Remember that /enterfrompasscode will still work when close to a regular zone SG portal or ANY players mini-SG portal. So if each player on a TF has one it can be summoned inside the mission upon completion and you can still use the same macro and transportation hubs that you always have. You also have the option to obtain (through purchase or badges) the Long Range Teleport which will get you to your destination zone quicker as you don't have to zone into and out of a base. So all it really takes to keep what you currently have is to spend 1 million inf (per character) or log off next to any base portal. I appreciate that this is a change and different and not as convenient, but it's not the end of the world either.

One other slight difference, no Statesman in final mission.

Here's the easy thing to do: 1) Log off next to a Zone's SG Base portal. That will get you two TP powers - The SG Base Teleporter and the Rapid Response Portal (you can buy another of each from P2W); 2) As you are playing and in a zone, take a minute to grab the exploration badges in that zone. That will get you the explore badges, the accolade badge for getting all in a zone, 5 merits, and adds that zone permanently to the Long Range Teleport Power. LRT will be faster than any travel using the base as you will skip the load in time in and out of base and go straight to the desire zone.

I agree with Mac. I was initially apprehensive of the "fix" even though I know enterfrompasscode would eventually go away. I think there are more and better options to get around the city quickly now than there was before this update. The one thing that is slower is that the enterfrompasscode cheat had no animation. But that was part of what made it a cheat. I can buy tps, earn them via badges, or both! My old characters are logging in and getting Long Range Teleport granted on login. Only my badger has all the location but most of them have at least a few locations as I generally go for zone explore accolades while I'm getting my other accolades.

Galaxy Brain, thanks for all the time, effort, thought, and presentation you put into your charts. It's really amazing.

Unfortunately, they have to design around both an SO build as well as cutting edge builds. They can't make something that's OK with SOs but becomes the proverbial "I win" button with the right build. *shrug* My condolences on your loss. -

Focused Feedback: Sonic Manipulation
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Ditto. Can confirm. I have no problem with the word migraine and I don't like vertigo. Ear worm is funny, but probably not what we are going for. Personally, I wouldn't change the name, but if we do what about the more generic term, "headaches"? Alternatively, how about "nausea?" Both are affects of actual sonic weapons. https://theconversation.com/sonic-attacks-in-china-and-cuba-how-sound-can-be-a-weapon-97380 I do wish that more of the sonic manipulation set had -res as that is the affect most commonly associated with sonic powers in game. I started a new sonic/sonic blaster to level naturally (no "freebies" or double XP), although I do get IOs from the freebies menu. So far so good, but he's only level 13. -
Does anyone have a base set up on Brainstorm (test) Server to test the new TP powers on? If so, please feel free to add your base passcode. I'll whip up a functional but not fancy base later today and post mine. EDIT: feel free to use DREAMTEAM-105. It has tps to all zones, NPCs to buy, sell, level, change costumes, and crafting stuff.

Brainstorm is the official/unofficial server wide channel that is open for joining. -
People, this is a beta test. Please stop generic complaining and get to testing and give specific critiques as to why a certain change is bad. Just complaining will not result in a change. Testing and critiquing can and does result in changes.

Is the player's name a secret?

I was looking around in the character creator and I could envision up-down animations like hack, cleave, or clobber for a single target blast, one of the whirls for PBAoE, and any of the swinging right to left as cones. Some of them already have particle effects at the supposed point of contact. I grant you that original animations for a wand/staff blast set would be better but I think there is enough to work with.

Rest in Peace GM Cyclone / Robotech_Master
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in Fallen but not Forgotten
Damn. I had read of his tragic accident and was hoping and praying that he would see it through. Rest well, my friend. -
I vaguely recall discussion of the launcher having the capability to be customized with existing player-created add-ons like Mids, VidiotMaps, and other custom stuff. Is that what you mean by "Addon manager and updating"?
-
I think it depends on the level and the content. If you are running Positron or other low level TF you are much less likely to see a long list of set bonuses than if you are running I-trials, Hamidon, or other end game stuff . . . and rightly so!
