  1. It has nothing to with us vs. them. This thread covers the technical challenges of servers working together on new content. Others have also brought up the apparent animosity between the different groups running these servers. The 64-bit client is just another factor people will use to consider which server to play on. I can't imagine going back to 32-bit and the performance hit that comes with it.
  2. Number 1 isn't all that matters, but having a healthy population is certainly important. It's less important for a non-commercial game like this, but server costs need to be covered somehow. I was just curious because I've heard it's nearly impossible to do some content on other servers, which is obviously a non-starter for a lot of people. As far as people preferring low population servers, I don't have an issue with that. I just personally don't think there's really a downside to high population servers because it's easy to ignore people, do your own thing and stay in your own little group of friends.
  3. I'd be interesting if this was added as a difficulty setting. I've been wanting more difficulty options that doesn't involve nerfing your character.
  4. Do any of the other servers even have an active community? I don't have personal experience, but from what I've read, they all seem to be pretty dead.
  5. They're both terrible powers in my opinion. AoE damage is not lacking without them. I didn't take Fire Sword Circle either, I can't imagine taking all 3. This is all in the context of a high end lvl 50 build, while still working great exemped down.
  6. Ouroborus to Grandville already brings you very close to the entrance.
  7. Having multiple incarnate powers for different situations comes in handy. My Fire/Fire Blaster has every T4 Destiny for example. If you don't want to do that, you can always convert threads to ultimate inspirations and either use or sell them.
  8. You're right, I always forget the zone cap is different.
  9. Well, now that you know the time, either show up early or risk not getting a spot. Raid leaders can't control what other people do. I'm not sure what else you want us to tell you. It's a high demand event, so some people will always be left out.
  10. Instanced Hami can solve some problems by allowing the raid leader to decide exactly when to start forming. However, it will also bring its own set of problems, specifically not being able to get everyone in the league into the same zone to start. Also, some people will always be left out.
  11. I'm not sure what your issue is. The people who go to the Hive early to ensure they get a spot are going to do the same regardless of how early the raid is advertised. Personally, I haven't been to a Hami raid since the zone cap change. Waiting around for a while before the actual start time of some of the most boring content in the game, is not for me. To each their own.
  12. Most of the accolades are quicker to get red side. Invader is easy if you're doing all the mayhem missions as you level, otherwise you'll need the Hero Slayer badge to go back and get them all.
  13. Not to mention the economy on live where a single enhancement could go for over a billion inf. Now it's hard to spend a billion on an entire build.
  14. You don't need to farm for influence. I only farm to PL characters for the most part. Most of my characters have been slotted by playing Incarnate trials and TF's. You don't need much influence when you have thousands of reward merits.
  15. I'd suggest either a Fire/Kin or Fire/Cold Corruptor. Support that complements the Brute and also does damage.
  16. A Fire/Fire Blaster is pretty great at both AoE and ST damage.
  17. Fury is the only reason Brutes do any damage. Their damage modifier is low, so damage buffs don't have as big of an effect, which is also why their damage cap is so high.
  18. I can't remember if it's been done by a TW/Bio Scrapper, I haven't tried myself. A friend of mine soloed this with a Fire/Cold Corruptor with no inspirations or temps, so it can be done even on a squishy.
  19. I believe this is my current build. I normally build for more defense, but the purpose of this character is pure damage and it excels at it. Combustion, Fire Breath and Fire Sword Circle were all skipped because they're either bad or have a long cast time, I still have plenty of AoE damage without them. Most important are the damage procs in my main attack chain Blazing Bolt > Blaze > Fire Sword. Fire Blast is slotted for lower levels and when I need to stay at range. Pro-tip - Annihilation -res proc in Rain of Fire is pretty great. 20. It's not always as simple as that. Besides, how does having more people on a server affect you as an introvert? You can decide not to participate in social interactions in the same exact way, the number of people doesn't matter.
  21. There used to be a bug with inspirations not lasting the full duration, sometimes even dropping off after only 10 seconds. I don't remember if it was the first time I tanked for a Hami raid, but this bug happened to me after popping an EoE and going in to grab aggro. Long story short, I died fast. This was on red side and at the time everyone was using WP Brutes to tank, while I decided to use the superior Dark Armor. I remember having to explain to 40+ people on Ventrilo that it was just a bug and totally not my Brute...I'm not sure how many people actually believed me. However, the raid went fine afterwards.
  22. No one is suggesting it's okay to break the rules. Personally, I don't care if someone exchanged real money for in game rewards, however I understand it can be abused and why it's against the rules. I'm completely okay with that. What everyone is arguing with you about is you equating exchanging in game money with exchanging real money. They're not the same thing and I don't think you'll convince anyone otherwise.
  23. Dismantling the basis of your argument with a simple example is not trolling. You can believe trading influence for x is the same thing as trading real money for x. That's your opinion, it just happens to be a wrong opinion.
  24. Well, that's an absurd and quite frankly wrong opinion.
