  1. Unfortunately, it didn't work as well as I had hoped. It worked pretty well leveling up or against just a few foes. Maybe if every attack had heal proc it would work better. But without higher defense too many hits come in. In a team with a little support it works just fine, but then again, what doesn't. I'll keep brainstorming and trying different stuff.
  2. I've tried a few different "sappers" but the only one I thought did it effectively enough was elec/elec dominator. I assume that an elec/elec controller could be just as good, perhaps better. I just ran an elec/elec blaster and while I could reduce critters to 0 endurance, keeping them there is harder than just killing them . . . and more dangerous. Maybe you could go soul patron for Soul Drain, Mistress, and Power Boost. Here's a build with capped S/L resist and can hit softcap to most positions and vectors by alternating Power Boost, Clarion Radial, and Support Hybrid.
  3. My default response is that any combination of powersets can be good enough with the right build and play style. Some things are easier, somethings are better at certain things. But you can take any AT and any powerset combo and solo x8 at 50. OK, maybe not a petless MM. But that goes under the "right build" setting. And yes, there are combos that are better for fire farming, or AV soloing, or ST damage, or AoE damage. Those things are demonstrably measurable. But you can do all those things on characters that may not be the best but they do the job.
  4. Wow! 67 seconds! That's very impressive. Is anyone keeping track of times? I'd love to see a ranking or top ten of times and the players/builds that got them.
  5. I shuffled some slots and powers around. Still capped S/L resist and softcapped range, but I think it will be easier to level.
  6. You can certainly move picks and slots around to fit your needs. It has softcap defense to S/L/E with agility, 37 to F/C, 27 neg, 16 psi and 25/30/35 to m/r/aoe respectively, so it does have mitigation and I expect it could solo +2/x8 at 50 with incarnates. But if you want a solo defender there are better choices than emp-elec.
  7. Someone on Excelsior requested a build for Emp-Elec, so here it is. Change it to suit your needs. 8. I would love to be able to buy the accolade powers at P2W. I don't care about the badges that accompany them, just the powers themselves. I'd pay good money for that.
  9. Whew. For a second I thought Fashion Victim badge was going to be unique and only available through costume contests and was about to rant. Nothing to see here. Carry on.
  10. That's what I get for relying on Mids and not doing the math myself. Thanks, Bopper!
  11. I never pay close attention to these sorts of things, but, just out of curiosity, do they have different names at all? I went to check and looked at six of them. Same name, same look, same colors, identical in anyway I could see.
  12. I've switched to the scorpion shield build with a few modifications. Too many deaths solo at /x8. Lets see how I fare with the extra defense and a few more heal procs. Those acc/dam HOs are super expensive. I had one in storage and got a lucky drop from a Lord Recluse. The rest got an Acc/Damage from one of the sets that already has a proc. I initially did not have the -KB proc anywhere, but Force of Thunder is also my blaster's sustain power so I like to get that it early in melee and it was making a mess. Thunderstrike might still get a -kb, but so far I am using it towards the end of my melee rotation and it is finishing off any minions, most Lts, and leaving bosses and an occasional Lt. I don't mind a few being scattered as I can then go back to my ranged blasts. It's possible I'll change my mind, but not so far.
  13. It's a female robe, I think. But not a shoulder piece.
  14. Let's see . . . as I have it slotted, BU and AIM recharge in 39 seconds without any FF procs going off, but 27 seconds if one of the FF procs go off. From playing, it's fairly easy to have one on. With 2 level 50 recharge IOs BU/Aim recharges in 29 seconds. With 2 recharge and an FF proc it's 21 seconds. So the difference is a spread between 2 and 18 seconds. To have 2 recharge in each I'd have to give up 2 slots from somewhere and lose the bonus damage from Gaussian's, the perception from Rectified Reticle, and whatever those two other slots did. I think I'll keep my slotting. But you don't have to!

  16. So I started thinking about the new Power Transfer Heal proc and how I could use it. I did not initially realize that it was NOT unique. So I figured I could slot a bunch of them in Electric attacks so I made a blaster, started putting a few in but didn't want to gimp my damage so I also added damage procs . . . and force feedback procs . . . and I think I ended up with some Frankenstein monster that Sir Myshkin might call a Mad King. I've gotten it to 50 and have started traveling the incarnate road. It has less defense and resists than I am used to, but mez is the worst. I've got a revised one with scorpion shield that I will post below as a possible respec. But I wanted to get Clarion and the rest on my incarnate powers filled before deciding. 17. The answer is obvious. Make 300 accounts, log them all in simultaneously, set them all to follow your level 50 incarnate as he/she gets all the explore badges in Atlas. Easy!
  18. I've always wanted a mez set with damage. Is Anti-/jranger a thing?
  19. After the release of Page 5 the Devs decided that they needed to invest in flame-proof suits prior to releasing any other patches. But the Corona-pocalypse has lead to significant shortages in supply.
  20. My head hurts. I think I feel smarter.
  21. Do you mean to tell me that none of you have used [lightning rod], [shield charge], or [spring attack] on a friend, teammate, or random passerby? I guess I'm the only jerk.
  22. I would only do this if you have a goal of getting all badges on a certain character. I did that on Bionic Flea, but could not be bothered to sacrifice a the equivalent of a purple or ATO/WinterO for a badge.
  23. I don't want instructions as much as a visual. But thanks for the info. At least now I can try to imagine it.
  24. Yeah, I'm curious to see the "disqualified" one myself.
  25. Everyone already mentioned most of the scarier things in the game. They all have either -defense debuff (sorrows, Vanguard, PPD awakened, Arachnos spider queens), endurance drain (sappers, Mu, Freakshow super zappers), tohit debuff (spectres, dark ring mistress), or very high tohit (50+ Praetorian resistance, Rularuu eyeballs). I'll add the Animus Arcani -- they have defense debuff, endurance drain, -tohit, and a bunch of -recharge and team buffs that make them deadly in large groups, especially in their level range.
