all of four attacks for an end game attack chain. Thunder Kick can easily be skipped.
