  1. I got on Brainstorm and slotted up the new sets to see the enhancement values they give at 50; I put the numbers into my first reply in the thread. I actually thought about suggesting a Damaging Endmod series of enhancements a few times, but I never did because I realized that in order for the set to give the sort of numbers we're used to from sets for damage powers, it would probably need to be a purple set for the improved enhancement values they have, because of needing to spread the six enhancements across so many attributes. The numbers I see on Brainstorm seem to confirm my worries. I don't think I would ever slot Synapse's Shock or Power Transfer as is, at least not unless endurance drain becomes a lot more effective against the AI. Also, I'm not sure what powers Preemptive Optimization is intended for. How many powers are there that don't have an accuracy check, but can be enhanced for range? Outside of the new electric buff set, the only one I can think of is Adrenalin Boost, and that already gives "you will never run out of end" +Recovery numbers out of the box. This is probably just me having a brain fart.
  2. That seems like an ideal compromise to me! But either way, it looks like Bombardment will be a very popular set.
  3. I think the recharge change would be fair. I wouldn’t want to lose the Acc bonus though. When I originally proposed the set bonuses I put a 2.5% AoE Def bonus in the 6th slot instead of a 3.75% Ranged Def bonus, though, would that work? Or is AoE defense somehow considered a stronger set bonus even at a lower value?
  4. Yeah, this is the only real issue I have with the name, it sounds too specific.
  5. Aw come on man, you gotta leave Positron’s Blast with something!
  6. How about Electrical Aid? Something with “Electric” would be good, so we can have “Elec/Elec” Defenders.
  7. I think this sounds like a good change to make.
  8. Just gonna reiterate what I posted in the patch note thread, that it would be great if the Damage and Acc/Rech IOs in Bombardment were replaced with Acc/Dam and Dam/End/Rech IOs to shore up the set’s feeble end discount properties. But even if that doesn’t happen, it still looks like a good set, and it’ll probably become the Blaster go-to, since they don’t really have to worry about endurance. As for the other sets, more EndMod/Rech IOs is gonna be very convenient for frankenslotting Power Sink; no more having to settle for Acc/EndMod/Rech IOs. I’m concerned, however, that the End Mod sets for damaging powers are going to go underused. I’m at work and can’t really run the numbers, but it looks like if you fully slot either set, you’ll only get around 60% or so damage enhancement. Edit: Here are the total enhancement values the sets currently give at 50 after ED: Synapse's Shock Accuracy: 42.4% Damage: 68.9% Recharge: 73.8% End Cost: 21.2% End Mod: 91.8% Power Transfer Accuracy: 39.7% Damage: 89.9% Recharge: 45% End Cost: 39.7% End Mod: 68.9% Preemptive Optimization Recharge: 96.3% End Cost: 85.7% End Mod: 97.1% Range: 36.7% Bombardment Accuracy: 66.3% Damage: 96.3% Recharge: 89.9% End Cost: 18.5%
  9. Are there going to be Focused Feedback threads for the various aspects of this patch, like we had for previous Pages?
  10. You’re right, I see it there now. It still might do to add it to one or two other powers in the set, depending on how strong it is.
  11. Yes, this and -Recovery resistance would be grand. An electric-themed Buff set is the perfect place to put those.
  12. Yeah, having Acc/Dam and Dam/End/Rech IOs instead of Damage and Acc/Rech IOs would balance it out nicely.
  13. Really cool to see Bombardment being added to the game! I am surprised to see that it has the exact same enhancements as Obliteration, though. In the thread where Bombardment was conceived, Leandro encouraged me to differentiate it from Obliteration, and I obliged, but this version is much closer than what I proposed. It still looks like it’ll be a great set though, I’m looking forward to trying it out!
  14. ESD Arrow, and all blaster AoE holds for that matter, are going to get hit with the nerf bat eventually, you can bank on that.
  15. It makes no difference to the game as is, because that story arc never even went live before the game was cancelled. It was one of the last pieces of content that players ever got to see, and nothing that dealt with the repercussions of that choice had a chance to be put in.
  16. Side switching became possible in issue 18, and non-epic ATs became possible to create as heroes or villains in issue 21.
  17. Probably related to the bug that plagued summoned spider robots a while ago; I took Summon Guardian from Leviathan Mastery on my Stalker, and I noticed it's constantly splashing as it hangs around. There's a splash of water FX when the Guardian is first summoned, but there's also one when the pet is dismissed, which makes me think it's the exact same bug that happened to the spider robot pets.
  18. Dakota Berg in Brickstown and Tyrka in St. Martial.
  19. You guys are out of the loop. One run of Signature Story Arc #1 part 4 set to any team size larger than 1 will get you the badge for the mayhem mission contact, on hero or villain side.
  20. I didn't think it was even supposed to be possible to reach Sigil before beating all three leaders.
  21. I doubt it's that bad. The bug didn't always exist.
  22. Does it turn into a log with a shirt when it expires?
  23. If t9 God Mode powers could increase player character resistance caps or decrease the minimum chance to be hit (where appropriate), they’d be a lot better. Also, Unstoppable should give +100% slow resistance and a 2-foot radius repel aura, so you can’t be stopped by snares or enemies physically blocking your path.
  24. Yeah, I would love to see this issue fixed.
  25. Sounds a lot like how the undead in early D&D would drain levels from the PCs.
