  1. There is a difference between "can" and "should." I really like the new difficulty settings in Aeon, and the Aeon TF in general. The ability to add difficulty, power, and complexity to critters and content is amazing and I look forward to seeing what can be done in the future with that tech. But what many in this thread are saying is that the team should not have changed the requirement for the existing "Master of" badges but rather done something like what was done with the "Worthy Opponent" badge - add a new badge for a new (or reinstated) difficulty level. I understand that the original "Master of" badges were obtained without incarnate powers and that this is a reversion to those times. But I think this may be the first or at least one of the few times that badge requirements were made more difficult and not easier. This issue wasn't commented on much or at all during testing, because most people were looking at the new content and new power sets and not on changes to existing badges. So please consider these critiques as if they were made during testing.
  2. I'm sorry, but I can't help it. This is where my brain went when I read through: Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say I want it that way I think Ukase is the bad boy non-conformist wearing a hat.
  3. I wish they had kept the requirements for "Master of" badges the same but added a "Grandmaster of" series of badges with no incarnates added on as a difficulty factor.
  4. /jranger. I don't like purchasable badges, including the already existing ones. So put me down as a firm no on adding any.
  5. More Spoilers . . . maybe . . .
  6. What place has that stuff? Or is it verboten to say? EDIT: Never mind. It's in the thread title. I see it now.
  7. This thread needs more whimsy!
  8. There is only one place where one Incarnate Cimeroran Traitor currently spawns in the game, and that is Imperious in the last mission of a Sister Solaris arc. The few that have the Legatus badge deserve it for having killed that one critter 100 times. Future content will have missions filled with Incarnate Cimeroran Traitors. Your choice is to run Sister's final mission 100 times, wait until the new content, or some combination thereof. Personally, I ran it once just to have the counter set as a reminder and will get the rest when the next update comes . . . unless I get REALLY bored.
  9. To be frank, I don't think you have a good handle on what's bad, good, or great. If you are quitting characters in their 30s and haven't invested in them chances are that they will be somewhere between bad and good, regardless of AT and powersets. Any AT, any powerset, and I'd go so far as to say any combination of powersets, can be great with the right build and playstyle. I'm not talking about intentionally gimping yourself by playing something like a petless mastermind or otherwise purposely making questionable power and slotting choices. And I'm also not saying that all ATs and all powersets all play the same and can do it all and be great from level 1. But I can tell you with confidence because I have done it: any AT, any combination of powersets, can solo most content at +1/x8 or higher by level 50. By any reasonable standard that can't be bad. And by my standards that is great.
  10. Do not use special IOs in the rest room. That's where most accidents happen.
  11. According to Mids Discord: Metalios — 12/08/2021 We are almost done everyone, ran into a bit of a snag with a few of the expressions. Ironing that out now
  12. Oh great, now you guys made @Captain Powerhouse change his signature from Wind to Lips. I have no idea what a lips power set would be . . . sonic . . . verbal manipulation . . . kissing . . . ? I'm very confused now.
  13. Good people do bad things. Bad people do good things. Sometimes people act like jerks for reasons we aren't privy to. People sometimes overreact in the heat of the moment and then wish they could take it back once emotions have cooled. I'm certainly glad that I am not judged by the worst thing I've ever done and I try to extend that courtesy to others. But yeah, some people are just jerks through and through and aren't worth dealing with if you don't have to.
  14. I agree that the per map cap on tickets is set way too low and should be adjusted up. However, I consider conversions a built in cap -- an escape valve for a run of bad luck -- but not a suggested value (MSRP) or actual retail price. Most of the game's exchange rates are pretty bad.
  15. I'm saying that you can start the TF solo on lowest settings and get to the Dark Vampyris without too much trouble at all. It's the fastest way I found for that badge, as I know exactly where those transforming critters are. Other arcs and TFs it's the luck of the draw. On another server, I joined a team that was specifically farming and resetting that mission for Lycans and Voids. The voids took longer, but it certainly went quicker with a team. But you have to be careful not to kill the Vampyri before they transform.
  16. You don't really need to fight any AVs in Aeon for the Lycanthrope badge, IIRC. Just get to Golden Roller, pummel him for a bit, go to 5th Column Dimension, damage the Dark Vampyri until they transform, kill the wolves, reset when done and do it again until badge obtained. Should get it in 3-4 runs. Then it's up to you if you want to continue the TF or just quit there. Oh, and you definitely want to set it to lowest level (Villainous, I think) for badging, unless you enjoy the challenges.
  17. Confirming this bug. I was coming to report it myself. Steps to repeat: 1. Get Stalagmites Power 2. Change appearance to lava 3. Use Stalagmites and notice lava theme 4. Build seismic pressure until you trigger Seismic Shockwaves 5. Use Stalagmites again and notice that Enhanced Stalagmites uses default stone theme and color, not lava theme.
  18. Measure twice, post once. 😜
  19. I will talk smack to you and then tell you how great your costumes are . . . if I ever see you in game.
  20. How about Ukase University's Master Class?
  21. There could, and perhaps should, be additional university classes for "Set Inventions and Bonuses," "Auction Houses, Black Markets, and You," and "Converting for Pleasure or Profit." Similar to the existing University tutorial, each Professor would send you to the next Professor upon completing the training. "Set Inventions and Bonuses" should give you the assignment to create an uncommon set IO of your level (level 25 or over) with four choices: Melee Damage (Focused Smite), Ranged Damage (Ruin), Endurance Modification (Efficiency Adapter), or Health (Harmonized Healing). The Professor then instructs you to look at the set bonuses and explains the Rule of Five. Finally, he tells you to visit the Professor for "Auction Houses, Black Markets, and You" before slotting your new IO. "Auction Houses, Black Markets, and You" instructs you to visit the AH or BM, tells you how to search for certain items, explains "bundling," and assigns you to purchase a matching recipe piece to the one you already bought along with the required salvage. I guess the Professor will either need to give you a token that allows these purchases for free, or more realistically just hands out a million or two of influence in the form of a Student Loan. You come back to the Professor to craft your second set IO and this Professor once again asks you not to slot it until completing the next class and advises that you can transact business "online" via /AH unless in a base or mission. You are then sent to . . . "Converting for Pleasure or Profit" will introduce the student to the Conversion UI and Converters. Another Student Loan will provide a single merit to buy 3 converters and some funds to purchase 3 more at the AH/BM. You return to show your Professor that you have 6 converters. The Professor instructs you on the option to convert by Rarity, Category, or Set. The Student is instructed to look at the set bonuses of the items they crafted and assigned to look at the Auction House (in person or by /AH) and look at other Sets in the same category. The last lesson: Should you: a) slot what you crafted in university, b) convert what you crafted in university, c) sell what you crafted at the university, or d) some combination of a, b, and c. "Whatever you choose," the Professor tells you that, "you have chosen wisely, for only you can decide what is best for you!" The Professor then directs you to go speak with the Dean or some administrator. They advise you that it is time to pay back your student loan. You are given the option to pay now or later. If you pay now, you get your diploma (souvenir) and a "Master Crafter" badge. If you don't pay now, you can pay later to obtain the diploma and badge. Sign me up for SIB 201, ABY 302, and CPP 403!
  22. And get a team that I can join. I joined a team of Rando's!
