  1. People still misunderstand storm? I thought it was generally considered to be god status in the right hands once you get tornado, nowadays.
  2. Gravity was potent, and it still got an awesome change to singularity. Ice blast is potent, but I wouldn't say no to a BFR buff. Tac arrow was potent, and now it's god status in the right hands. So I don't see why Mass Confusion and TK couldn't get looked at.
  3. I think people who want to nerf seeds are totally in the wrong here. I think slashing mass confusions CD and turning Telekinesis into some Jean gray level mass murder would be more than enough to fix mind without neutering other sets.
  4. Seems simple to me. In a game this alt friendly, after going through "the journey" so many times, you will want to eventually get it over with and go straight to the power spike. Also, some builds aren't strong until IO'd and tend to not be great early game.
  5. The game is easy for three reasons: One - we've had almost ten years to plan out insane builds were the game to come back during that post-shutdown era. As classic WoW proved, when you give players enough time to plan out how to max out an old game, they're going to make it easy by having maxed out, god level characters. Two: The game was designed in an era where keyboard turning and clicking wasn't all that frowned upon/rare, still. Moreso, the game was initially made for relatively small pulls before it adapted into the dynasty warriors level god-slaying carnage it is now. Three: Purples and glad IOs are really easy to get, it used to cost inf cap just to get one FOTG or glad armor proc back in the day, now it barely costs more than a few rare salvage drops. The best way forward is adding new content that's also difficult, or updating existing content to have more gimmicks, I personally wouldn't mind Council re-gaining it's shapeshifting and robotic presence that it just kinda randomly loses once you hit the 40s. But I suppose that's another discussion. I'm 100% against nerfing things just for being strong. Fire/fire blasters for example, are damage gods - but that's pretty much all they do.
  6. Monster Hunter is the first name that comes to mind. I'd need to think on the power.
  7. I fully support this idea, but it's worth noting that plant is essentially carried by two powers: seeds and carrion. Without them as they are, plant would honestly be pretty garbage.
  8. I don't agree, honestly. Procs don't contain, and I'm of the opinion that controllers don't hit hard enough - hence why so many of them use vast amounts of procs. Seismic being a melee attack that belongs to a single epic pool you can opt into seems fine to me. If proc damage is somehow taken care of, base damage should go up across the board for all control sets - especially gravity.
  9. Regen is the best set in the game if you pop four purples and ten oranges before every fight. Unfortunately, that's useless information from a balance perspective.
  10. Builds that perform extremely well solo, generally, are going to perform well in teams by default. You can be pedantic and try to point out the fractional differences between some build that's made to be carried by cold doms and kins and a build that's got slightly less procs and recharge, but the reality of the situation is that it really doesn't matter in most cases, especially when pugging.
  11. Nerf everything powerful in the superhero game, then we can truly balance the game that thrives on powerful characters doing OP things.
  12. It's only a matter of time before the term 'elitist' is incorrectly used in any given thread.
  13. Proc slotting provides build diversity and allows otherwise underperforming sets to perform at a decent level, like DP or rad blast. I don't really have a problem with proc bombs either. The only part I really take issue with is how harshly recharge punishes procs in general.
  14. Beam/TA. It can solo anything in the game, can outdo fire on raw ST, has more than enough AoE, and has a rather unique playstyle for a blaster. Also happens to level and exemp rather well.
  15. Would be fine by me. Bonus if it's weak enough to have a brute or whatever rip threat easily, but strong enough to stop runners that get tagged by your damage aura.
  16. Bug: Inspiration buffs from the Return to Battle prestige self-rez do not apply when shapeshifted as a kheldian. They will continue to work if you go back to human form after a small delay. Steps to reproduce: 1: Die as a kheldian 2: Activate return to battle 3: Monitor attributes while shapeshifting.
  17. Don't assume it's my idea, this is what other people think 'elitism' entails, not my definition.
  18. Alright, I'm just going to address something really quick. Being a min/maxer, good at the game, or doing high end content isn't elitism. Stop using the term like that, it's wrong.
  19. First half is right. Going past cap still boosts debuff resistance and additionally works as a buffer to prevent your actual value from dropping lower than cap. Edit: whoops, someone beat me to it.
  20. Why would you revive this thread?
  21. Sentinels are basically an attempt to create the 'pure ranged with an armor' archetype, but they're balanced in a way where they just kinda end up as a poor man's SoA. As it stands, they're supposed to be your group's 'sniper', or something like that. The dude that spots and weakens priority targets, but with more emphasis on blasting than say, a corr or defender. Problem is that a soldier of arachnos, for all intents and purposes, fills this role 5000% better. Between their leadership, debuffs and general usefulness at every level with their leadership, they're so much better at the hybrid blaster/support role as a baseline, even with most of their mace/pack abilities being garbage, the sheer amount of utility offered by venom nade and their leadership buffs can't be understated. Best way to look at sentinels would be to loosen some of the AoE restrictions in some cases and make the inherent much less terrible to activate. The way nuke damage calculation works on targets that aren't taped to your forehead is so unnecessarily restrictive. And unlike other things with the game, they can't blame Paragon for this one, Sentinels are a purely HC creation.
  22. SS is untouched and savage for scrappers/stalkers had crit rates 'fixed', which did kill the set for stalkers, but brute was always the best version for savage anyway. TW was adjusted, I was never a fan of the set, personally - but the fixes make me care for it even less.
  23. That's what the mods use to murder posts.
