  1. FWIW, I just checked and it seems that rare recipes (at least the one I got) sell at a vendor for 10k. I actually make more money selling that one specific rare recipe to a vendor than putting it on the auction house. Maybe other rare recipes sell at a vendor for more, I don't know. If I'm not mistaken, rare mini-pet recipes are selling at a vendor for more than 10k. Surely even those adamantly opposed to this would agree that we can at least bump rare salvage up to 10k at a vendor, then... right? And, if rare mini-pet recipes are selling at a vendor for more than that why not match whatever that rate is? Or, somewhere in between?
  2. Yer in the minority there, partner. Yes. I figure anything you post in the suggestions forum has a minute chance of happening anyway (and a 100% chance of being shot down by people who live just to do that sort of thing), but I figure it would be easier to do what I suggested than what you suggest. After all, there's a list somewhere in the code that prevents selling certain items to a vendor, so just add rare salvage to that list - vs. adding a popup warning that can be made to not show in the future and track that decision someplace, plus allow them to turn it back on in the future if they want. I haven't looked at the game code, I'm just guessing. In general, though, I do think we should be doing more of what you suggest. There's a lot of knowledge about the game that exists out here (*gestures broadly at the internet*) that doesn't exist inside the game. Things like enhancement diversification, law of fives, selling oranges or higher on the auction house, etc. that I would love for a brand new player to find without having to load a web browser to do it.
  3. Couldn't agree more, Margaret.
  4. There are many items you cannot sell to a vendor and must sell on the auction house. What I am trying to accomplish is adding rare salvage to that list. I thought I made that clear in my post. For the same reason you can't sell a purple recipe to a vendor for 10k. And I'm glad you are flush and don't have to worry about such things. I'm certain the mathematical geniuses looking at the tables in the database can apply some kind of "Deal Or No Deal" math to that based on historical trends and come up with a number, but really I'm much more concerned with how easy it is to leave a considerable chunk of change on the table by accidentally selling everything at a vendor really quickly: 100k is better than 5k, and still preserves the market. It just makes those "oopsies" when you accidentally sell a rare salvage sting a little less.
  5. I searched quickly and saw a post about this from 2019, but nothing since. Apologies if my Google-fu is not strong enough today and this has been recommended recently. Can we have rare salvage changed to not be sellable to a vendor? Or, up the sell amount? I think rare salvage is selling at a vendor for about 5k, but selling in the auction house for 400k+. Quite a difference.
  6. I have found that immediately after defeating Tyrant, if you stand exactly on top of where he is dissolving, and use Fold Space just as the text says "We are undone..." it does absolutely nothing to help. Yep, oughta fix this one.
  7. Has anyone used this to create a macro for the door in Lambda? That place is easier to get into than out of. When the door is closed, there is a spot on the top middle of the door frame you can click to get out if you manage to zoom out at the right angle. I guess you could use this command to make that easier, at least until that minor annoyance gets fixed.

The missus and I are HUGE fans of DisneyWorld and were commenting that there's some voodoo in place that seems to keep that place unharmed.

I've heard from 2 prominent players (I won't out them for privacy reasons) who are sheltering ahead of Milton. I'm sure we have more from the community in the same situation. Just send them positive thoughts as they weather this weather.
  11. Totally agree - not sure if I have ever had someone complain about about Fold Space, but boy do I hear complaints about Group Fly. (Friendly reminder to take all your characters to see Null The Gull and set permissions there for Group Fly, Speed Boost, etc.) The bigger complaint I personally have is with Destiny's Incandescence. In Dilemma Diabolique, for instance, players sometimes like to be really "helpful" and Incan the league past the first few mobs (after I have just said to take out everything except spines up until the second bridge), or Incan the league to Positron/Valkyrie first instead of Back Alley Brawler/Mynx as I (being the leader and all) prefer. Much like with Hami's where we ask for only Team 1 to use it, I really feel like this power is something you need to be sure you are on the same page as the group leader is before you use it inside of a mission/trial. Otherwise, at a minimum, you create an annoyance with a popup message, probably create confusion, and at worst are actively griefing by Incanning the league someplace like right next to Marauder immediately before a Nova Fist.
  12. For next year, and each year after, pick a random building somewhere and put a Spirit Halloween banner above it. This is important.
  13. I tried Mark & Recall late in an Instanced MSR over the weekend, and the power itself worked. I didn't verify that it worked for pulling, though. I used mark in the bowl, ran to the back of one of the wings and used Vorpal on a bunch of Rikti, then recalled back to the bowl. I imagine I went out of range for that to work, and it would only work twice in an MSR due to cooldown, anyway.
  14. I wonder whatever happened to the Community Helper role? As far as I know, that never got going and that process was very similar to what we're discussing here.
  15. I don't think GL is suggesting everyone SHOULD have them, and I do think she is suggesting the HC staff should be the ones giving them out. It sounds like you both are on the same page, actually. Personally, I'd rather promote leadership by having it be something built into the game that you can work towards that doesn't require a GM to do anything. Example: If you've led 100 successful radio missions, you can go to Luna/START/ATM/whatever and claim a gold title - maybe "Radio Mission Expert" or something cooler than that. Same with any other strike force, task force, trial, or whatever. After you have access to a certain number of gold titles, or a certain mix of gold titles, a new one pops up - "Community Leader" or something cooler than that. I don't have a suggestion for the full selection of titles, just the concept of a plan. I understand that feels less personal than a GM giving you the title. My only concern is the work it would create for staff to do it that way, and the perceived unfairness of "Why does Okie get Goddess of Kheldians and I don't?" which I totally deserve, btw.
  16. I appreciate the sentiment, while also acknowledging that @Laucianna and several others do a lot more for the community than I do. I just have a good PR team here at Oklahoman, Inc. I agree with incentivizing leadership, and over the years I've suggested several things related to that. I think it should be stuff that happens automatically and objectively, and doesn't rely on some vague process including subjective criteria. We can have special temp powers, inspirations, or titles that are purchasable from Luna once you hit vet level "X", or after you've led a certain number of things, or whatever. We seem to be pretty good about counting stuff that happens in the game, why can't we count that you've led Posi 1 twenty times and thereby unlock a temp power you can get that? And, we can make those special things only work if you are a team or league leader at that moment, or for at least 5 minutes, or whatever. Heck, we seem to like creating new currencies, so why not create "Leadership Coins" or whatever? If you lead a team at Mission Complete, you get 1 Leadership Coin. If you are the league leader at mission complete, you get 5. Whatever that looks like, then you can spend those Leadership Coins on stuff like a standardized gold title, special temp powers, special inspirations, etc. Personally, I think we need to be shedding currencies rather than creating new ones, but if we're going to create new currencies I think doing so to incentivize leadership in the game is a good investment in the community.
  17. A lot of people have been asking for Empathy to get looked at again since Live, and at this point I'd be happy for it to get any attention whatsoever. I don't disagree with anything you suggested, but I've always wanted Empathy's Resurrect to be AoE (targeted or PB, whatever). And while I like your idea for Healing Hands I've always thought a cool new Empathy power would be a pet that's basically the opposite of a Dark Servant (a Light Servant?). But seriously, at this point if a patch note just said they removed a comma from an Empathy power description I'd be happy someone looked at the powerset.
  18. Just FYI, this apparently also requires the Stargazer badge - in Night Ward (178, 944, -227)
  19. Thanks, not sure why but I never could find that page. I was probably making my search too complicated or something.
  20. Just checked: Server: Excelsior Zone/Mission: 'The Abyss' 2 Position: [1407.9 -512.0 -2710.2]
  21. We've got $loc and $target, and maybe some others that my Google-fu is not strong enough to find. I'd love a few more: $team1leader through $team8leader So I can /say "Pass [Pacification Grenade]s to $team1leader and [Molecular Acid]s to $team2leader" $zone So I can /lfg "Forming Hami in $zone" And not have to worry about whether I am in Abyss 1 or Abyss 2 or (because it's happened once) Abyss 3. No clue what $zone should return if you are on a mission map or in a base. Smarter people than me can figure that out.
  22. Great idea, so probably the answer is no. But, it would save this conversation: Oklahoman: "Who got the Triple Threat badge?" Player 1: "Thanks everyone!" Player 2: "gg" Player 3: "woah, that was fun" Player 4: {some nonsense about pandas} ... Player 24: "Got the badge!"
  23. Do they summon ALL lores each round?
