  1. Base building, AE writing, AE challenges (eg. see Linea's 801 line), Pylon times (already ongoing but could be expanded to other GMs and AVs), Badge collecting, . . .
  2. And thus, this is why the merit price of purples and WinterOs is a cap on the price in the market. Why spend more than 25 million influence if you could buy it for 100 merits or use those merits to make about 25 million?
  3. Hush, hush. Keep it down, down. You're so scary.
  4. You've been spotted! 1 Mender Silos reacted to this
  5. Those were the best days of my life.
  6. I saw them a few nights ago.
  7. Yes. But only if it's me. Which it isn't. So . . . no.
  8. Sounds like you're requesting Hamidon Mitos photo bombs! (Damn, now that I put it that way, I want it too!)
  9. 1. Because. 2. Why not. 3. It's fun. 4. Why should blasters have all the fun? All that said, I wouldn't have a problem if there was an optional setting that removed access to I-Powers at 50. But there would need to be some benefit to that. More XP, Inf, Merits, drop chances, something.
  10. But Jimmy, how long can I be expected to play this awesome, free, pirated game without knowing whether it's officially permitted by the people that killed it?
  11. Sort of, but it's also that the PPM formula for radial makes it horrible for AoEs and Auras in general, especially when going after a single target like a pylon or AV. I expect that it would do better in high critter saturation where you have a chance to hit many targets with radial on AoEs/Auras. So radial might be better for some heavy AoE characters if attacking large crowds, and definitely if you are at the damage cap, as once you get there Hybrid Core's +dam does nothing but Radial will still add its proc damage.
  12. Well, it's been long enough for people to submit a proposal for the prize and I have already picked one, leveled it to 50 +3, and even moved on to other characters. Drum-roll, please . . . And the winner is . . . . @Yomo Kimyata!!!! Yomo, send me a PM or in-game message to coordinate your PL and prizes I went with a Dark/Dark Stalker, which ended up having 7 fear powers! Assassin's Eclipse, Touch of Fear, Cloak of Fear, Intimidate, Invoke Panic, Water Spout, and Fear Incarnate. As I was leveling up, the presence pool was helpful in paralyzing one or two critters while I dealt with others. As I gained levels I used those powers less and less. I actually use the fear incarnate power more even though it has worse recharge and endurance because it also has the -tohit that Presence Pool lacks. Pacify also got some use in lieu of Placate, which I skipped. But with the stalker ATOs, neither placate nor pacify is necessary. The lack of -tohit and high costs of the presence pool powers makes this a pure concept build that works well enough, but I would be much better off taking other powers. If they had - tohit and if I could take either Invoke Panic or Unrelenting with just one power pick I think people might take this pool more often. At a minimum, we should be able to pick intimidate as a first power pick. Many pools allow you to choose any of the first three as your first pick. Come to think of it, I may respec out of Invoke Panic and try Unrelenting. I've never used it at all. The build was modified using Yomo's as a base. The powers were actually taken in a slightly different order; for example I took combat jumping much earlier. Here's the build:
  13. Midzards?
  14. But Jimmy, all threads on the Internet are ultimately bickering!
  15. Taunt is auto-hit in PvE. In addition to the aggro modifier, taunt has a -range component. If you are the only target a taunt would cause the critter to come closer, even if he is ignoring the taunt component. But If running is deemed to be problematic, make this critter like the Nemesis Snipers who almost never move. I didn't think that was particularly offensive. But my apologies if I offended.
  16. If you are solo, taunting is practically useless whether you're a tanker, brute, blaster, or anything else. You'll have all the aggro. And, as you pointed out, since there is an aggro cap, there may be critters that are ignoring the tank anyway. My suggested anti-taunt critter would be one that the team would want to prioritize. It's OK if you don't like my idea or have a different opinion. But if you are going to give reasons the reasons should at least make sense.
  17. I remember way back in live . . . maybe around issue 6 . . . a friend introduced me to an add on that substituted certain skins for others. If you had it installed, you would see yourself (and anyone else that chose the identical costume) wearing things the game didn't allow. One of the options was a little more detailed naked option. That lead me to uninstall since at that time my kids were young and watching me play. All that to say, if it is feasible to do those sorts of costume swaps locally, then Billy Bob can drape himself in the confederate flag and Otto can plaster swastikas on his forehead and no one but them would know. But it would also allow anyone to import the flag of their country or whatever flag they wanted.
  18. I haven't suggested increased HP. Others have though. My ideas were to add optional new bosses with different abilities and AI.
  19. I'm in the no group on this one, sorry.
  20. why would you want to neuter a tanker from being able to hold aggro? just my 2 inf, the idea of just making everything bosses or EBs sounds incredibly boring. People are quitting TFs that take too long as it is. Why make them longer? 1) Having ONE single mob that ignores a tanker's grunt is not "neutering" a tanker's role. They can have all the other aggro. 2) I, along with others in the thread, are spitballing ideas to add some variety or complexity beyond "everyone steamroll with AoEs" 3) Maybe people are quitting TFs that are taking too long . . . because they're taking too long? Another crazy idea, right?
  21. Here's another crazy idea. Have a sniper boss that's immune to taunt but is exceptionally aggravated by buffs and debuffs. You'd want CC to lock that guy down quick.
  22. Each zone, mission, base, AE farm, etc. is one map instance. The closer the ratio of players : instances is equal to one, the more soloing (or solo afk) is going on.
  23. Didn't we have this conversation already?
