  1. I'd rather have a great player on a T3 than a so-so player on a T1.
  2. Sorry, Ukase, you know I love you, but you can't have it both ways. You're constantly telling folks that anyone can AFK farm and anyone can earn millions if they just do x, y, and z. Coming to the forums and testing in Brainstorm is no different. Anyone can do it if they want to and follow some basic steps. However, I understand that people don't farm, or market, or post, or test stuff for all sorts of reasons.
  3. This is what I made on test server. My live one is fairly similar except instead of chords of despair, I took Impassioned Serenade with the Contagious Confusion proc. But I am going to switch that out to an Acc/Dam or Acc/Mez.
  4. Hmmm . . . I hadn't thought about that. Are you telling me that AE Farmers can get these just by . . . farming in AE? *gasp!*
  5. I do think that Aethers should drop for non-50s in the WSF arcs. I don't think that there is a good reason to prevent non-50s from acquiring them that way. It's not incarnate related; it doesn't add to any power creep; it is only cosmetic.
  6. I think that Symph is better on a controller than a dominator, because Symph is all about the cones. I tried a symph/sonic dom on test and that was a horrible combo, IMO. /Sonic wants to be in range to debuff and attack and is counter to Symph's cones. I have a symph/dark controller that I think is crazy good. I play it at range, worked in range bonuses, and added another cone and additional damage with ice storm and frost breath. I think a symph/dark dominator could also be good. It has a Nightfall cone and some other great ranged attacks. I could also see Thorny Assault and Savage with their own ranged cones, and Feral Charge can be used to leap into combat
  7. My intent is not for it to be limited to only goldside characters. My thought was that it would start in the Night Ward Midnighter Mansion. As you mentioned, the Wards are available to all alignments and factions. But they are also definitely Praetorian; so your statement that "The Praetorian alignments are for level 1-20 characters" is not entirely accurate. One is able to go from Imperial Underground to the Wards or use any of the Tunnel Portals. Why not? Because. Goldside has no TF. Goldside has no meaningful path to level beyond the mid 30s to low 40s. All sides could use more 35-50 content. The full story of Praetorian Hamidon has yet to be told.
  8. They always listen, they sometimes agree, but rarely do they obey. Kinda like spouses!
  9. It depends on how it's done, I suppose. But all fights in this game are recycled. Press buttons, click mouse, look at pretty pictures on the screen.
  10. Yes, and pay attention to each critters XP % when creating/fixing your AE arcs. They will need more attacks/powers than they did before to give 100% XP.
  11. Hmmm . . . good points about the strength of Praetorian Hamidon. What if we have the 35+ TF build up through the Hamidon family to the big bad Hamidon. Right when you think you've done the impossible, it's revealed that you just defeated less than 10% of the True Hamidon! And then that leads to a new Praetorian League sized Event (a la regular Hammy) or I-trial for levels 50+. EDIT: Or maybe it's a level 35-50 TF but then the Hardmode available at 50+ has you fight Prae Hamidon. Kinda the way Aeon and ITF work now.
  12. One of the frustrating things about Praetoria is that Praetorian characters are hard to get to 50. I have one that "cheated" by getting the last few levels running missions (not farms) in the Pocket D AE. Another frustrating thing is that Praetoria doesn't have a single TF or trial. While the game tries to send you to Primal Earth as either a hero or a villain at level 20, one can choose to go to the Wards and run some fairly well written arcs and some repeatables to get into the late 30s and early 40s. But then you are kind of stuck. You could go run the zone events as those critters are "levelless". But that gets old quick. We've also been introduced to the Seed of Hamidon and the Avatar of Hamidon in other events and missions and we have seen glimpses of Hamidon's tentacles as shadows or as calcified remains. A Praetorian TF or Trial using the Hamidon family would finally give Preatorians one of their own; allow players that want to have a level 50 Praetorian a reasonable path to achieve that goal; provide additional content for the 35-45 range where leveling frequently slows down; lets us see the Praetorian Hamidon in all its glory; and finally finish the Preatorian storyline by tying up the last loose end -- Hamidon.
  13. Now that we have some templates to draw from in the hardmode ITF, I would LOVE to have the giant mekman come out of the Volcano in Striga as a periodic Zone Event! I would also like a level 35-50 Preatorian TF or Trial that has you fight all the different members of the Hamidon family: The Seed, The Avatar, and Praetorian Hamidon himself!
  14. That's why I brought the mountain to Muhammad.
  15. But Six, why do you work so hard to disappoint me?
  16. But Six, why do you hide these nuggets of important information from us?
  17. This was such a pleasant and respectful thread yesterday. . . .
  18. But Six, if you would only listen to me everything would be better.
  19. I'm sorry you feel that way, PFlux. I can certainly understand the frustration as I was dying over and over in a 4 star ITF. We finally completed it and got good rewards, but it was a slog and not fun to me. Some of that was me, some of that was my teammates, and a lot of it was the insane damage and gimmicks the new NPCs use. But mostly I think it's the newness and we will all get better with time. If the missions you are talking about is the new Cimeroran missions, those are also designed to be incarnate content and have some of the same critters and powers as the Hardmode ITF. So yeah, they are hard, especially solo and if you're not 50 with full incarnate powers.
