the thing about this toon and trying to best Trapdoor was that I've done it many times in the past on other alts and rarely ever had such difficulty, and none of those were tricked out with IOs or procs. I often go for the Incarnate arc right after dinging 50 just to get it done and make sure I'm qualifying for all the rewards, whever my next path takes me. This is one of those times when I had great difficulty - and yes, just with trapdoor - (Symphony has a couple of solid holds which are good for Warwolves, and Council generally are no biggie) I did get it done but I came away feeling very underwhelmed.

I do love how as a community we have remembered players, even if they were not well known to us all personally. That's special and reminds us that however dispersed we are, we remain a family with a very very specal bond, that is unique.

I'm a little curious about this post - OP makes it sound like a massive decision, I'm unclear why s/he needs certain criteria to be qualified before playing. Why can't they just play and see for themselves?

I decided to run her arc because... not done since live and I figured I would enjoy the occasional *hoorrrb* and breathing air sounds. Twinshot seems especially agitated and would never keep still - it seems like she has no clue where to position herself and darts back and forth all over for no obvious reason even during dialogue. I know she's a loon, but this was offputting and ridiculous at the same time. She simply would not remain in the same place for a moment during any of our encounters. Other NPCs did... but she was manic.

Well... it actually does. But I have used it consistently for a while and I see no evidence that it is any more effective against Undead than any other type of mobs. There used to be a "pop up" result power that came from it that's vanished - but the damage output of the axe seems overall pretty weak and pointless. I have kept an eye on it when killing all kinds of mobs and I see no difference whatever their "life" status.

Interesting point about Cones. I must say I'm a big fan of plant... I have a Plant/TA controller who rocks. I've enjoyed Cabbage a bit but I'm thinking you might have a point about the Thorns. I am not usually a fan of cones myself simply because they aren't always too easy to line up. Thing is, I'm not a fan of fire because of its ubiquity... but I like your advice. Thanks

the OP didn't specify that this has to be a Player Character power - although my presumption is that's what he meant but if we take all powers available in the game isn't Ghost Widow's 1000 mag hold a good candidate?

If I'm honest, that wasn't too much of a problem for my playstyle. I found that there's enough range in both sets to keep at a distance - especially with the added FoW powers. There were several cones, a few good ST ranged attacks, but I just find it clunky and squishy.

Some useful info here thanks. This thread came about because of here: I had the concept and it's not really worked. I've decided I don't much like Symphony, and I've never been greatly into mental powers despite their utility. However I thought I'd try a new concept Dominator, all vegetable, plant control, thorny assault hero who I've named Noble Cabbage Wish me luck!

I've never read that but given they gave us real numbers must've been back in the earliest days so I'm wondering if a Dev Named Jack was the culprit?
