  1. I suspect this is where "Coalition" can be used. I've not really heard it mentioned in Homecoming, though I've had no need to look into it either. Link your SG (or your solo SG) to other SG's by mutual agreement and recruit via the Coalition channel. I believe this allows you to access their bases as well. True, you'll not be able to change SG names on the fly, but we've enough costume spaces that there's probably room for Coalition uniforms.
  2. Great! Something to check out.
  3. Yes, but did it happen in-game, or has the duality been there since the game began? I think that's what Andreah is suggesting, that once a game design is established, world changes don't work well.
  4. I was doing some street fighting for a badge in southern Independence Port when I stumbled on this scene. I cannot ever recall seeing it. I assume it is associated with someone's mission, but they weren't around that I could see. I spoke to what appeared to be the NPC lead and he said something about backing you up with whatever you found inside. I assumed that meant behind the doors issuing a roiling grey smoke or mist, but they were locked. Any clarification as to what this is associated with?
  5. Disney acquired Marvel 5 to 6 years before the Netflix shows came out. It's more like a combination of dropping viewership (season 3 started 57% less than season 2) and Disney's future plans for Disney Plus. And its a badly kept secret that Kevin Feige gave no support to the TV shows after a certain point, nor offered movie crossovers to their characters. So basically, they were hung out to dry.
  6. Second episode out. Did some watchin', did some readin'.
  7. Incarnate missions, trials, and task forces. Because so many of us have a parking lot full of incarnates just waiting to do something. Revitalization projects for under-utilized zones. Pretty self-explanatory reason. Reformation of current Task Forces and Trials. Get rid of all the dead wood and repetition, add exciting new content, and meter them well to fit within a reasonable time budget (assuming a skilled team, of course. a bad team can even take some short TF and turn it into a nightmare time sink).
  8. But how do you know it is a Nemesis plot? Because it doesn't make sense! What makes you think it doesn't make sense? Well, because I turned into a Ritki monkey during the mission! (silent stares) ...I got better. There are other ways of telling if it is a Nemesis plot. Tell us! It is a Nemesis plot if it makes sense. But...if it doesn't make sense...it is a Nemesis plot. True. But if it also does make sense...? It... ....it is a Nemesis plot? Good! But that doesn't make sense! And therefore.... ....it is a Nemesis plot? Exactly!
  9. It is a good point. Possibly the best way to handle it is to separate the requirement of a Kheldian before they appear. Then set cyst appearance at a 1 in 100 chance each mission, or some such. Or perhaps if you do have a Kheldian, that chance is slightly bumped up, but no more than a 1 in 90 chance
  10. So, episodes 1 to 3 are now in the can and wrap up the major story of what should have been the last half of season 6, if COVID-19 hadn't interrupted filming. I liked the first two, but felt the wrap in ep 3 majorly dropped the ball. I noticed normally upbeat YouTube reaction folks felt the same. Nothing against the actors, the writing was just weak, but I'll forgive this because the pandemic made a hash of everything. Now we can begin with the true season 7 at episode 4. What'd ya think? I'm particularly interested in thoughts on the 3 surprises: two that happened in the episode, and one that happened in the tag scene. Spoiler thoughts:
  11. Old school? Fussy little prima donnas. I'll show them "old school". Old school is a posting on a BBS using a dial-up modem and 2 to 5 minute page loading, assuming no pictures. And that's with a connection. Pray I don't dig out the Commodore-64 with its tape drive, or waft a few IBM punch cards under their noses. And we liked it!
  12. Surprise cysts were the one thing I observed back in the day that could make a steamrolling pug team suddenly sweat bullets. In that sense, they were amazing, as they made you really step up your game quickly.
  13. We already have it all tied together, do we not? And the tie isn't Nemesis or Circle of Thorns. It's POWER. They're just prominent because they have so much of it. The real source is, well, the Well. The Well has power and the Well enjoys displays of power. Anything not already known to be pointing to the Well is likely a thread we've just not discovered yet. And if I understand correctly, the Well is beyond the limitation of the universe as well, meaning it intersects all parallel universes. From my limited perspective (I've not played every mission) the Well is this game's version of Infinity Stones.
  14. Yep. 500% magnification on Firefox is your friend.
  15. Thanks for the comments about MWB. First I've heard of it, though I've had no need to go reading for several years now. Looks like it is time to correct that. I've lost computers to McAfee before. Stripped them when trying to clean malware. And, though it has been a few years, we've had problems before with it refusing to uninstall, necessitating a re-image (rebuild). Not fun. John McAfee: is he still in Belize?
  16. Never much cared for McAfee myself. It's been a bane in the IT Desktop Support departments I've worked at, and false positives were one of the problems. If you're still concerned, consider downloading a free copy of Malwarebytes and having it scan the file separately. I've known many techs who use it as a backup malware scan, though I won't recommend having two malware scanners on the pc permanently. It should do for an occasional check, though.
  17. Welp, I feel stupid now. 🤪 I glossed right over that line and went for the antelope. Weird, 'cause I love buffalo...especially with cheese, mayo, ketchup, and a fresh-from-the-oven bun.
  18. Welcome (back) to the (concrete) jungle! Because it is new, at first chance, grab all the exploration badges in Atlas Park and unlock your new green travel menu button. Then be sure to tag at least one exploration badge in each zone you visit. You'll appreciate it later when you need to reach a previous zone quickly. Also watch for exploration badge tours. Some kind souls have taken to guiding and guarding teams of new characters, helping them unlock all the travel power zones in short order. It helps when it comes time to do the Numina Task Force.
  19. Keep using Secondary Mutation enough, and you'll get your chance.
  20. That's not entirely unlike some experiences having Fusionette follow my teams around back on live. "Wha...come on, girl! Why'd you have to go and aggro another bunc...wait, wait! Three mobs? Arrgh! Can I please shoot her already?" I notice she's tamer nowadays. (Still having something of that problem with Lady Jane in the Lost cure arc, though)
  21. I suspect it is a joke referencing the song "Home on the Range". Discouraging Word is used in the lyrics, though why they didn't use an antelope, I'll never know.
  22. I don't own an Xbox, (I only play the occasional Halo game on friends' consoles when we're all in the room) so please pardon my naivety, but you're saying MS never integrated something like this into their Xbox service already? How do Xbox players communicate on cooperative games?
  23. Clean look. Very nice! Kinda jealous I didn't think of it for my Patriot characters. Well done.
  24. Trying to recall, but back on live, didn't we used to have a dev-designated area around trainers where powers were dampened, due to the load they placed on old computers or something?
