I already have an SSD with Windows and some frequently used programs. The HDD mostly has documents and photos.

I appreciate the responses. I learn new things and ponder the options. The HDD mainly has work documents and they do frequently get edited as drafts and older, complete documents used as templates sometimes. But more than half are PDFs, photos, videos, etc. that will never change. All of the work stuff is automatically backed up to Dropbox in the cloud. Since it is an older computer, I don't want to put too much into it, as I expect I will be buying a new system within a year or two. Like with cars, I tend to use computers until they just about die of old age. I also got a free used Seagate 2 TB internal HD. I guess I'll plug that one in, but I suspect that it may also be old and decrepit.

I've got about 500 GB used up. Looks like 1 TB SSD is about 2 times as much for half the space of the 2 TB HD. Money isn't the issue, but that seems like a bad trade off at face value. But if it's that much faster maybe it's worth it.

I have a 5 year old PC that has a 2 TB hard drive on it's last legs that has mainly work files that are backed up. I'm looking to replace it and seeking recommendations. Should I just get another 2 TB HD -- like a Seagate Barracuda for under $50? Something bigger or smaller? An SSD instead? Any suggestions?

Yes, these types are bundled by what they enhance, regardless of level or source. So a level 50 acc/dam HO is bundled with a level 35 acc/dam D-Sync, a level 40 acc/dam Titan-O, and level 43 acc/dam Hydra-O. You can also use them interchangeably to combine and boost a level. Note that D-Syncs have a few combinations that are unique to just D-Syncs and therefore have no comparable HO/TO/HyO to bundle with.

Wut? If you are referring to AboveTheChemist's post above yours then you and I are reading it very differently. If you're referring to some other post then I think you need to provide a quote or other context.

As stated by others, there is a "standard" amount of XP per critter of X rank and Y level, but that standard amount can be modified by a number of factors. "In the wild," certain critters or factions are given added or reduced XP. For example, Family as a group gives reduced XP at 50 as they were considered less dangerous as a whole; Rikti portals used to give XPs but that was removed and the Lts that summon them given bonus XP to compensate; and as stated above, Freaks has a sightly lower XP rate that is balanced by the few critters that rez for "bonus" XP. The AE also has XP modifiers for custom critters. They have to have at least one ranged attack and enough attacks or defenses to make them "worthy" of 100%. Additionally, custom critter factions need to have a mix of bosses, Lts, and minions to get full XP as the OG devs wanted to curb the appeal of Boss and EB farms. Pancakes must make bunny brains smarter. I agree with Ura Hero. I try not to do too many "within set" conversions, unless the set has only 3 pieces, like Blessing of the Zephyr, because then you have a 50-50 chance of getting the -KB piece in BoTZ because you have to convert to one of the other two pieces and not stay the same. I'll also do similarly when I get the worst piece in a good set, like the end/rech in Luck of the Gambler -- it would be great to have the +7.5 recharge but any of the other pieces would be fine too. Other than those types of situations, when I do convert within set, I try to limit it to 5 or 6 attempts at most. Flipping between categories is generally limited to once from uncommon to rare as I will usually only do the conversion when that is the known outcome. Flipping within rarity can go on a bit, but after about 5 or 6 flips I try to accept something that is "good enough".
