  1. For starters, the folks who have to deal with/chase down said stragglers. Bearing in mind that the things most likely to survive an AoE kaboom are also the ones most likely to kill you back.
  2. I'm in favor of anything that stops pets getting deleted the instant Foot Stomp goes off.
  3. "August in Phoenix, Arizona. Your agent is a MORON!" - Walter, to Jeff Dunham
  4. That doesn't mean the HUMAN EYE can handle it any better - and VR doesn't let you alt-tab or look away from the monitor if the in-your-face storm of dozens of powers going off starts to hurt. Which it will.
  5. My Razer Naga is older than my current computer (which is a Windows 7 machine) and works great, but now I know better than to go back to the same brand when I eventually need a new one.
  6. Increasing the amount of stupid doesn't mitigate existing instances of stupid at all.
  7. I don't think there IS a merit reward big enough to justify putting up with that bullshit Reichsman fight. That's just terrible mission design all around.
  8. This gets REALLY tiresome on the Everlasting MSRs. The leaders are great people otherwise, but no matter what they just CANNOT get it through their dense heads that stealth does not affect Rikti aggro.
  9. If you want to be able to act when the chips are down, yes you do need KB protection.
  10. If you have as much experience as you claim, then you know pets don't have the health to absorb big hits regardless of resists, and that being able to replace them quickly is only useful if the enemy doesn't glance in their direction before you get them re-buffed. Masterminds can be strong as long as the encounter plays to their strengths. Fortunately most encounters in CoH do that, being made of packs of enemies that hit lightly enough a pet can survive. But the ones that don't, REALLY don't. When an AV (or anything you can't shut down with the limited CC options available to a MM) has a big aoe, only sheer luck will leave any pets standing when it goes off. (And only turning the speakers down will save you from permanent hearing damage, but that's an entirely different category of stupid design.)
  11. IF you have a defense-buffing secondary that makes pets all but unhittable, AND you have time before engaging to get said buffs running, yeah, pets can be hard to kill as long as RNG feels like playing nice. But those secondaries tend not to generate the DPS numbers you're claiming, and they still get gibbed when they roll that 1. As for "not buying what I'm saying", you don't buy ANYTHING that doesn't present player characters as overpowered gods that need to be nerfed to the ground, so you really have no leg to stand on there.
  12. At about the same rate as the aoe that deleted them in the first place recharges, yeah.
  13. Not so long as they can instantly lose nearly all their damage to a single enemy Foot Stomp, they aren't.
  14. Considering every move the devs have made so far has been in the direction of mitigating knockback, this is highly unlikely. The immob change was specifically so control sets could easily corral effects that would otherwise send mobs flying out of reach, and there was, at one point, a test on beta of a one-stop "convert all KB to KD" solution. Gravity control has also had the pull-in effect added to Singularity which more than overpowers any knockback that thing does. The devs have recognized that putting knockback in so many things was a dumb idea. The odds that they would reverse course and outright ruin a set that heavily relies on a KD damage patch to be viable are very slim.
  15. You must be replacing your F10 key on a regular basis.
  16. That just opens up the most common of the long list of "force-flag someone for pvp so you can gank them" exploits - jump into their aoe while you're flagged and they're trying to fight pve mobs.
  17. TW is all smashing. Because big honking hunk of material, edge or no.
  18. I suspect being allowed to stream the game IS the news, insofar as there is any news. It's in NC's interest to string this thing along for a good while.
  19. It puts out some nice damage, but it also debuffs your team from the stench.
  20. And when the lag spike lets up, you see that the deafening noise you heard was most of that force getting deleted by several enemy aoes.
  21. 57.5% defense is, IIRC, slightly short of Incarnate softcap. Totally plausible for a tier 4 Incarnate power to give you that, at least momentarily.
  22. Ever finished out a contact's arc just to get them the hell off your list? I have.
  23. And here I'm just using it for Disintegrate warnings in the Keyes iTrial.
  24. Anyone who's not high-tier-superhumanly durable is gonna be in no shape to fight after being strung up like that for a long time. Things like "suspension" and "energy drain" take one hell of a toll on the human body. Posi's doing pretty damn well just to keep up with you at that point.
  25. That's the antithesis of a bribe. That's how you ensure redside is as empty as the pvp zones.
