i've gotten impatient and pulled Nighstar with a Blaster before. Siege is too far down, that road is paved with tombstones

*cough I am on a Dark Dark Blaster and I LOVE to lead into a fresh spawn if the team is lagging. I just ran a MSR and would fly out of the bowl and nuke groups to pull them down, just like I would on my Brute. Okay, I ran faster without waiting to see the effects.... Once in a while this causes a faceplant. But it is pretty rare. And sometimes...full spawn wipe. Most times unless level is cranked the spawn is just ragged bones left over. If my nuke is noty up I lead with my KD proc'd cone and just start hosing. (4 cones)

I would advocate shorter broader range AoE cones for all Sentinels. or most. CoX always has outliers. Something like converting two lesser performing powers in most Sentinel attack sets to clones of Kinetic Melees Repulsing Torrent (40'. 45 degree arc. or even 60+) with higher target caps, and Kinetic Melee Focused Burst. 40' ST High Damage attack.

Oh, you can give PvPers badges, hats with rotating propellers, whatever. Then insulate that from PvE by not having it display in PvE zones to anyone looking. In case you missed the sub text, I HATE online PvP. You want to PvP me? Let's grab a chessboard. Put away the phone comp. Let's PvP.

i still vehemently disagree with this decision. PvE and PvP should be completely separate.

Uun posted upthread that you should use Tar Patch every time it is up. I actually had pretty good luck doing this. Not dying and really screwing with mobs. When it looked fierce I would wait for the agro to be grabbed. The only issue is the Blaster just does so much more damage. I can clean mobs that the Corr is debuffing.

Makes pocket D more popular. To me the D has fond memories. No, not of furries and cat gurlz. I play on Excelsior to stay away from the bulk of that. I remember on live getting the good vs evil edition of CoX. This came with a city map, and a credit card sized “Pocket D VIP pass”. Which also had an in game power to get to the Tiki room in Pocket D. I played Redside (shocker) and tgat was my ghetto travel power when you has to build for Stamina and take a first pick to open travel power as second pick. I have actually merged the ideas from that elec Blaster with the playstyle i learned on the Dark^3 Corruptor and rebuilt my Dark Dark Soul Blaster to merge the two. That is now my main. Does more damage than the Elec Blaster, but plays in close. Has Phase Shift in case things go south, or I need to get a few hundred yards through enemies that see through stealth. It lacks many tools from the Corruptor but is quite hardy and hits like…a Blaster. side note, new Sentinel Armor earth w/e has geode which….isnt that-a stationary phase shift? Because i got a lot of grief for “needing it” when Sentinels are above such things lol *clutches anchor tighter….the bottom must be down here somewhere. What does Mary Annas mean?

i have not run trollers. if it has the same powers i would suspect it is slightly better on trollers. it is the two debuffs, one aoe one st that make cold so good. pair that with scourge and DoT (i run ice ice, but fire is tasty) and you got a winner

You should prob move this to the "generic Archtype" forum if you are asking what archetype to be? Fire is a great blast set, and the Cold Secondary on Corruptors is GREAT. But I never play those sets (except cold randomly) So...gl

You cannot trade the Wetware Enhancer you found on a dead Freak for ANY Inf that the populace has bestowed on Johnny Awesome, no matter how much Johnny Awesome wants to make the deal with you.

If I could handle pet class at all I suspect that in some circumstances MMs might finally meet the original goal...being a Tank. The pets are level shifted down in incarnate, but that still makes them useful as bodyguard damage sponges? That cannot be harmed by damage patches.... seems like there is a opportunity there

To summarize: Spend some of the cash you are farming up front for long term greater rewards.

Note I did trade the Kismet from Infiltration to Stealth. Infiltration is never on, I fly. So now it mules LOTG.

You lead most fights on the Corruptor with Tar and Cone of To Hit debuff….errr fear. Then joust to correct range(s) depending on situation I looked at the damages of all similar (same) powers on Blaster vs Corruptor. Big difference. Also the Blaster opens almost every fight with Nuke. When it is not up the Blaster has FOUR cones. One is KB->KD, an immobilize, all do damage and they are recharged almost fast enough to be continuous. It is withering AoE and since the cones are virtually non stop the “cone line up and fire control” issue only needs to be solved once. Or just do an ST burn. Also the Blaster has two Holds. Can hold Paragon Prot or Victoria Robots. And seriously, look at me, I just wanna destroy crap.

I really enjoyed being back on this and finally worked out a good rhythm for PBAoE, then cones and ST range And then promptly rebuilt my Dark Dark Soul Badger Blaster using that knowledge and what I learned about “fake” armoring a Blaster. Now that I understand Dark Dark Dark on the Corruptor I can effectively run the Dark Dark Soul Blaster and appreciate what Dark brings to Blasting. No, I do not have tar patch and fear or as much to hit debuffs. But now I understand the rules and rhythm and can tear through rooms If that does not work I have my Phase Shift and some time to figure another angle on the fight

THe ask about Infiltration is real. It is in my main build and I am like? What good is it? I have hover, fly, and stealth on all the time (Blaster) I needed a mule to get the Concealment Pool Phase Shift. (I really like PS) But except for muling a LOTG I cannot figure a single use for infiltration. About as much use as Brawl.
