  1. Okie is basically a permanent resident of The Abyss, but occasionally has to go to a START vendor to get supplies - Signature Summons, Envenomed Daggers, eggs (and don't get me started on those). So, the trip back to The Abyss is a bit long as I go the length of PI to get to the sub (good spot for a power like this for him), and once I get into The Abyss to get back to our regular meeting spot (another good spot for a power like this for him). Once in The Abyss, I use a bind to give the $loc for the meeting location in supergroup chat. I've found there is sometimes a difference between a macro with a thumbtack location and doing it this way - both here and for Adamastor. Not sure what that's all about, but if that discrepancy could be fixed for this power it sure would be nice to save the trip across PI to the sub, or across The Abyss to the meeting spot.
  2. Indeed. But I am curious how fast it could be done with a small team: Player 1 is stationed in Ouro or a base with a Crystal of Fire and Ice. Player 2 is stationed outside the first mission (cave entrance). Player 3 is stationed outside the second mission (office building). Player 1 starts the arc, then goes to contact and waits there. Player 2 enters the cave as soon as the arc starts, flying to the end and killing the 1 enemy to end the mission. Player 2 then goes to the third mission. Player 1 talks to Heather to get the next mission, then goes to the third mission (the sewer entrance that's really a warehouse). Player 3 enters the office building as soon as the mission is up, taking out all the objectives, then heads to the fourth mission (the real sewer entrance). Player 1 calls Heather for next mission, then they and Player 2 enter the third mission, taking out all the objectives. When done, call Heather for the final mission. Player 3 does Incan or ATT once the mission pops up to the fourth mission, and all 3 stealth to the final room. You could essentially eliminate travel time, I think. Just wonder how quickly you could do the arc with 3 people doing something like this.
  3. I love/hate that trial. It's a fun little trial if you don't want to worry about badges. I mean, if the bug happens you don't get the rewards, which sucks, but at least it was only about 15 minutes long. If you are going for Triple Threat, though, that bug can be really frustrating. Even if you do everything perfectly you can fail a Triple Threat because an AV will regen immediately after you give the kill order. Perhaps more commonly you'll see a player not control their damage ("Itchy Trigger Finger") and accidentally mess up a run. So when you manage to roll a natural 20 on that little dice roll and no one otherwise messes you up, you sure don't want this bug popping up in the final battle.
  4. I've often wondered how quickly you could run the Heather Townshend arc with a team of 3-4 players, each with Incan or ATT, setting it to -1x1, and stationing the players at known mission entrance locations.
  5. I had 2 GMs respond once, immediately after it happened, and both said there was nothing they could do about it once the bug happens. What I took from that was it wouldn't matter if they'd had an additional 2 hour timer - once the bug happens, you're hosed.
  6. Not always, and maybe not at all in this case. You're welcome to try it. The demorecord option is the most reliable way I have found for this sort of thing.
  7. I've had 2 of my Hami raids ruined in a similar fashion. Maybe they were just trial running it on my raid before doing it on yours. Hopefully, we'll get that fixed, or at the very least get the instanced Hami that someone is supposedly working on. In the meantime, just a reminder that anyone in the zone can probably adapt the demorecord option mentioned in my signature that I use for LAM badge runs to catch the culprit(s). I'll be using it myself going forward.
  8. Got a guide in my signature about the Heather Townshend arc, if you prefer to solo. You can run a Speed Lambda in about 12 minutes, and don't even need a full league to do it. It's probably the easiest iTrial to lead at this point because everyone just knows what to do. And, yes, you can "zip" 50 Empyreans into 1 Transcendant at an ATM and mail it to yourself.
  9. I'm at a point where I wonder why we keep the suggestions forum. The forums, in general, have their problems, but the suggestions forum specifically can get uglier than truck stop sushi, and fast. Realistically, I see very few ideas from there make it into the game at all (which is a whole other problem) but there are the usual suspects that frequent there who will fight tooth and nail against any idea posted, as if it was immediately going into the game with the worst possible implementation and would thereafter ruin the game completely. To me, it looks less like a "discussion" subforum, and more like an argument subforum.
  10. As others have said, it is, but maybe also consider joining an MSR when you can, as well. You still gets lots of XP, and you get to play the toon a bit, too, so you can try it out.
  11. It's a really frustrating bug, and one of 2 big things I hope they fix with that trial. The instructions I give is that Tyrant needs to fall after the second round of lights appear to avoid the bug and we seem to avoid that glitch - even if we do end up taking him out a couple seconds early. There may be a story reason for the baby Tyrant phase, but I'd just as soon get rid of it entirely if that avoided the bug. It's funny you mention this bug at this time. I was running a Triple Threat attempt the day before yesterday and we appeared to have got it, so I gave the warning I mentioned. Someone in the league chat said "I've never seen that happen, but I trust Oklahoman on this one."
  12. My top 5 CoH annoyances (in no particular order):
  13. I'm asking for it to be part of the click menu.
  14. When you click on a character name in chat, you get a popup with options like "Invite To Team" or "Send Message". Two additions I'd like to have in that list: "Send Email" - opens an in-game email pre-addressed to the characters @global "Target {Character Name}" - attempts to target the character, which of course won't work if they are too far away, etc. "Can someone tp me into the bowl? I don't have fly."
  15. I would support a KB->KD toggle, but when you toggle it on it automatically posts a request regarding Group Fly to the suggestion forums.
  16. *Vayne Glorious has entered the chat* Seriously, some of us are not alt-aholics, and/or keep other characters on secret second or third accounts.
  17. The final winner was Too Many Tacos! (I ain't never heard of such a thing, but whatevs) Thanks to everyone who participated! Happy Holidays!
  18. I'm not paying a lot of attention, but I think is pretty much every case it's been someone who was actively attacking the Drop Ship.
  19. Witchstrike won today! Final run tomorrow, then we're back to the measly 100 million inf reward. 🙂
  20. This thread went a little better than I expected. It may be best to think of the whole concept as "Collectable Cards" rather than "Business Cards" - people get hung up on words sometimes. And the quote part of that can go if we fear people being juvenile with it, though they're still going to be juvenile in their bio, character name, and chat. So, you know all those untouchable things you can summon right now that do nothing, like mini-pets? I'm suggesting a temp power sorta like that. When you click it, you get a popup selection for all the "business cards" you've received from other characters. You select one, and that card is displayed in front of you - your character does the same animation as though you were summoning a mini-pet, and poof - a hologram of that player appears with the costume they selected and probably just their name (since the quote part seems to be a problem). As for the "card" - think of an Oscars statue (that's your character in the costume you selected for your card), with the character name circling around the midsection like the Universal logo circles around the equator. That's sort of what I had in mind, but again people smarter and more artistic than me might have some better ideas. That's it. If you move, the business card goes away. You can't interact with it, it doesn't do anything for you. It just sits there and looks pretty. It's just to look at. As for the why? Well, we've have 2 locked threads now on how to do a memorial for fallen heroes, and that's what sparked this idea. Maybe I don't want @Snarky in charge of creating my memorial in AE or whatever else, for... reasons. I love Snarky, but come on. 😄But, I can give him (and others) my business card and when there's a bunch of people /e torch'ing in Ouro one or more of them can summon my business card so we know why they are all /e torch'ing to begin with. Or, it can be just a fun thing to show off. While waiting for an MSR to start, maybe I summon Snarky's business card to show off how cool I am because in a moment of poor decision making Snarky gave me their business card. And, yeah, people may bug you for your business card. That could get annoying. Maybe someone smarter than me can come up with a way to fix that. I can't imagine it being more annoying than someone hounding you to be global friends - at some point maybe you just put them on /gignore, I guess.
  21. As has been pointed out by others, the forums really have become ugly - this suggestions forum doubly so, in my opinion. But I had an idea sparked by the 2 now-closed threads regarding memorials, so I thought I'd throw it out against my better judgement. Basically, everyone can get 2 temp powers: Give Business Card, and Business Cards. Give Business Card is a temp power you get by visiting an Icon tailor. You select which costume slot you want to appear on your business card and whatever quote you want associated with the card. For example mine might use my 1st costume slot and have the quote "Be Excellent To Each Other." When you select a player and click your Give Business Card temp power, that card gets added to the other players list of Business Cards. A player can then click their Business Cards temp power and get a list of all the cards they have received. When they select a card from that list they place a hologram generator on the ground that displays the business card. Sort of like a pet, I guess. It doesn't do anything other than just show the business card. It's not a permanent fixture in the game, which I know is what some would like. But, I could see where it would be useful beyond just memorials. And it would give you, as a player, discretion over who you wanted to give a business card to. I could see it creating a more social aspect, too, as players look to collect business cards from other players. From there, maybe, we could someday make an option to give your business card to a supergroup, for them to use in a base in a more permanent fashion. That's a Phase 2 sort of thing that I don't have thought out too much.
