I am playing a Dark Armor/Katana scrapper on SO's only. No seed money, selling all recipes and white or yellow salvage. (keeping the orange salvage and rare recipes that drop) I don't even allow her to combine enhancers. She'll never do +4/8, but that not the reason to play her. She is currently lvl 38 with all lvl 40 SO's, about 1.8 mil in reserve influence. She plays it safe at +1/1. At level 40 she will first enter Ouro and then the university, then start building recipes. She has been stealing Hero Merits out of email storage so she can purchase full scrapper sets with them post the lvl 40 change up.

A friend that I ran with back in the day used to say that Sappers stole his mojo. Same with Carnies when they died. They stole Mojo. Likewise, the Empathy could give you Mojo when you were sorely needing it.

I use it to make a judgement of my difficulty setting choice. Do I want to scale it back? Do I want to eat more inspirations and try again? Do I want to invite another players help? Most of the time when I die while soloing I rez back at the base or hospital, log off for a bit, and contemplate my decision. Self punishment is a good motivator. Sometimes I will self-impose restrictions, like not using my travel power until debt is paid.

I am short selling them, they are actually pretty great against Red Caps too. Exemp back to level 35 or so and go Red Cap hunting. Fun times.

IMHO, you waited too late. Ice armor tankers own the christmas event, which is now past. Next year..be ready.

I have an ice armor/stone melee/Earth Mastery tanker that I use to farm cold. Christmas Season is his glory time. I have a SJ/Ice stalker that is a good soloist. Easy to play, not built for teaming. It took forever to get to Energy Absorption though. An Ice/SJ scrapper or brute would be the way. Icicles and chilling embrace baby.

When you want to use your powers exclusively the way you envision them, that means soloing. Teams are going to steamroll, that's just the way it is. Too many think if they get the kill shot they get first dibs on drops or something. Majority of my alts are soloists, that join teams to kill GMs or do an occasional TF. I do maybe one TF a week. It's just too much brain drain trying to keep up. And the drops aren't any better than soloing. There are some really good AE arcs to solo. New content created by talented writers. That's my go to against burn out.

It's great when my defender tosses it. When my blaster tosses it, just a waste of time; one more attack and its dead, so just attack.

Have you ever tried a Fire/Fire stalker? yeeesh The highlight for the set, I kid you not...is placate.

This guy left HC a long while ago. When he wasn't allowed to post video content, he went to one of the alternate servers. Any of this drama he is stating, did it even happen here on HC? I don't want to know, so I'm not going to watch it.

I always take a picture of my trays with my phone so I can put them back the way I like them. I use /cleartray then open up powers window and drag and drop. By lvl 50 I have up to 7 power trays that I use for each character, so its not a small job.

Another way it gets different: Flashing back to lower content and forgetting to ease up on the difficulty. Sometimes it's successful, sometimes its infuriatingly difficult. But that's on me.

It is an autohit attack against mobs(requires no accuracy, unless you want to pvp at some point), that makes runners turn right around and come back to you. So if you think that is useful to you, take it. Slot it for some range.

I enjoy thinking up new ways to play the low end game so its still challenging. Right now I'm playing a defender that doesn't heal self and PLUS I turned off green inspiration drops. If you think everyone is crying to make it easier, I'm trying to make it harder. So your original point is ....ah, whatever. Doesn't sync with my world view.

You should have done this mission when the zoombies did actual damage instead of just annoy you. You got off light, IMO.

This reminds me of the build I used on live for my AR/Dev blaster. If you can remember back that far, when a blaster got mezzed he would drop his toggles. So he decided never to take targetting drone. Just using accuracy slotting. He had all the Devices secondary except targetting drone. I would hear cry of-- thats the best power in the set!. No it wasnt if it gets dropped when you need it the most, what good is it? So I understand where you are coming from with this build. Have fun with it.
