Love the name! I can only up the ante here. A Fire/Psi Dominator, male of course. Because that name is flaming. Perma-dom, and Perma on!

I played SS forever on live and have a 50 with it here. The set is extremely powerful. If the crash bothers you .... pick anything else my go-to set these days is Dark Melee. sime people dont like it because not enough AoE. every set has good and bad. Here is the thing. In the modern PvE i/o incarnate game you have to really try to make a horrid toon. I am currently light Bruting on a Blaster. I know my characters armors and the game well enough to not stand in the patg of the truck and i stay alive long enough to kill everything. The sets are not my first choice on paper. Dark/Dark. They do not have exactly what i want. But they have stuff i like and fit my theme perfect find something you like. Run that

What would be your Incarnate Trial team? (Before +shifts)
Snarky replied to Makobolite's topic in General Discussion
Incarnate Teams: (1,2,3,...) Invul Tank Kin Corruptor Defender (any) Controller 2 Brutes 2 Blasters I honestly think there are MANY great options, but if you had to pick one team this would be hard core. I am sure someone has crunched the numbers. would hope to get some type of debuffer in. I think the Tank is self explanatory, The Brutes could be more "farm-type" builds, slightly squishier with damage auras. The Kin is something I would see as very nice, most incarnates do not need speed boost, cant hurt though. But Fulcrum Shift. UG with a side of Lee. That clears hard pockets in less time than it took to type this sentence. -
Considering a Glad is way less hard to come by and I crate LOTGs out of trash recipes that is not so shocking. I really got interested in the thread because of the crazy shift in uncommon salvage prices. Which may have to do with drop rate change in recent patch? Just saw that. Not sure if anyone has posted that before. Again, It is not that we have it "bad" because we do indeed have it very nice. But I, and perhaps others, would like to know why there is a huge change in something. First they come for your yellow salvage...

Thanks to this thread i learned something. I bought all the toilet paper in local stores and am now reselling it at a huge markup down the street. Thanks Homecoming

Okay at least that gives a possible explanation because a 10 fold increase in a few weeks is not normal market forces some of my crafted procs and globals have decreased over the last two-three months from 4-5 mil to 2-4 mil. That is normal. Freaking unfortunate but normal. Going to need to revise my list of what is craftable for profit. Other pieces keep climbing so my net profit on large batch crafting/converting remains somewhat same also because it was asked. The 250 mil for 50 is a rough guess. It more or less includes crafting costs (low) and salvage prices (low). It does not figure in the converters i use since those are all “free” to me from merits and i dont take the time to calculate how many i use or Possible lost revenue from selling it. I would guess it takes a few hundred converters to roll 50 generic garbage i/o into procs and globals. Maybe 400? Complete guess. More than 200 less than 500. Never documented. I just get near 500 and start burning the pile

Still annoying. It was literally just a few weeks ago 5k was a hihh bid for yellow salvage. Now 50k takes time to fill
-
Needed 50 yellow salvage for early morning crafting. 50k a pop still filled slowly while i crafted congratulations flippers. Enjoy the tons ...epic mountainloads... of stacks of infamy. Huge. Stare at it in awe. The joy the sweet sweet smell of success seriously, this is how you make money? Really? because i was crafting 50 recipes to convert and make about 250 mil approx off of. An hour so and kind of a pain is all this flipping just bot addons so a player spends no time investment, gets inf, and has the added joy of being annoying?

I am currently rolling on a Dark/Dark. If you like cones it is very nice. Planning on Soul Epic. I zip into a mob when it is safe to grab huge buffs. If I hit enough enemies on Soul Drain I can jump out to 20 feet, turn around and cone kill everyone. Done. It is definitely a planned maneuver, works well in low 30s. Will be adding Blackstar soon. So, aim, Soul Drain, Blackstar. Not sure on most mobs that I will need to hop anywhere. Suspecting they will have departed. After Nuking the area (and later using Judgement if the Nuke alone wasn't enough) I can start being ranged again without moving, and still having soul drain power for a while. That is the plan on paper anyways

I see this. And So I keep posting. It has been repeated so much, people take it as fact. It is not an instant death sentence. I have had it up and running, crashed, and lived to tell about it many times. Been many years but I am pretty sure it was Reichsman with endless spawns, set at normal difficulty. My Brute just kept going, cycling through T9 Unstoppable, and all the Dark Powers keeping him up. Literally endless waves of minions. Yes, the power crashed. Yes, my bars hit the floor. Or, a MM above the floor. Not like it was a shock. A purple before, then a blue a green and Dull Pain. then 3 more madness minutes if, huge if, because my dark/invuln Brute is seriously bad bad bad, I did a full on build centered around Unstoppable I would modify the I/Os to assume the power was on. That changes the slotting to hit caps. Hopefully making space for more damage, or modifying defenses to be more efficient I might look at it this weekend. Been working 50 hour weeks, so....burnt toast here. I will definitely poke around on it, taking Hyperstrikes Invul Brute template, slapping Dark on it, kicking Unstoppable on, building it Perma, then seeing the room I have left for goodies. Will be an interesting comparison to what I am currently running. But i have run a high end build that used it, granted i have not tried it in in arnate trials. But in trgular high end SFs i have run a Brute that stayed up while team hosp and came back. I was still fighting an endless spawn surrounding an AV. I could not o ercome his regen but i was having a ball destroying the adds. The Dark/Invul kept me up, cyclying tier 9, dull pain, siphon life, and recovery PBAoe
-
I was introduced to a Dark/Invul super high recharge Brute on live. There was a builder who wrote eloquently about the tactics. i copied his build and was amazed. It did indeed do what he promised. Layering tier 9 did not stop the crash but it did not matter sice even small blue and green kicked you back into running territory. Think getting hit by Nova Fist once every 3 minutes my current Dark/Invul is a monster without Unstoppable. But the idea is calling me again lol

I do not need a ton, hmmmm, weird economy, billions and billions laying around. I love TFs, even Posi 1, 2, Synapse. So, I have merits ---> converters. I buy unwanted yellow recipes at lower levels that require no rare salvage to craft. craft ---> convert ---> sell. When I started I did an hour or two at a time, found that irritating. Now I keep everything ready and when waiting for a team/TF to start I start "knitting" Sometimes I get 5 done, other times 20. 20 nets a little over a 100 mil currently, I am sure of a few things in life. 1) I am happy with my current CoH experience, 2) somebody will look at this post and decide a great way to grief someone is to buy yellow recipes and burn them in a bin. 3) I don't care, my toons are currently kitted out and I am not planning on new toons for a while 4) Someone smarter than me will show me how to generate inf easily the next time I need it, because we have more cool peeps than griefers in the Cities.

I knew this thread would come back to those $12---->$50 houses
-
Horse Fertilizer. They are flipping product, gouging prices, lining their pockets and logging off. They are infamy sinks. Useless as a dead squirrel on the freeway, but more annoying.
-
nice spin. but there are limits on what we put on the market. you either cannot see that or are trolling next you bring in some adjectives to say the comparison is not worthy. slash adjectives back out. hmm, sentence looks stupid then. next you change the subject. troll
-
Yes, just like the only thing keeping food from being sold is the limit on people baking bread. yet you can still manipulate bread prices (in the short term) to make a killing. Even if it negatively impacts people trying to put food on their families. and that is sort of the point, flippers manipulate in the short term, to benefit themselves, and they are okay that someone else pays for that.
-
If there is an infinite supply selling at, say 100, I would agree. you could not sell at 101. ever. that is not the case however. We both know this. Everyone on the thread knows this. The supply is not extremely limited (usually, I can point out various ATOs and Purps that are) but neither are they unlimited. It is in the niches that flippers make their returns. Everyone knows this. Seriously not breaking any new ground here. zero creativity. There are freaking doctoral theses and paperback stock trading, and reddit threads on it. No money was ever lost on the stock market. Good thing to keep in mind on a week like this. Not a dime was ever lost. It just changed hands.
-
They ‘have to’? Is this hard coded or something? Because if there are 3 things listed. They buy the 3 things and lrelist them, they are allowed to relist them at a higher price? You see where this is going? If only i had a diagram. Sigh
-
okay. I studied some mathematics once. notice I used the big drawn out word. someone buys something at one price. relists the same object at a higher price. that (stay with me, it's been a long few paragraphs I know) INFLATES the price of the something.
-
no flipper ever created a Brute ATO out of thin air either. A farmer could farm merits and get one. A flipper could buy a random ATO, convert to a Brute ATO and mark the price up a huge amount. Quite easily the argument as to who is better for the players is the Farmer. They create something, rather than just skim off other peoples work and drive prices up.
-
I used to run Super Strength as my Go-to Brute set. Not so much anymore. The Rage crash, even though i have every trick in the world to deal with it, is not something i care to have as a constant companion in combat For melee these days i much prefer Dark Melee.
-
I think they were possibly overpowered with a look towards Frankenslotting.
-
Ice ice, skipping certain i e manipulation melee powers is a strong ranged build. There are some caveats. It is not a high damage set. You need to learn keybinds for location powers. It has a lot of controllery feel to it here is something that changed my ranged blaster outlook. Eight Feet is Ranged. 8 ft. Think about that
-
My market analysis doesnt lie. I asked someone and they said that was what was happening. Then i thought of the rest. Yeah, no, pretty sure i’m right
