  1. Last in to close it out!
  2. Necromancy got buffed in Page 5! 😜
  3. I think it's a good idea. I don't mind people running streams, but I don't want to be on them.
  4. The OG devs wanted you to travel through their snazzy zones to see all the Easter eggs they left for you to find.
  5. What are the TFs that are run most often? My guess would be Posi, Yin, ITF, Apex, Tin Mage, and Market Crash. What do all of these have in common? They can be sped in less than 30 minutes and kill most take 60-90 minutes. They have minimum zone changes. They have huge numbers of critters to mow down. They have one or more interesting AV/GM fights. They have good to great rewards for completing. It's fine to have some shorter and some longer, some simpler and some more complex. But the TFs named above seems to hit the sweet spot that makes them popular with just about everyone.
  6. And I think it is not. Merit Rewards act as a price cap. Removing them completely would lead to rampant inflation. Not to mention everyone that hoards merits or PAPs would just have them disappear. No, sir. I don't like it.
  7. There's no set amount of time required or expected. The testers are volunteers just like the devs are volunteers and as such have work, family, and life constraints that may vary. Edited to add: Testing is also very bipolar. Months may go buy with nothing new to test and then other times it's non-stop new things being added everyday, sometimes several times a day. Most people just focus on one thing or another because it's near impossible to test everything,
  8. It's me, isn't it? Fleas ruin everything.
  9. While I think that might be true for some people, for many others that leads to an argument about the reasoning, which you acknowledge in your thread. Almost all of the argument about the reasoning is armchair quarterbacking of how the reasons are wrong or invalid or not as good as some posters reason. All without ever even logging into the test server to try out the changes. So while I personally like additional transparency and communication, I can't really blame them. It would be nice to have a dev summation at the end of testing that discusses their reasons and goals.
  10. Neiska: I am not a dev, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn . . . once . . . before COVID. Anyway, I think it is fair to say that they did take non-inf rewards into account when they initially removed incarnate XP and Vet rewards from AE and then switched that to remove conversion of Emps to Reward Merits. Why would they do such a thing? Well, I think it may have had something to do with your theoretical numbers, but tweaked a bit in the other direction. What happens when one player runs AFK farms of 2 characters on each server all day, everyday, at 100 million per hour? That would be 2 accounts x 5 servers x 100 million/hour x 24 hours = 24 billion a day, plus drops and previously including a bunch of Emps that could be converted to Reward Merits, which in turn could be converted to inf. The 8 people running the ITF generally spend at least a few minutes before starting to build the team and disband afterwards. The Mega-AFK farmer can reset quickly all day long or set up a bot to do it for them. I am not accusing you of doing this. I am stating that I believe some people do this and that level of influence, emp, and merit reward accumulation was game breaking.
  11. Funny. Following my own noob advice I have more billions than I can spend and on average I make a fully kitted out level 50 every month. If I wanted to make a new kitted out 50 everyday I might need to change tactics. That said, I also run some hardmode and some farms and I do sell stuff on the market.
  12. On my live Symphonic/Dark, Fade is giving me 14.24 to all EXCEPT toxic, which grants 14.46. Where the heck is that extra .22 defense coming from and why is it different than yours?
  13. 1) Play story arcs & TFs, get exploration badges, and answer any calls to kill a giant monster. All these things will reward you with merits. 2) Sell your common (white) recipes to a vendor. 3) Craft every yellow and orange recipe drop that you also got the salvage dropped for free. This is especially true for leveling characters as there are some desirable IOs that do not drop at 50 and every level down from 50 results in a significant reduction in crafting costs. 4) Use the merits you earned to buy converters. Convert the IOs you created into something that you need for your build or that sells for 1.5 million or more. 5) Repeat steps 1 - 4. 6) If and when you are full of recipes that you lack the salvage for take stock of what you need to craft them and put in low ball bids for the salvage. Congratulations! You are now a billionaire.
  14. Good job, WindDemon21! You got that annoying extra damage removed!
  15. One possible explanation is that the XP value of critters varies wildly in and out of AE depending on relative level, rank, and other hidden variables. How many players can tell you the XP value of any specific critter without looking it up? Not many, I would guess.
  16. Is there a good way to search for those in CoD?
  17. That sounds more dangerous than messing with the space time continuum!
  18. You keep posting talking about "we" but, to the best of my knowledge, you have not been elected or hired by anyone to speak on their behalf. So I'm not sure who you claim to be speaking for. Even though I would like for the bots to keep some -regen, you don't speak for me.
  19. The Devs giveth and the Devs taketh away. DO NOT QUESTION THE GIVETH!! The taketh is fair game though.
