  1. ...is a hero character I've had since my start in Homecoming. A radiation blast/empathy corruptor for whom I've never found a satisfactory costumed look, though I've worked long hours on it. I was originally going for something hooded and winged, vaguely a cross between monk and angel. I finally decided to scuttle much of that, as the costume creator, for all its glory, lacked what I felt I needed. The one thing I could not jettison was the biography concept: that he's a tortured hero, doing what he must, but grieving a lot of the results. As a radiation user, he wields both the power to heal and the power to sicken and destroy. People call him a "saint" for rescuing them. He cannot fully accept that due to the deaths he's caused, villains though they be. Thus the name he settled upon: a lesser saint. So I needed to play visually with dark armor to reflect his dark pain contrasted with the light of his radiation power, partially obscuring his dark visage, which is how he sees himself: a dark soul obscured by the light every good person perceives. I'm still not completely satisfied, but I find the current look more interesting than those previous. Aura & sans-aura: ad07298f6db7ebe40e8aa1717288b9cf.mp4
  2. Hoodies. It may have been said before, but I was playing around in the character creator last night (when Excelsior crashed) and realized the "Hoods" option only contain pointy-backed hoods, of the sort seen in Robin Hood movies. No non-pointed hoods, and certainly no hooded jackets. I consider this important because a lot of modern portrayals of heroes and villains show them using off-the-rack hoodies to hide their features.
  3. Has anyone made sure the Excelsior hamster is okay? Actually, Torchbearer just spiked.
  4. Depends on the length of the outage as well.
  5. Hmm...if that's accurate, the Wiki really needs to be updated to reflect that. All 3: Twilight's Son/Tesseract, Lazarus, and Silos are straight up listed as Task Forces, and show an "Agree to Form a Task Force" condition, though the Wiki does state that they don't receive traditional task force badges due to their shorter content.
  6. Weekly Strike Targets (or Weekly Task Forces if you like) why are some chosen and others not? I was invited to a Mender Lazarus Task Force the other week. I couldn't recall if I'd ever run through it before, but I found it quite enjoyable. I inquired of my teammates why it was not in the weekly list, and no one could clarify for me. So what allows one task/strike force to make the cut while another does not?
  7. Agreed. It's one of those annoying things within the story of the Jedi. They went up against Vader's boss, and only brought 4 Jedi. Sure they were masters, and the lead was Mace Windu, arguable the third most dangerous Jedi, but still, they got cocky. Continued in spoiler mode:
  8. Just casual observation, but I usually notice that Hybrid finally unlocks when I'm Incarnate level 9.
  9. You, ah...forgot a "sand". Just saying. Would you be willing to quantify that statement? What specifics contributed to it?
  10. Comments in orange in hidden dialog. A comment or two, especially regarding Anakin/Vader:
  11. Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead. 400,000 though? Phthhh...forget it. Not into telescopes myself, but with today's technology, could they not just point a good one at the actual landing sites and still see the flags, rovers, and other left behind equipment?
  12. Beat me to it. There's some nice CoS looks in the recent pages (specifically pages 205 & 206) of the "Post Your Best Costume Designs Here!" thread in the Art & Multimedia forum, that might serve as inspiration.
  13. It's actually following a pattern I've seen with Disney TV programming going back at least to the mid-1980s with Brian Blessed's performance of Long John Silver in the Disney Channel's miniseries Return To Treasure Island. It was actually a fun story and a great performance from Blessed, but also clear that some executive told them to drag it out for a few more episodes. Only if you've seen episode 3 of O-W K:
  14. Just wait until the Clown Mastermind is finally released.
  15. Curtain was amazing. David Suchet really threw everything into it. He himself reported that he had to film the final scene out of sequence because it was so emotionally devastating and he needed something more stable to finish the shoot. There's actually one other dream project I had in mind, and it comes in two flavors. I'd really like to see a solid Dick Tracy TV series or web channel series created. Either option should allow for the villains to come to the show piecemeal as in the comics and not all tied to Big Boy's organization as was in the 1990s movie. 1. Option 1 - Start with a young Tracy, in college. Its the murder of his girlfriend's father, Mr. Trueheart, that changes Tracy's career choice. Time jump and he's now a beat cop with a degree in law enforcement. He's ever seeking the truth behind Trueheart's murder and that gradually reveals Alphonse "Big Boy" Caprise and his organization. Maybe end season 1 with Big Boy hiring contract killer Floyd "Flattop" Jones to deal with the cop. Season 2 would see Tracy placed with the detective unit, Season 3 would introduce "the Kid", etc. Vitamin Flintheart would be an Elon Musk type that befriends Tracy and supplies him with prototype gadgets. He'd also be obsessed with the latest health trends. So many characters to draw from, it would be a bit like CW's DC Comics series. This option would completely freshen the Tracy franchise to today. I'm not certain how much sci-fi to incorporate into it. For example, would we really want Pruneface to be the last Nazi leader preserved to the present by cryogenics, like happened in the comics, or would we want him the leader of a current neo-Nazi organization? 2. Option 2 - Start with Tracy at the end of his career at a celebration for him, and intersperse brief scenes where people at the party ask for his backstory, followed by another sequential adventure of a younger Tracy rising through the ranks. This would tell stories within different decades: 1970s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s. Sort of a Young Indiana Jones in format. This format would pay homage to the past while still leaving a bit for the present.
  16. My pancreas just hugged its security blanket and fled to its safe spot whimpering.
  17. Cottage Pie: You're bringing a savory into this? Crumble: Crumble is pie for those too lazy to make a good crust.
  18. Okay, then why delete? If one gets the Scientist accolade and a set of sleeping gas charges with it, they only have to right-click the sleeping gas in the tray and click "Remove From Tray". It's gone from sight at that point, takes up no valuable tray space, and yet can still be recall to use from the Powers menu if eventually needed. It's out of sight / out of mind. With the simplicity of this, I admit confusion why the devs would need to go to the extra effort to add a delete feature. Now the auto bonuses make sense if what they bring alters gameplay because they are automatic, such as the aforementioned Auto: XP Bonus. I know there are players who want to either not earn XP for a time, or earn XP without any bonus feature.
  19. These two Rikti monkey fight coordinators always struck me as having far too little humorous dialog for the potential they represent. We've got a lot of witty folk on the forum. For kicks, invent new dialog for them, but keep it on the rails. It should be potentially usable in-game. Feel free to screenshot other NPCs for which you think forumites might want to create dialog.
  20. Hasty generalization. They have not had my family's award-winning coffee cake.
  21. Don't cry! I'm sure your parents loved you just as much as The_REAL_Ted.
  22. Why do you ask, Fanged M?
  23. Just to be clear, you're referring to the auto bonuses, like the Law Enforcer badge's Auto: XP Bonus for mission completions, and not tools like Sleep Gas canisters from the Scientist accolade or the Rapid Response Portal from the Rapid Response Member accolade?
