I'm just starting it, and the first thing I notice is ... LATER: Just finished. Earlier comments suggesting this could be like a Doctor Who story from the Master's perspective are spot on. In fact, based solely on the first episode, I'm kind of sad Stephen Moffat didn't write this as a Missy storyline. I don't think I'm spoiling anything to say that, typical to MCU Disney + shows so far, there's a few really big twists in the episode. Also one casting surprise: Famous voice actress Tara Strong has an unusual role. Owen Wilson did not disappoint. I really liked his performance.

In answer to a few standard questions and pointing out some new things... Excelsior is the most populated server. Everlasting is the role-playing server Reunion is the European server The others are the...well, hmm...the servers for those who like it quieter or less populated I suppose. That by no means implies barren. I'm sure members of those servers will be happy to extol their virtues. 😊 Homecoming is not static to 2012. You'll do yourself a big favor taking the time to read "Issue" and "Page" notes. Right off the bat I'll point out that travel arrangements took a very different turn recently (which I personally find to be very nice), but you'll definitely want to read up on those. Also make sure to collect all the Atlas Park exploration badges ASAP, as that unlocks a key component to the new travel arrangement. Some travel changes are within the 3rd column powers themselves, including new groupings, so definitely take the time to acquaint yourself with them. Enhancements have also undergone major changes. Single Origin enhancements can now be acquired much earlier, and the new Upgrade button in the manage enhancements screen allows upgrading them to the max your level permits, assuming you have the cash to do it. I've found this works better than crafted enhancements right up to level 38. There's a new zone useful for big gatherings like costume contests, and well...read the Issue and Page notes. Oh, and have fun! PS - I think a few of the pen-and-paper players chime in down in the "real life" sections of the Homecoming forums, so you might want to have a look down there.

True, but in context of Snarky's statement, the lead waited until go to make the declaration. Why is that? If he was planning it, why not declare it up front in recruitment stage? Regardless of how Snarky reacts, the lead didn't have the best interests of his team at heart. It sounds like he was more concerned about a longer recruitment period. As a player, I appreciate notification of more challenging levels before I join. It has nothing to do with survival and everything to do with how much time I have budgeted.

While I am not conceptualizing mission as task/strike forces, I do understand your points. Actually, I'd love to have the nictus cysts back as random opponents in the missions. The idea of rounding a corner and coming on an unexpected random serious threat keeps things exciting, for me anyway. Likewise when quantum gunners were actually dangerous made things interesting by changing tactics on the fly.

Just a thought discussion here, not pushing for the devs to do anything. If someone were to design a new mission arc to formally add to the game (and not in AE for this discussion), which arcs would you want to point them to as guideposts for uniqueness, replayability, and just all around fun for the full team? And why specifically would those be your picks? Oh, and where might you recommend putting the contact and/or door missions, keeping in mind that it probably affects level range.

Now, now. Tony's not always been around. Before him, there was Howard Stark. So more just a Stark Universe, than a Tony one. 😉 I suspect its actually more of a "pander to RDJ" kind of thing, rather than merely Tony Stark. Now that Stark is toast, we should be seeing many more inventors, unless MCU leadership are dolts and only go with Shuri and the Wakandans building everything. (Unless it is quantum related, then its Hank Pym.) Actually I'm a bit concerned about that "its all Shuri" bit, as that is how Sam magically got the flying Captain America suit in record time. We should really be seeing Reed Richards and X-man Forge at very least.

I wish you well, but yeah, no. #5 is a killer, literally. I'm seasoned enough to stay upright in some pretty scary situations, have even been last man standing more than a few times polishing off the last of the bad guys, but I've played with too many teammates who do dumb, dumb, dumb, ridiculously dumb (did I mention "dumb"?) stuff and either the team wipes or worse, they pull all that dumb stuff right into me as they run past, and I get a solo death. Not going to waste my time and effort deleting due to another's idiocy.
