Focused Feedback: Dark Melee Update (Build 2)
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
The latest version is not as sweet as the previous one. But it still about doubles the damage of Dark consumption/equilibrium that my tank is currently doing. So while it's not as nice a buff, it's still a buff. -
I'm not a fan. I currently "live" on help channel and provide assistance when needed and chat when not. If my chatting on help is going to be policed, I'll end up going to general and helping less. I didn't even monitor the help channel and LFG channels when the game was live. Petty? Perhaps. But it's accurate.

Focused Feedback: Dark Melee Update (Build 1)
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I'm agreeing with this. While I was loving the damage that I was doing on my shield/dark tank, I understand that clearing mobs solo in three attacks might be a bit much (Soul Drain, Dark Consumption, Shield Charge). And though the concept of tying it to endurance is cool, I think it is better for overall game play for players to know "this power does X damage" and then let them add enhancements, +damage, and/or procs (or not) as they wish. Alternatively or additionally, can we see what the existing formula for the new Dark Consumption is? Has that been posted anywhere? -
Focused Feedback: Dark Melee Update (Build 1)
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Wait. You're removing the chance for scrappers to crit on dark consumption AND putting +DAM on a curve for everyone using consumption? -

What a goober . . .

Add me to the list of characters with invisible katanas. Cleric Flea on Excelsior server, in case that helps the powers that be. Now that I look at it . . . it seems kinda . . . dirty.
-
But Jimmy, why can't I call dibs on all possible "________ Flea" names now?
-
Awesome news and work. Thank you. May I make a few suggestions? 1. Place the primary powerset where "inherent" is now, followed by secondary, then inherent and inherent fitness. That would make it similar to all previous hero builders that I am aware of. And it just makes sense that the primary and secondary powersets should be in the primary and secondary positions. And then maybe one more column for incarnate powers? 2. A function to auto six-slot a power with a selected IO set. You may not always want to six slot a power with one set, but when you do, that function would be a helpful time saver. 3. A set bonus finder. Sometimes you just need a little more "oomph" to get softcapped defense or perma-hasten or whatever build goal you want. A way to search for set bonuses would be very helpful for those occasions, especially for folks less familiar with all the IO sets. 4. Remove walk. While it is an inherent power I think it's just taking up valuable screen space.

Elec Elec Mu. Perma Domi. Perma Hasten. Defence Capped.
Bionic_Flea replied to Golden Azrael's topic in Dominator
I had an Elec/Elec/Mu dom on live and it was fun and safe, but slow. I revised it using some of the new toys we have available and switched from Mu to Mace. Yes, it's a little less thematic, but as Chelsea said, I hardly ever used Surge of Power. The revised version is softcapped to S/L and just shy on energy. Things are either asleep, drained, confused, flopping like fish, or all of the above. Zapp and Thunder Strike add some heavy damage and bonus damage from perma Tarantula and Voltaic Sentinel. I went Agility Core for recharge, defense, and extra end-mod on all my attacks, Support Core to boost mezzes and defense, accuracy and damage for me and the pets, Clarion Radial for even more mezz & defense, along with extra range, tohit, and end mod. And Ion, of course, but I went radial for more thematic end drain, recovery debuff, and chance to hold. There is no influence inequity only a knowledge and desire inequality. We can teach people how to make billions. We have. We continue to do so. But if people want to run on SOs only, that's cool too. It's up to them. Anyone that wants to can have more influence than they can spend without too much time and effort expended.

Yes. But it's dancing on the edge of a wire. It can be steamrolling solo +4/x8 and then a lucky shot gets through and your eating pavement.
-
It's actually pretty good. The pets are the biggest endurance hogs, but those are only summoned every 4 minutes. A few seconds after summoning I'm back at full. Of course sappers or a bunch of Mu's can be a problem. But that's true for a lot of things. I can always slow down my attacks a bit and let the spiders pick up the slack while the endurance returns.

Here's mine. It's a monster. I use [Shatter Armor] for single target damage and more -res. It's super high recharge for all perma pets and I and my pets are softcapped by alternating Support and Barrier.
