  1. That's kind of what I was saying. The best options for it aren't exactly ideal. War mace has jawbreaker and shatter, claws has follow up, Katana has GD and GC, stone has seismic, energy has bone smasher and rad has DB. They can all kinda field it without losing out on something, Savage has to kind of give up something for it. Uptime isn't great with it in SL, either. Leap on St encounters seems standard to me, though. The FOTG and really fast cast and proc-ability just makes it seem like a no-brainer to swap in over a maiming/savage strike when it's up. I do it all the time on my brute.
  2. I wasn't paying attention and posted in the wrong thread the first go, lol. ANYWAY! My two newest characters that I put some extra costume love into. An Energy/rad scrapper that is very quickly competing with my claw/bio as the favorite. And a War Mace/Shield that I was playing around with, and really liked how the cyborg eyes worked out with the helmet+mask.
  3. Oh jeeze, my bad. Reeding iz hard. Hidden. 😛
  4. Can't run if 'yer dead. Claws/stone would probably be very strong as well.
  5. @Sovera I'm working on a rad/rad now (on a bit of a rad kick this week, eh?) And I could very easily see the scrapper version of rad/stone getting sub 5 minute times. It's single target is a lot better, and the aoe is mostly the same if not better.
  6. Trapdoor has a lot of narrow hallways, awkward jumps (especially if a web nade tags you right before) and big, lethal resisting mobs that combined with the vents, can very easily body block you and prevent proper positioning for a set like claws, in addition to the higher-than-normal lethal resists. Most aoe centric melee sets have 'good enough' burst to body a boss, and most ST focused sets have 'good enough' aoe to wipe out the minions/LTs so you can focus on the boss. There's also some RNG to it, a poorly timed smoke grenade can set you back if you don't want to use insps. This does undervalue some sets, but it does seem like a good enough average benchmark in most cases, if you can work around the minor annoyances. Especially the camera. Side note for @Bill Z Bubba: I tried my warshade earlier since It's one of my mains and I was confident in a good time, but I got four quantum galaxy boss spawns in a row and gave up on getting a good time. While they aren't a threat to my character, they are a big bag of hit points with resists that heavily stalled the time. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but if I try again tomorrow and it's consistent, it make's the clear time alone for trapdoor a suboptimal way to measure them relative to other classes. Absolutely shredded the minions/LTs, though.
  7. I think it's largely because scrapper savage doesn't really have a good attack to put the ATO in, especially since hemo sucks. There's vicious slash, but you'd want vicious slash to benefit from the proc. So brute catches up to them, since that proc is basically the only thing putting scrappers on the map still.
  8. I didn't give it a bloody F. C is perfectly fair for SR.
  9. Been meaning to try rad melee on a non fire farming alt. Very nicely done.
  10. I hope it's good because I have always never liked tanks and leaned on brutes. But due the nature of how this build works, with the rampant proc abuse and extra durability, I don't personally see a brute clone outperforming it. Rage scales better, they hit more targets, the range is absurd and you can basically only die if you don't watch your crashes. That said, I love my ice/fire brute and will try it later. Less durable than my main, but very good at killing.
  11. I probably will when it's finished. There's a really good one in the HC discord, in the meantime.
  12. Gonna look a little scuffed while it processes. Kinda mad about getting stuck on that guy's head, but I won't complain about a 4:20ish time on an unfinished build. I'd push for a lower time, but it's time for sleep. 😛 Anyway, yeah. Rad/SS is one of the most disgusting characters you can make in this game short of feeding a fire blaster reds.
  13. The one that survives my criticals is probably a boss. 😛
  14. Finally decided to stop being lazy and respec my claw/bio into a build I planned last year. Also, didn't have evolving armor on for the runs preceding this, fun.
  15. Jesus, this map is awkward for claws. Got some good times, but going to try to push for sub-5 minutes before I post it.
  16. Yeah, they only got me once, but it was interesting.
  17. Before I run some test runs, I'm curious. Does anyone else have some issues with the first mission in the arc? The gigamurder incarnate buffs seem to take a long while before kicking in, surprised me when I got one shot running for the mender.
  18. Decided to give it a crack on my main, since I never really benchmarked my characters with Trapdoor. A few disclaimers: 1: I had offensive and survival amplifier up from when I last logged in, though I genuinely don't see them impacting the time that much on this character, 2: I leveled mid-run, which might skew things slightly, but I'm not re-running over it. 3: I've not been active for the last few months, so still getting back into the momentum here Also decided to handicap myself by not touching the incarnate powers outside of whatever passive benefit they give me. I'm pretty happy with it's performance here regardless, I'll likely throw it at a pylon once the amplifiers fall off, it had a 1:50ish time but I didn't record it at the time since videos were still banned, curious if I could get that time again. The build is pinned in the discord's brute channel, if you're curious about it. I'm also pretty confident I could get the time lower if I continue to spam it all day, but I'd rather go back to working on my new energy/rad. 😛
  19. While that is heresy to my claw loving eyes, try pulling the packs into eachother if you go that route to take advantage of GZ's absurd target cap.
  20. There's a few interesting bits of patch notes around i16 that heavily imply this is intentional, interestingly enough.
  21. It will benefit from bu+aim, though. So despite this minor flaw, you'll basically delete any robots under a boss you fire it at, especially if you opted to proc it out.
  22. Interesting. Can you record your next go? Feel like I have to try pretty hard to not hit everything in front of me on the claw/bio, and that thing is a buzzsaw using that very combo.
  23. Few I consider to be excellent are Dark/shield, Claw/bio, Energy/rad, war mace/stone(or ninja) and ice/fire. Not sure how rad melee performs for scrappers, should be strong though if you ATO dev.
  24. Are you rotating follow up>shockwave>spin? Should be seamless and your best AoE combo.
  25. You know this from our talks already, but I think savage is the only primary I could say performs better, or at least on par with scrapper and doesn't feel like you're that much weaker on damage. With secondaries, it's a much easier question, given brute stat caps and ATO bonuses being kinda nuts for stacking resist.
