I have an elec/kin tank that I love - was my 2nd tank to 50 and the only one I farm with. Works very well Perhaps that's a contender for this thread

I set my UI up using the following: /Optionsave /Bindsave /Wdwsave /Chatsave When I create a new character I do /Optionload /Bindload /Wdwload /Chatload That way, I always have consistency in my game play and appearance - I don't need to worry about controls, binds etc. If anything ever goes worng with my UI (which happens more frequently than I'd like to admit) a quick /wdwload fixes it right away If I decide that I want to change things up - for example I want to put a new channel in a particular chat window I do it then make the save and then load on new characters whenever I need to.

Fair point. Perhaps it's noticeable because Excelsior is such a successful server and thus almost always busy and active.

Well I was offering an alternative reason for the chat but if you're taking my response so literally perhaps if the fictitious player in question was struggling, maybe they didn't know of the existence of the help channel. Sure, people do enjoy chatting about music, which is fine - I've got a number of music related characters myself, not limited to Earth Wind and Fire and Spandex Ballet - but that's a conversation, not simply spamming chat with the tune their listening to.

if it were a one off, I'd suggest you make a good point but that doesn't seem to be the way it works. I also think that most people would be more game focused in breaking ice: "Hey I'm trying to make this ice/cream toon work but I keep getting melted, any suggestions please?" would be better suited. One of the issues we have in Homecoming is that most people have seen the rabbit, chased the rabbit, shot the rabbit and eaten rabbit pie. Everyone is a veteran except for those who are totally new to the game (who should be nurtured IMO) - so the public chats are kind of "yawn, we've done everything, how shall we communicate now?" /em spits out a few shotgun pellets and a rabbit bone

I guess this is hugely subjective - I've made some toons that are kind of clunky and there are some that simply do not work solo but every combo will work to a greater or lesser degree in a team - of course the caveat is the team make up. But with that preamble out the way, I've never gone after a combo thinking "this is borked" and been pleasantly surprised to the contrary. I always try and have something in mind conceptually at least. I don't play many melee toons but for what it's worth one of my fave toons is my kin melee tank, which to my mind significantly outperforms all (both) the dark tanks I've ever tried. I have little experience so.. go figure?

To be fair, if I listened to a lot of the shite enjoyed by the player base, the last thing I'd do is advertise it. But that's just me and my elite musical appreciation 😇
