Er, and my new job, German language study, and trying to keep a workout schedule lol But seriously, the ideas i have for alts (mostly mini mode) are just a bridge too far of burning inf. So combined with life pressures there is just no motivation to dive too far in

Uh….never occurred to me to pop an Incarnate power in those situations lol. I tend to rez, eat some skittles, get my armors up (dark, this is where it starts to bog…) then see if i can deal with (usually a small army) what put me carpet facing

My ideas might be different…. SG mode does nothing in the current game…. And would work. My idea does not suck. Yomo, I am insulted. You owe me one billion inf. Now as a Vampire… okay I suck. My plots, plans, schemes, and strategies do not suck!

Except for having to pump a target with it once in a while it is EXACTLY as effective as all standard Blaster sustains.

I know this is a Blaster area…but my dark dark corr is pure melee. Two mag2 aoe stuns = mag 4, then soul drain, then nuke with huge -to hit debuff then scourge what is left

My only issue with self rezzes in CoH (I like them, and they are on a few toons, mostly Brutes). But there is this thing… If you get planted. There is a good 75% chance that if you rez…. Yeah. And the hits just keep coming lol.

Brutes do fine in this content. Depending on the sets/build. (At this level you need a “real” build) you will find your Brute doing different roles. A whatever/Invulnerability Brute might be off tanking (or Tanking!) this. A Fire/Fire Brute might be rolling in a “heavy scrapper” style of play. It really depends on a number of factors. 1) how well you know the content at the difficulty your team is running it 2) your Brutes powersets 2a) your Brutes build 2b) probably most importantly….how well you run this particular Brute at this level of play 3) team composition, almost more important in this is very experienced players over “perfect team assignments”. 4) if everyone is having fun. A have fun team will get through tough times way better than a bunch of grumpy old vampires…erm. okay, good luck 🧛

I tend to certain themes. A main one is undead, specifically calling out my main, the vampiest of vampers. Another theme I have is mutants. But I tend to need a story behind it. What caused the mutation? A bodybuilder using steroids, and cocaine to have the energy for endless workouts. Then starting experimenting with Rogue Isles pharm like Superadine and Excelsior? Before getting "recruited" into a CREY drug treatment plan. Where they were experimented on to stabilize the crazy mix of drugs and tech from Vahzilok that CREY stole. And becoming half dead but unstoppable. I give you a SS/Will brute and possible origins of Magic, Mutant, Science. Let's rule out Natural there. Got a robot theme running on a good percent of my characters. Some that are mech liches. Take a lich and fuse it with a self repairing robot and you have....fun?

My Dark Dark Corruptor with two stacked mag 2 AoE stuns (mag4) and a PBAoE Nuke that leaves people as accurate as Stormtroopers is great on point. Even has a meh non suppressed stealth to get in close. Move fast, hit hard, stun/nerf toughest mobs, burn (scourge) repeat.

As SeraphimKensai and others pointed out, yes and no. If you open the build in MiDs and see Resistance values over 75% that is (mostly) wasted on a Scrapper. Almost everything else transfers with different effects based on lower health etc. This is more of an issue on Resistance Armor builds. Which in my opinion are better as Brute Tanks, just from build theory crafting. Your Def builds or a mixed build like Invul will encounter this less. Some Armors have one super high Res value. That you can just ignore. CoH has oddities like that, that make sense from a theme point if not an efficiency point

Dark Dark is a beast solo. The to hit debuffs and stacked AoE stuns can give you a LOT of time with no hassles Here Dark Pit and Oppressive gloom work together to give you a Mag 4 stun over a decent area of anyone who decided to get close. The various other fears and massive to hit debuffs keep jabbing at the crowd keeping them polite as well. Having the Mag 4 stun on a Dark using Soul Drain is a sweet mix. Once you get into nuke zone you have a billion tricks no one can mess with. Stun, Soul Drian, Nuke, Cleanup with cones and a ST or two. Move on. Corruptor - Dark Dark Mez build v 1.02.mxd
