  1. First, most important, is that collision between two playing characters interrupts Assassin Strike. This happens quite often, since every melee player and his mother are rushing the boss in a fight...you are there before them, you set up for Assassin Strike, you start the animation, then half way through the animation, a Brute or Scrapper runs in and collision kicks in...moves you a couple feet and your Assassin Strike is interrupted. This has two consequences, resulting from a mechanic from an action you cannot control. When this happens, you have just A:wasted time setting up for the Assassin Strike that ended up interrupted and B: wasted a good amount of Endurance by activating a futile Assassin Strike. I would REALLY love to see this changed in some future patch. Second is more of a wish than an actual request, but...could we add an Electric Version of Psionic's Blade to Electric's Assassin's Strike? I would absolutely drool.
  2. Until about a month ago. That has changed. Now they grant full XP. However, if you kill them AFTER killing the AV, you get Blue Con XP instead of White Con.

  4. Not true, if you activate the power from hide, you get the crit, even if you are hit before the animation completes...even if it breaks you from hide. This goes for all long animation abilities.
  5. Psionic is fairly useless for end game PvE, very useful in PvP, and good for leveling. What it needs is a triple damage type to bring it in line for PvE end game. Sonic damage, Psionic damage and Smashing damage. Split the damage evenly three ways and you have a winner.
  6. On my main, Solarverse, I am an Energy/Energy Blaster. Nothing more frustrating than when one of those CoT Fire Lords (forget the name) who pop invincible, and get a stack of defense per every melee character near him. I just want to scream, "If you guys move away from him, I can drop him in seconds!" But alas, it's miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss.....

  8. Sure makes a lot of sense. Scrappers have the highest base damage values, even more so than Brutes. So I can't say Scrappers don't have their appeal. However, over all, I would take a Stalker over a Scrapper if I had to chose based on damage alone. Stalkers seem to be the best melee class for single target damage, even in a sustained way. However, Brutes and Scrappers will out survive a Stalker, so their sustained damage would be more if the fight gets tough enough to take the Stalker down.
  9. Here is a build I threw together. This build here gets you 75% resist on Smashing, Lethal, Fire, Cold and Energy. 62.9% Negative, 23.8% Toxic and 70.1% Psionic. It also gives you a decent Regen, a Self Heal and a decent Endurance Regen.   10. Out of all these responses, the most important thing was missed in the confusion; Stalker Critt more often than Scrappers. As a Scrapper, my Critts were far and few between. As a Stalker, I seem to Critt constantly. Sometimes three back to back, but on average, maybe every other hit, to every three hits. It's random, but Critts happen like fireworks. A Scrapper? Not so much.
  11. I can see why Ice would work for PvE, but curious, why would you suggest it for PvP?
  12. Then wouldja believe that in comparison to the sets you mentioned, Kinetic is actually faster than Spines or Energy on the whole? And average activation times are only slower than Electric by a few milliseconds? I think the "busy" aspect to the animations makes them look more time-consuming than they actually are, whereas the straightforwardness you see with some of the other sets, similarly, makes them feel faster. Hmmm, that is an interesting point. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the info.
  13. My only real gripe about Kinetic is the long and drawn out animations. If it were not for that, it would have made my list as a decent primary. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun set to play, I am just q big fan of being stuck if I need to suddenly move.
  14. Possible? Sure! (Technically, it already exists as Ice! Its just hard water ;p ) Though this would take a ton of time and resources from a volunteer staff. Question though is what would a Water Armor do that other sets currently do not? Is that anything like paper armor? All kidding aside, I cant see water providing any type of protection as armor...not even in a comic book universe. Pure water, maybe...because all attacks would pass through you, but then again we already have phase shift, so...still cant see it.
  15. If running PvE only, I would always always suggest defensive secondaries. However, in PvP, I would never suggest anyone go with defense. Why? Because with all the high accuracy and +tohit going around these days, even if you pop Elude, you will be smacked to the ground and face plant. IOs have changed things completely. So if anyone were to ask me what is the "best" Stalker build, I would easily, without hesitation, say either Spines/Elec, Elec/Elec, or Energy/Elec. You are probably asking why not Psionic. The answer is, simply put, most of that damage is Smashing damage. Very little of it is actual Psionic damage. However, if you like it, take it. Elec is an all resist powerset. With IO's, you can easily cap your resistance at 75%. Couple that with a Self Heal, you will be a force to be reckoned with. In PvE, you will get hit more, obviously, but you will be much easier for healers to keep alive. Add a self heal in with that, and you are golden. Agree or disagree...I would like for you to share your thoughts. In essence, prove me wrong.

  18. This right here. Not to mention, this game is one of the most balanced MMO's in existence. If we were to add the suggestion proposed here, it would absolutely kill the balance in this game.
  19. I'm thinking of Conductive Shield. Yeah, I personally love a Dom's/Controller's Conductive Aura, but I wouldn't argue against anyone asking for an optional change. Hope you get it, my man.

  21. So Elec, Dark and Spines are my favorite primaries for Stalkers. However, with Dark (and others that share the squat and poop animation) it kills me every time I Assassin Strike with Dark. I love the set's Primary, but man, I almost have to look away when I Assassin Strike with Dark, lol. How much trouble would it be for Dark (and others) to share the animation with Spines and Elec? I would love to see this an option in the not too distant future if at all possible.

  23. Here is the problem I am having with the idea behind this thread. The game didn't die. It went on long after NCSoft abandoned it. The game was still going strong when they turned it off, they simply didn't want to be bothered with it because South Koreans weren't interested in it. The game was still going strong and had a strong following. The following was so loyal, we all stayed in contact with each other long after the servers were shut down. Most of us were on a a Facebook page called CoH Survivors. We stayed in contact, told our stories, discussed possible revivals, we were a community...and still are. Meanwhile, the game went on in secret for over 6 years. It had over 1,000 players, who all shared the same secret of City of Heroes' existence. That in itself is a miracle. Think about it...6 fricken years...1,000 players...all keeping the same secrets. It was not until a disgruntled player opened up that secret that the game is suddenly open for all...and like the loyal fans we are, we ALL came back. This game is now stronger than ever, with the same kind of dedication, if not more so. And you are going to come in here and tell us why this game sucks, and you understand why this game died? Just the fact that you made this thread tells all of us that you have no clue why this game was shut down. I can't say it died, because it never died. It's still here, my man. You are barking up the wrong tree. Go back to DC Universe, and grind for that gear you always wanted, go play that one player game that can be soloed almost in its entirety. Or if you would rather, go back to Champions Online, where again, you can solo that game in almost its entirety...and their idea of group Task Forces, consisting of a single mission that you queue for over and over and over again, and it only lasts 10 to 15 minutes. Or how about the fact that they have the same powers for over 6 years, with very little change. If that is your idea of a good game, by all means, give your stuff to somebody, delete your MM, and go have fun...nobody will stop you, I promise. Coming here to tell us why you hate this game is only going to get you a face full of dirt by us devoted fans. We are a tight knit community here...even those of us who dislike each other will stand up together, united, to defend this game that we all love. Making this thread was a very bad idea.
