  1. This. ^^^^ Even if you blocked transfers it's just a speed bump. Set up a fire farmer in AE (which you can transfer and leave there), PL second account and friends to 50 in a few hours. Having transfers free both ways lets people try out a PvP server without having to commit to it forever. It also lets PvP folks transfer back to other servers to help out a friend on a TF or what not. The only reason not to allow transfers back is as a punishment to PvPers. "Bad player! Now go to your server and think about what you've done and don't come back out!"
  2. I'd have no problem adding a PvP-everywhere server. I'd also have no problems contributing to it, even if I used it rarely or at all. But I don't think it should be transfer free. I like the fact that transfers are generally available.
  3. I wouldn't lose sleep over it (or anything relating to the game to be fair) but I don't want it to change. There are things to do in those zones as is and there is only a small chance of encountering another player, let alone one of the opposing faction that is interested in defeating you. And even if there is, big deal -- you get knocked out and teleported to the hospital. The only true injury is to ego . . . and only if you let it.
  4. I just wanted to say procto-logical. Carry on. 😁
  5. I generally buy my converters with merits, EXCEPT for a few dedicated fire armor brutes that generally don't stray too far out of AE unless it's to get an accolade. Since they don't have many merits but lots of cash, I just buy the converters to avoid having to switch characters or log the second account. Buying converters for converting is my main use for merits, although I will occasionally get catalysts or boosters just to finish a character NAO! I generally subscribe to the Myrmidon and Myshkin style of playing a character all over the place and selling their drops, after conversion if needed, as they level up. Once they get far enough along the incarnate path that I consider them "finished" and I move on to my next project, I may assign them to buy and sell a certain thing and then visit with them every few months to collect, craft, convert, sell, and set up new patient buys. That's just not procto-logical!
  6. Ouch.
  7. I remember the good old days when whirlwind cancelled all animations. *sigh* I miss those days.
  8. Westin Phipps is the most evil man in the Rogue Isles, in my opinion. If his assignments don't make you reconsider your alignments, you have no heart or soul! https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Westin_Phipps

  10. But Jimmy, a contractual obligation IS a legal obligation . . . *disengages lawyer pedant mode*
  11. I think Veracor is a great raid leader, cool dude, and dedicated player. But I think we should limit player memorials. Under those standards, many people would deserve a nod.
  12. No, thank you. But I would certainly support portions of those zones being added as PvP maps for the arena.
  13. Nice! Thanks for sharing that. I'm impressed at how consistent your Raw Inf number is.
  14. All of those are memorials for heroes that left us much too young. RIP heroes. EDIT: I found a list on the Wiki: https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Category:Memorial_NPCs
  15. While I appreciate that some people like or want the grind, I do not. I run all content on all levels on blue, red, and gold, but to be fair most of it is blue side. I don't need or want the game to tell me what to do or encourage me to do one thing over another. I make up my own weird goals to keep the game fresh for me. Sometimes I PL to 50, sometimes I solo mission arcs, or run TF teams, or Signature Story runs, or badge hunt, or run every mission available in Ouro, on rare occasions I even PvP. I play the market and farm enough to finance all my projects but neither farming or marketing takes up most of my time. I guess the thing I enjoy the most is making oddball builds that work. There are plenty of things to do.
  16. I think it is fair to say that a lot of what used to be vendor trash IOs have gone up in price while almost all the big ticket items have gone down in price, or at least stayed flat. I'd have to see some data on it but I suppose that it's possible that there are so many IOs that have gone up in price vs those that have gone down that it is a net increase in prices. However, that also means that people get more money for selling junk and, in my opinion, should make the mythical casual player able to earn enough from sales of anything to make a good build without being a farmer or a marketeer.
  17. There is a price ceiling. It is the vendor price in merits. Purples and WinterOs don't go much higher than 20-25 million influence because at that price you could buy it with merits. You can buy a merit for a million inf and you can buy 3 converters for 1 merit. Converters sell for about 75,000. So if you used 100 merits to buy 300 converters you'd get 22.5 Million (75k x 300=22.5M). Even if the relative price of converters changes (and they have), nothing will sell for more for 100 million, the price you could buy 100 merits.
  18. Let me add my voice to the chorus of "no" *Ahem* Do, re, mi, fa, so, le, te, Noooooooooo!
  19. Don't you have and use consume? How about the Panacea, Numina, and Performance Shifter Procs in health and stamina?
