issue 26 Patch Notes for August 27th, 2019
Solarverse replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
To each from their own perspective. My view on life differs greatly from others. This is why I learned to respect other's views...or at least I try to, not always successful I might add, heh. -
issue 26 Patch Notes for August 27th, 2019
Solarverse replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Then it would seem the proper solution would be to add options in game rather than removing things for everyone. You may have me on the statistics. I don't recall that poll, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't there. As far as having to redo the files after every patch, I would like to see an option added to allow those files to remain. I don't want to see anyone suffer migraines over sounds anymore than I want to see people lose sounds they love. There needs to be a way where everyone can be happy. The way this was implemented leaves some people with sad faces...percentage unknown. Some changes need to be options, this in my opinion was one of them among many. I appreciate your more logical reply to my post...much respect. -

Solarverse replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Over half, eh? I'm not even going to go in to that with you. Instead I will stick to a strong logical point; everyone had the option to remove the sound themselves this whole time, instead of forcing it on to 100% of the players. Everyone had the option. I have some choice words for you, especially about the whole door hitting me on my way out thing. But I'm going to let that slide and stick with the facts and stay on point. -
Focused Feedback: Tank Updates
Solarverse replied to Leandro's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Honestly, I was hoping for an aggro limit increase for tanks by 50 to 100%. This change is okay, won't complain about a buff, however, it just feels like there is very little difference between Brutes and Tanks now. They are pretty much the same with this change. Who knows, maybe it will play out better in game than it sounds on paper. I'm a realist, far from an optimist, but I will try and stay optimistic for this one and hold my final thoughts until after I have had a chance to experience this change. In any case, thanks for making the attempt, Leandro. A change was for sure needed. And whatever the long term affect this change has, I am personally very grateful that you and your team are listening and making positive changes. So thank you. :) -

Added the ability to select Borderless Fullscreen mode in any monitor connected to the system. This is an awesome change! Very appreciated, Dev Team! -
Ice Ancillary Power Pool for Corr/Def?

Hellbyeah, that's great news! That means we stand a decent chance at getting Ice and any others we are missing. -
Ice Ancillary Power Pool for Corr/Def?
Solarverse replied to Solarverse's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Are you sure? I'm not seeing it. -
I know this was brought up at some point...but can't find the thread anywhere. So it must have been buried pretty deep on these forums. Have the Devs given any hint on whether or not they will add more Ancillary Power Pools to the existing ones? It would be nice to see an Ice Shield on my Corruptor, or a Fire Shield on my Defender. I'm sure other classes could get the same love here and I am sure you guys have a few characters who are missing out on a bit of theme due to the lack of Ancillary options.

Peacebringer Combat Flight should use Hover's animation
Solarverse replied to McJigg's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm on board with this, it's actually a pet peeve of mine, drives me nuts so much I never use Hover on my PB. -
Both great ideas. Anything that gives us options and escape from what we currently have. I want to create a Stone Tank so bad, but I just can't get around the whole stone man looking thing. It kills it for me. Reminds me of DE.
-
As the title says. An option to not have the boulder man with skinny arms and legs, but instead something that allows your own character to show.

The fact you even had to respond in the snooty, pompous way that you did to a civil discussion is not palpable. It shows bad character. -
issue 26 Patch Notes for August 27th, 2019
Solarverse replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Has anyone tried combining multiple sound effects to one power? If that can be done, then I can undo this change on my own by simply adding the Kheld Howl soundbite to the existing sound bite. It would be a lot of work, but if it can be done, I would sure like to know about it. -

Solarverse replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Changes for the most part are fine with me as long as everyone benefits. Sadly though, taking away sound effects and graphics do not count as beneficial when only a few are the benefactors. Otherwise I would take no issues with the change. However, I do agree with pretty much everything you said. Good response post. -

Thank you....that change brought me back. I had zero idea this change was in the pipeline for a future update. -
issue 26 Patch Notes for August 27th, 2019
Solarverse replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Yes, especially when those changes were unnecessary and done because of a select few people taking issue with something that has been in game since the creation of Khelds. These were iconic sound effects that were tied in to the Khelds powers...now, they are gone. Sorry that you question my thinking here, but I am of the mindset that the world does not revolve around the needs of the few....that is completely illogical. Countless times have Developers of MMO's caved to the complaints of a few forum posters. Most players do NOT post forums, forum posters are the minority of gamers...and usually the most vocal about their opinions while simultaneously disregarding everyone else. Many changes were made to this game already due to people who had taken issues with it, which takes away from the game experience for everyone else. This game has a dark history of losing much of its eye candy and sound effects, and now it has just lost another. I have watched animations, sound effects and graphics dwindle away since this game's launch, and now there is another to add to the list. Some of us players just would like to know...where does it end? How much more sacrifice to sound, graphics and animation do we lose before it's finally enough? I watched this game change from it's infancy and much has been lost. So yes, I have left games for things similar to this change. There comes a point when a game is changed so much by the removal of what once was, it stops being the same game you once loved and cherished and tried to grow with. Taking things away does not constitute as growing. I guess some of us are more tolerant of losing things they appreciate than others. I am not saying I am leaving the game over it, however, what I am saying, is that changes like this pushes buttons for a LOT of people. I'm not alone in feeling this way. With other servers out there, it wouldn't take much to push players away and off to other servers. I do not want to be one of them...I have my roots and my friends here. However, I will if these types of changes are going to be the norm for this server. -

Not happy about the changes to PB's sound effects one single bit. That was always iconic. This is the type of thing that caused me to walk away from MMO's years ago....changes like this. Not digging this change at all, Devs, The complaints of the few, affect the many. -
Thirty Two views and no replies. That's not a good sign. This either means that my build is about as good as it gets, or /Elec on a Brute is not even worth it to people to waste time with. Is it time to re-roll then?
-
I need help with my SS/Elec build. Resist by itself; even at cap Resist of 90%, will cause you to fall quickly without any other type of damage mitigation. So I sacrificed as much as I could in order to give the build as much Defense as possible to strengthen the build. Unfortunately, I cannot soft cap my Defense no matter how hard I try, which leaves this build very lack luster for me. Sadly, in this game, Defense is key, the only time Resist plays a larger importance than Defense would be when facing off against Lord Recluse and his insane smack down ability. Other sets seem to be lacking in Resist, when you can soft cap your Defense. The only set that can reach both Resist and Defense cap, is Stone....and there is no way I want to play a Stone Brute. Running around looking like a boulder with skinny arms and legs just kills it for me, much less the recharge penalty. Is my build the best that it's gonna get? The powers I have selected are nonnegotiable, they are a must. The Stupefy in Hand Clap is only being used to remind me that a Knock Back to Knock Down needs to go there...so no, I am not trying to amplify Knock Back, quite the opposite. Take a look, and if you can find a way to strengthen my Defense without hurting my Resist, I am all ears. As of now, this is the absolute best build I can come up with. Add a 7th slot to all KB powers...this slot is reserved for ONLY a KB to KD IO that does not give any other benefits or procs or set bonuses. It is a 7th slot reserved for KB powers only that can use this new KB to KD IO. Allow this KB to KD enhancement to be removed free of charge and placed back in inventory for those teams that love KB. Problem solved.
-
It was a bad build. I stand my ground on Hand Clap though. I put a KB to KD in it and it shines bright as a damage mitigation tool. However, I myself am having issues with this SS/WP thing because I am trying to maximize my defense, while keeping Hand Clap and Cross Punch (in place of Haymaker). The reason I want my defense as high as possible is because malta or anything else with sapping abilities are killing me. So I have completely wiped my SS/WP brute and started all over. Originally I went for the insanely high regen (which was what my first build I posted was all about) and quickly learned that it sounded great on paper, however, it hurts like hell when fighting anything that I did not have a strong defense or resist to...especially Sappers. I myself could use some help, because no matter what I do, I simply can't get my defense high enough. Resistance comes naturally no matter how I build my build, so I honestly don't care so much about resist as I do about Defense. I typically come up with great builds (My Ice/Stone Tank is a God, nothing hurts this beast) but when it comes to SS/WP specifically, I am throwing in the towel and asking for help as well. Also, that "more knockback" thing in Hand Clap was a supplement for KB to KD, since one did not exist on Pines for Hand Clap (Even though one does exist in game.) Trust me, I'm not as stupid as that looked, lol. Still though, this SS/WP build, no matter how I build it, I am not satisfied. I want high Energy/NegE Defense. The rest, I don't care as long as whatever is low in defense, has a counter in the resist department. For an example, Low Defense for Fire/Cold...is fine as long as my resist to it is there. And since we are messing with Rage, I would prefer a high Resist/Regen WP (Since Rage Crash kills Defense anyway, Regen+Resist will be equally as survivable as a high Defense set) with the exception of Energy/NegE...which I would prefer have cap or close to cap Defense to counter Sappers. Desperately needing help on this one. Who knows, maybe one day you will want an Ice/Stone Tank and I can give you a die hard build. I am honestly deeply considering SS/Elec as I can easily achieve the Tank-like results I want with that build AND have a natural End Drain resist. In the days of the old, I had a really great WP/Stone Tank....I thought I could get those same results with a Brute using SS instead....I am finding this way more challenging that I expected.

Rose and I have been keeping an eye out for J-Man. Rose has been in contact with Mr. Trix, although what theh have talked about would be better left for her to describe. As far as I know, J-Man is still MIA.

How solo friendly is this game?
Solarverse replied to The Great Ricktator's topic in General Discussion
I never said a thing was wrong with it... please try to remain calm, lol. Explicitly, no. Implicitly ... several times. Your post positively reeked of condescension towards slow-road soloists. He's got a thing for implying stuff, then coming out with "I DIDN'T SAY THAT!" when called out on it... Yup. The only people who believe I am implying stuff are people who are over sensitive and need their safe spaces. I'm finished tip toeing around you guys and trying to explain myself. This is me giving the three of you the middle finger. You little sweeties are just going to have to get over yourself, and find somebody else to put words in their mouth and put them on the defensive...I see you for what you are....witch hunters.
