  1. Nope, can't give a Tanker that - they'd like it too much.
  2. I don't think it would improve brain function, no. Looking at other possiblities within the genre, it would result in a bad temper and bug wings.
  3. Ignorance can be cured. Stupidity is forever.
  4. I thought that was just next Monday.
  5. Powers->Combat Attributes Right-click something and you can monitor it in a small floating window, up to 10 items total.
  6. I think it happened soon after I posted that we were using it to boost our post count by posting snarky comments under the guise of helping. I was so disappointed, I had another post ready to go. 😞
  7. It's unslotted Quick Recovery. A boss would be slotted QR.
  8. Well, to be fair, the pet summon is all that's in City of Data and the wayback machine doesn't have the pages showing the pet summons to get the numbers from. For once, the in-game numbers are useful, though - the order, in increasing strength is: Underlings, turrets: +5% recovery, 2.5% endurance discount Minions: +10% recovery, 5% endurance discount Lieutenants: +30% recovery, 15% endurance discount Bosses: +60% recovery, +30% endurance discount Elite Bosses: +80% recovery, +40% endurance discount AVs/GMs: +100% recovery, +50% endurance discount All of the buffs last for 2 minutes, and only the recovery portion is enhanceable. I haven't done any testing with it, but I would imagine that the procs would be mostly useless; they're probably fire at a high rate, but once every 5 minutes doesn't make it worthwhile to me.
  9. I gave out 2m to someone who was asking about changes and had just come back into the game on Reunion yesterday, and answered questions for a bit while they asked about Homecoming. It was a break-even for me anyway since when I logged on I had a Red Fortune recipe sold on the market. So if it all someone else's money anyway. :)
  10. To be fair, a Corruptor can do more damage than a Blaster. For one attack, that Scourges. Look, math: 0.75 * (1.95) = 1.4625 0.75 * (1.95) * (2) = 2.9250 (assuming Scourge) 1.125 * (1.95) = 2.19375 They won't do more damage over time except in rare circumstances, such as when the enemy hit points are low for an extended period (huge sack of hp mobs), or the Blaster is grossly incompetent, stupid, and/or fails to understand what an attack chain is. That doesn't excuse the sheer ignorance contained in the OP, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility.
  11. Well, yeah, as long as the Nictus Essences are still there with him. They're easy to AoE to death, and with a lot of debuffs you can take them out with him so that he might only rez once.
  12. Fury decays faster at high values, and gets to a point where you can't gain it fast enough to increase. I think that the only way to hit 100 consistently is for a brief time using the villain alignment power, which just sets the kMeter attribute (used to track Fury for Brutes, Domination for Dominators, and hidden status for Stalkers) to 1.
  13. They aren't challenging, but Cimerorans have Phalanx Fighting and get higher defense when packed tightly together. It's just not enough to matter since by the time you're running ITFs you usually have all of your accuracy issues sorted. The general with all of the surgeons is one Ionic Judgement away from being just a general. The AI on surgeons doesn't pack tightly anyway. Hm... I wouldn't recommend herding and curbstomping a large group of Freakshow Super Stunners unless you run Electric Armor or otherwise think that Malta Sappers are the cutest little things - their end-drain-on-death is autohit and carries -recovery with it. But you'd have to be bringing multiple groups together and leaving the Super Stunners for last to get enough to completely toggle-drop someone.
  14. Mender Roebuck sells inspirations.
  15. Tankers might eventually get a buff for their modifiers that affect the Leadership pool (getting Corruptor numbers for Assault, Maneuvers, and Tactics). That is, they'll get a buff if the patch ever goes live. It's been months. :( If you're running Shield, you have Grant Cover for extra +defense to teammates around you. If you're running Bio, you're a walking damage and resistance debuff with click -regen. If you're running Ice Armor, mobs won't leave you alone. But that's what Tankers are for, right? If I was going with a Corruptor or Defender, pick Time. It's fairly easy to softcap your defenses, you have a PBAoE debuff aura toggle, PBAoE +recharge/heal-over-time, and you can scatter around a single-target +dam/+rech/+regen buff that also makes your heals more effective. /Stone or /Dark Dominators are also good in melee range, have a higher melee modifier than Blasters do, and can take Sleet at the same level as Corruptors.
  16. I would agree that the PvP discussion would be better served in its own thread since this was really a feedback thread for AI tweaks, but including "Pets & Henchmen Updates" in the title led to discussion on updating pets and henchmen. Kindof like the Tanker threads, this one got somewhat derailed by what else people want instead of "focused feedback" on the actual update provided since these threads tend to have a faster developer response.
  17. Context. You're making a PvE reply to a complaint about PvP. Here's the first sentence of the post you quoted before telling them to l2p, and the full sentence that includes the context mentioning the arena: Now, they probably don't need my help but if you're going to start off with questioning whether they've ever played the AT you could at least re-read the post to make sure you're both talking about the same thing.
  18. They were slower, but I still wouldn't say extremely difficult. The few I was in set the rules as level 1 without using travel powers (Khelds were allowed but couldn't use them without being disqualified) and had spotters to make sure people weren't being teleported with Recall Friend.
  19. Those are much easier now with Stalkers available at level 1 blueside and no level minimum on the Rikti War Zone.
  20. Here's the deal: the posts in the past two threads have usually gone in one of the following directions: I don't like these changes because Tankers still don't do enough damage I don't like these changes because Tankers don't need to be "another Brute", you should <do x, drink shot when x is increase aggro cap> instead. I don't like these changes because Bruising is my sacred calf and I shall never give it up I don't like these changes because Brutes should be nerfed I like these changes, when are they going live These "buffs" are a straight nerf, just roll back everything (unique to the latest thread) Which direction depends on who is posting. In the meantime, @Captain Powerhouse has has posted that there will be at minimum one more patch for Tankers which removes the nerf to Tankers' self +dam modifier. So nobody can tell you when it's going live because nobody knows. My vote was to undo the self +dam nerf and push it live before the holidays - I have the end of the year off.
  21. Bruce Dickinson - Tears of the Dragon
  22. As a self-appointed detractor of the old Presence power pool I will point out: two taunts and two fears with nothing else is a garbage pool and that's where the reputation comes from. Pacify replaced Challenge, Unrelenting is supposed to be the lure to make people want to take it instead of a different pool, and the only power that wasn't buffed when they looked at it was Provoke (Invoke Panic got a base accuracy increase from 0.8 to 0.9 and the endurance cost was reduced for both fear powers). After the changes it's not complete garbage, but when you're limited to 4 pools there are usually better options out there. And with that said, play what you enjoy. Case in point: On the old servers I had a Fire/Fire/Flame Blaster with Self Destruction and Rise of the Phoenix slotted for damage. It was complete overkill, and glorious for it.
  23. I had almost gotten fed up enough in an earlier thread that I was going to suggest take Tankers and Brutes and normalize their AT modifiers, taking the highest for each value (which is actually the Tanker values across the board except for the damage cap). Give both ATs Fury (in its live incarnation) and Gauntlet. Then the only difference between the two ATs would be which powerset was the primary, and that Tanker Fire Melee would have Combustion. That was in response to most of the "survivability doesn't matter Tanker need even more damage than 0.95" crowd. I had it all typed out, then deleted it before posting because just typing it was cathartic enough.
  24. Intriguing, but depending on the scale, a minor effect. In addition to the purple patch, regen debuffs are also specially resisted by the same hard targets you would need them most on. Since I play a lot of Corruptors, let's look at some -regen numbers: Kinetics has an easily stackable -50% regen debuff that doubles as an AoE heal... nobody asks for a Kinetic because of the -regen. Dark Miasma has Twilight Grasp for the same -50%, but when people are actually trying to debuff regen with a Dark, they use Howling Twilight instead. Radiation Emission is considered a "good" debuff set; Lingering Radiation is -500% (the -resistance for a Corruptor is -22.5%... barely above the "laughably weak" Bruising, but it's always available and in an AoE). Edit to add: If it wasn't also so heavily resisted, I'd suggest adding a -damage effect (similar to KM's secondary effect) to Tanker attacks; iirc -damage effects are resisted by damage resistance to that type in addition to the purple patch and AV resistances.
  25. Thank you! The plants have spoken! Now you just need to push that patch live asap. 😛
