I'm not sure anybody misses grunge. As to comics, I was only collecting while grunge was a...ahem, in the 1990's. So I was one step from when you quit, which nowadays would be "old school". From what I remember of the time, I enjoyed the Age of Apocalypse story arc (nothing like the movie), and I got a kick out of the various 2099 comics, sort of a next-gen concept on several popular characters, set in the year 2099. Spider-man 2099 was surprisingly dark for the time (cannibalistic Vulture), and Miguel, the future Spider-man was pretty cool. Doom 2099 I found surprising. I'd never been much of a fan of Dr. Doom, thinking him too over the top, but the Doom of 2099 is shrouded in a mystery, even to himself, and that created an edge that drew me in. X-men 2099 I thought had some interesting characters (the leader had an intriguing power set and was not Charles Xavier, not by a long shot), but I fear they ended that title before it could really get a good foothold.

WandaVision, Quicksilver, and the X-Men - Spoilers

Good use of color and shade. Not your fault, but I cannot see that chest symbol without thinking "AT&T".

I'd have to agree. A regen on a sentinel IS fine. Mighty fine.

I am going to assume an 11 year old movie doesn't need a spoiler window. I rewatched the Senate hearings scene from Iron Man 2. It is the " I've successfully privatized world peace" scene. After Stark displays failed attempts to duplicate Iron Man, he states all other attempts are a decade out from success, with Hammer industries being 20 years out. Now we're a decade out, admittedly delayed a year due to the pandemic, and delayed internal to the MCU chronology, by 5 years of the Snap wreaking havoc. And what do we have? The upcoming Armor Wars story with Rhodey defending Stark technology from theft by those who want to finish their designs, including from Justin Hammer. Foreshadowing planted a decade ago in an almost throw away line. Amazing plotting by the Marvel team.

"Big Green"? I love Welsh, such a beautiful language to hear. Wish I could speak it.

I've seen quite a few big bag purses. At that size they'd seem a target full of possibilities to a street thief. In reality, they're probably just holding the lady's entire essential oil collection. Never know when you'll need one of 'em.

Welcome home! Just be aware it's not a stagnant setup and that there are changes for the better, most recently in some travel options. Be sure to tag exploration badges as they'll help unlock travel possibilities.

Wait, I am confused. I am not drawing sides in this, but the "no thank you" side has repeatedly said this is trivial and suggested a macro could do it. Yet, at the same time said it is too much work. So which is it? And if it is a macro, why don't one of you constructive types with good macro skills write it and share? Those who feel they can benefit from it will be grateful and those who prefer the current method will still have their challenge.

*Summons electrical controller* ⚡ZOT! ⚡ Okay, so I've resurrected the thread. I did so because on a Synapse TF today, one of our teammates mentioned that the lore indicated the Clockwork King's inner court of Barons, Princes, and the like, were supposed to look almost human. I did not know that. I'm assuming that the developers just never got around to creating a unique look for these, but that would have been so cool to have as a final mission look. Perhaps what was intended ended up as a prototype for the gold-side robots.

I've noticed the occasional posting of a .gif of a character in the costume thread. How is this accomplished, especially those framed close to the character, rather than the full screen? I've dabbled with many technologies, but never really looked into .gif work before. Some of my characters pictures don't really have an impact without their auras taken into account, and that will require recording, I think.

I've a beloved cornmeal & sage dressing recipe we use every year during the holidays. It is one of the three ingredients in a dynamite turkey-rice-dressing soup we make. Sadly no cornbread dressing to pass on. Doubly sad, because I'm a born Southerner, descended from Midwestern farmers. You'd think that'd be a staple in our home. And yeah, no sugar. If you want it sweet, a drizzle of honey at serving time would be the way to go.

Heard an interesting (to me anyway) theory yesterday at the office watercooler... My coworkers and I were discussing the explosion of paid internet channel services just the other day. We'd concluded that although it's a pain in the neck to deal with, the only good financial solution right now is to monthly hop: binge watch one service, cancel, jump to another service. Rinse and repeat.

Trying to figure out which 8 of mine would be my challenge. I'm guessing those with 250+ alts would have it worse. Probably: Tank: Shield/Street Justice (gaining the team-related advantages of Phalanx Fighting and Grant Cover) Corruptor: Radiation/Empathy (Primary healer with rez) Controller: Illusion/Storm (my Swiss Army Knife with something for any scenario, including being a minor teammate healer) Corrupter: Dark Blast/Dark Miasma (including good personal and minor teammate healer with battle rez) Controller: Fire/Kinetics (with leadership pool and fire mastery) Controller: Electric/Storm (end drain, ice mastery, minor healing) Controller: Ice/Cold (with ice mastery) Blaster: Energy/Energy (with knockdown slotted) -- alternate: Blaster: Fire/Ice We may not drop them right away, but we'd lock them down so hard they'd have time to let the horror of their end sink it, and be unable to do anything about it.

MCU thoughts and theory-crafting
Techwright replied to Techwright's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
While I'm not sure of the Netflix guys reasons for cancelling, all TV MCU efforts prior to Disney Plus were orphaned by Kevin Feige at some point after the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Up to that point, they'd been given advanced information to aid their writing, and keep it canon to the movie MCU. The writers for Agents of SHIELD, for example were told Thanos was coming to Earth, but big whoop, so was everyone else. They were NOT, however, told of the outcome of the Infinity War movie, and as a result had an entirely different outcome in their show, effectively creating an alternate universe. All that to say this, Feige and Co. for some reason abandoned the TV shows and wouldn't even use their characters in movie big fight sequences. So unfortunately, they're unlikely to return. That said, Disney Plus gave us the much needed 7th season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, so miracles can happen. -
Logging out in one zone, logging in somewhere else
Techwright replied to nihilii's topic in General Discussion
I'm guessing it has something to do with the game's door mechanism. I have logged out before at one zone and ended up at another, but it usually is when I log out at the Cosmic Platform, which I gather we're not permitted to reside in. -

Hazard Zones: what might revitalize these?
Techwright replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
How would a GW2 dynamic event play out? I have never played it and have no reference point. Some of your description reminded me of the Fifth Column / Council war which played out in the streets for a short while, before the Council dominated. -
It may seem terribly obvious, but since you're going the route stated here, you're going to want something that plays best at the very edge of the fight, so you can see all possibilities. If you create a character that performs anywhere within the outer ring of the fight, even just halfway in, and you'll likely not see all the potentials for accomplishing your goals.

Except for the boots, the pants, the belt, the shirt, the gloves, the chest emblem, the mask/glasses, the two-prong/three-prong hat, the mallet, and the color scheme...you're right! He does look a lot like your character.

The Sewer Network: What might revitalize this?
Techwright replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
I suspect what Ghost was say was to add a level cap to the zone, so any higher level characters are reduced in rank as we enter. Then the suggested badge becomes more challenging for all. -
This thread is created for a discussion of possible future Marvel Cinematic Universe stories, themes, content, characters, etc. This is the MCU as a whole. Other threads will, of course, drill down to specific works, like the current WandaVision thread. Please remember to use the spoiler feature (eyeball in the toolbar) to hide any text related to recent Marvel releases, including news reports. I'd personally define "recent" as anything after July 2019, when Spiderman: Far From Home was released, ending Phase 3 of the MCU. If you've not seen content before August 2019, here is your warning that you may be spoiled by open discussion of earlier works. Please feel free to contribute new topics as well as answer posted ones. A question to start things off: The end of Guardians of the Galaxy, vol. 2 strongly implied that we're going to get Adam Warlock in the MCU. But the gem to which he's famously connected is no more (supposedly). How do you think they'll deal with this apparent discrepancy?

I am not familiar with that terminology, though I gather you either cannot watch it, or are having trouble watching it?
