  1. yeah but nobody's getting up for about 60,000,000 years
  2. So those "worthless" holds in control sets (looking at Poison and TA in particular) that do nothing but hold - actually with a Lockdown +2 mag suddenly seem pretty damned good in the round, amirite?
  3. Salad Bloody Salad; Plant/pain I was never a heavy metal fan but as an honorary "Black Country Mon" I love what he gave to my adopted home territory. As a music fan and radio presenter with an eye on the jazzier side of the tracks I encountered his mentors (allegedly) in Jazz Sabbath, a small jazz quartet that he unashamedly plagiarised and ripped off. What listening to them taught me was that Black Sabbath had a very great body of work. It wasn't simply thrashing guitars and making noise. Listening to it you get some genuine musical craft and for all Ozzy's feigned weirdness and deliberate strange there was real, actual musical talent in Black Sabbath and they did change music for ever in a very positive way.
  4. I kinda have an idea of what "Mag" is. I don't think it has much to do with red hats (or any other linux distro) but it seems to me it is about the "weight" of a power on an opponent. My question is more about how you accumulate and stack it, how do you make it meaningful... back in the day,we'd talk about Ghost Widow's 1000 mag on the LRSF... which basically ripped your proverbials off and there was no way you were getting out of that but that's not a thing these days it seems. What I would love is a guide to "Mag" but I've searched for it but... maybe my search fu is weak
  5. I've had this issue for a very long time but my "Team Window" is very difficult to click on. It takes several attempts as though there's something blocking it that must be defeated. Hard to describe but it's the only window that I experience this with. All my other UI works fine.
  6. That latrine buried in the tunnels in Grandville
  7. The Login button but I also have to give massive props to that amazing person who one day said to somebody who knew what to do with it: "Would you like some code?"
  8. you still have your keyboard and the Function keys. Just because you have some new kit doesn't mean all the old kit is obsolete. Never forget that all tools are available, should you choose to use them.
  9. Of course, if you want traps that will kill everything on the map you want Deccan Traps
  10. Sounds like Alchemy! We'd need a whole new workstation for bases
  11. Two opposing viewpoints and yet both correct. Interesting!
  12. Angel of Mons is now 40. I say that and wish I was 40 again like many of you reading this. But that's another story. I've unlocked the patron pools so I've access to everything. I've taken Hover because that's absolutely thematically necessary and I will have to take one of the fly powers and I'm also getting good results with Combat TP so maybe a couple of the powers from there such as Combat TP and TP Foe I've taken Soul Mastery as my PPP but I don't especially like it as a fit - Leviathan, with a bit of suspension of belief and colouring might be a far better fit and I've always liked Sharkskin and Bile Spray. But I'm open to suggestions on most of this. The question is now, what should I be thinking of longer term? She's pretty strong in a group and even if I get ganked I can often give good account of myself given a moment to set some defensive powers up. Slight End issues, but with better slotting that's less of a thing. I'm less worried now than I was and incarnating can be considered down the line but I like this as a character so intend to develop it more fully in time All input very welcome.
  13. Poison/Water is very potent if you don't mind taking your time.
  14. You can't beat a bit of good ol' fashioned doo wop!
  15. I think if I was gonna try something like that I'd have to take a pretty static character that can go for the set piece - My Dark/TA is seeming quite promising but I fear it would lack damage. Maybe a Demons/Storm (I was gonna say Beast but they are more close range)
  16. I have no recollection of ever using it before but I did pick up one of my dark toons the other day (I don't have many) and it had Black Hole. It was not well slotted but I tried it a few times and I got it and I actually found I quite liked it. I understand what it's meant to do and it does actually seem to do it Make of this what you will but I was pleasantly surprised at how it functioned and what it does.
  17. Ok just to clarify that I understood what you say here... Summoning pets costs endurance and slotting the pet with Endredux is what mitigates that? Fluffy has a short lifespan, so is that a factor there?
  18. I think there's your real problem. Traps is very very powerful. Sure, it's slow, and on a fast moving team it's not going to do a huge amount but if you're on a team that's moving that fast, clearly it isn't that necessary and you can kick back and focus on your primaries - but you've still got your lovely FFG following you faithfully allowing your squad to get in their and biff stuff on the nose. But when the proverbial excrement impacts a rapidly rotating impeller, you can hold everything solid and allow you and your team to hold a line, just by popping down some useful tools and letting henchmen and teammates do the damage Not every set needs to be build to help you rush headlong into danger. If you ever play it solo or in micro-teams you'll find out just how useful it really is.
  19. That's interesting and worth thinking about. Thanks
