  1. This thread is just full of comedians.
  2. Apparently all it takes to be a power gaming elitist is to point out the objective fact that sentinels don't hold a candle to blasters with minimal investment, with blasters just having higher potential overall. I also think comparing them to blasters I'd a bit unfair though. Soldiers of arachnos are basically what sentinels wish they could be. Tank buff was mostly fine. I just take issue with the damage cap nerf, as I never had issue maintaining fury, a damage capped brute should be scary.
  3. Blaster nerfs are unlikely. Maybe fire blast will get a love tap, but really - overall blast set buffs are more likely than blaster nerfs.
  4. Now that videos are back, I do hope the enthusiasm for this thread picks back up.
  5. Today is the day forum arguments become a lot shorter.
  6. Dismissing my valid responses as deflections is a good way to get me to dismiss your outrageous claims (with no evidence, by the way.) That go against ingame experience and general consensus. The fact you honestly believe blasters can't drop +4 bosses in seconds is very telling.
  7. At least you got one thing right.
  8. The fact of the matter is that this is a min/max based discussion. Maybe the best sentinel can outclear stuff like elec or sonic blasters, due to how generally terrible those sets are, but the fact of the matter is any top tier or even middling blaster will stomp the clear speeds of a sentinel. Low target caps, weaker base damage and far less potential with a broken inherent is all sentinel has going for it. It's the poor man's soldier of arachnos. If a blaster manages to solve their defensive woes, it's no contest. This isn't pre-i24 anymore, blasters aren't floor magnets. Their time spend eating dirt for so long has allowed them to siphon power from the well of the furies with their mouths, making them literal gods if built well. Take it from a kheld main, though. Nothing in this game is useless, if you put time into your character, there's very few things in the game that can't accomplish impressive feats. When weighing potential however, implying sentinels can even touch blasters is either ignorant or dishonest.
  9. There's only so many polite ways to tell you you're wrong.
  10. As much as I love the idea of going back and forth with someone who fails to understand the concept of a fair comparison, I think I'll just write you off and go about my day.
  11. It's not false, they have the same exact power options. If the goal is to compare elec blast and fire, you don't introduce a secondary into it, especially in not such a lopsided fashion. Elec isn't even in the same league as the other blast sets, it's not even close and it needs help. And that goes double for the ATs that can't take filler attacks, like blasters can.
  12. Irrelevant, because fire has the exact same options as elec does with secondaries, but also can grab other stuff due to not relying on such things. If the question is X vs Y, adding Z arbitrarily just renders the whole comparison irrelevant.
  13. Fire's already past electric. The only thing you're trying to prove here is if the secondary can salvage it. There's a reason you don't see elec/fire, elec/psi or elec/anything that much right now.
  14. Fireball is higher priority than flares as filler on ST.
  15. Here's the thing with CoH. If you IO out anything and at least attempt to competently make a build, you should be fine for 95% of the content in the game. You won't be a living god like some other characters can be, but an elec blast character can prosper. But despite that, it's worth noting that elec blast has to be one of, if not the worst primary damage set in the game. I think Battle Axe does more, but I'll have to check the numbers again. It's in desperate need of a balance pass.
  16. Bots will have better AoE, but thugs will be very close while being much better overall.
  17. I have a few 99(+)s and they still manage to net more purps an hour than what I'm sure is the average. Coupled with Faultline's description of the code, I don't see even a remote connection here.
  18. Both powers have identical cast-times, having the rib cracker animation would be pretty cool on the stalker. And the other melee could potentially enjoy double-curbstomping or double tiger-kneeing people in the ribs, it's a win/win! Figure it's a seemingly small ask that could be neat to add if power customization ever gets a glance.
  19. I can't comment too much on this as I don't proc my MMs and such that much anymore, but I will say that the soulbound proc change to this day remains a very shortsighted and generally bad change. It was intended to proc on both the player and the pet it was slotted in. Why would you put it in something like tornado, otherwise?
  20. Our return to glory is inevitable, my squid brothers!
  21. Don't touch this, either - unless you just want to go all the way on spiting KM players.
  22. The power hardly overperforms even with the extra crit, so I would not call it a balance issue unless we were talking about how the change hits an already hurting set. @Glacier Peak You seemed to imply otherwise with your wording and the topic at hand, but if you're being sincere, good to know.
  23. In addition to agreeing with everything mac said, the speed of KM is also a very appealing part of it. If CS, focused burst and that awful cone get looked at, speeding them up considerably would likely be a very popular way to go about it, if the powers are also tuned to well, ya know, not be generally terrible. However it ends though, autocrit from hide burst is unique and harmless. I don't see why it has to go even in the wake of a KM rework.
  24. Let's start with all the attacks after level 8 being trash? Fixing that is a start. Though considering the amount of time that will probably be needed for a proper KM buff, perhaps burst should be kept until that rework comes. Hell, even then I think it should still stay, It's a pretty cool, unique aspect of KM, there's no real reason to continue with a crit nerf to enforce a rule that doesn't need to be followed at the end of the day. Non-stalker ATs for KM will need even more than stalkers, as part of the reason KM is so good on stalker is that it's not bogged down by a failed gimmick.
